Comparison of the deflection and stresses has been performed on the location where the highest value of deflection can be measured i.e. on the tip of the cutting insert. Selected tool holder types (TH1 and TH2) have rectangular and polygonal shank. Tool holders were 3D modelled in SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor software packages and exposed to the loading with ANSYS structural analysis FEM software. In FEM analysis, two elements size of the network are selected (mesh size 5 and 1 mm). The simulation was carried out for five different loading values acting on the tool holder model. Obtained results confirm lower stresses and deflections on CAPTO tool holders.","PeriodicalId":224295,"journal":{"name":"Technologia i Automatyzacja Montażu","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124549509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the difficult-to-predict and unspecified technical and on-site conditions for the installation and use of the device, the authors wanted to achieve autonomy by using a replaceable battery as a power source and large storage capacity of a product rack, at a limited size of the device. The machine operates on a contactless payment system (credit/debit card or NFC mobile payments) – to buy a gown, a customer just has to tap or wave their card on or over the card reader installed in the front wall of the cabinet. Purchased products are dispensed automatically, once the transaction has been approved. The vending machine is also equipped with a removable dispenser to better manage any waste generated. The prototype was comprehensively tested in accordance with the developed verification methodology, in cooperation with an entity interested in implementing the device.","PeriodicalId":224295,"journal":{"name":"Technologia i Automatyzacja Montażu","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126847443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the separate differentiation and numbering of these terms, the assumptions of the two approaches do not contradict each other. Industry 5.0 is a type of an extension of the drive for the highest possible degree of integration of automated systems (along with the pillars assumed in Industry 4.0) by finding a place where humans prove to be irreplaceable and their needs are identified as the most essential, central aspect. This leads to the implementation of semi-automated processes in which the cooperation between human and machine is the key. The paper presents an analysis and the results of the studies performed in company that produces vehicle control systems in automotive. The research includes quarter-a-year of studies and observation of production process. The studies aimed identifying waste in production process and proposing improvement methods, with particular reference to automated operations. Implementation of proposed improvements was mainly based on re-programming automated systems, but also on adding new process of cleaning brakes, that allowed to reduce the number of scrapped parts. Moreover, the implicated solutions allowed to achieve reduction of production process cycle time, financial savings and risk of the defects.","PeriodicalId":224295,"journal":{"name":"Technologia i Automatyzacja Montażu","volume":"142 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116308013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, adhesive joints and composite materials are being increasingly used in repairs. During repairs using adhesion, an important aspect that affects the quality of the joint is the selection of the adhesive and the quality of surface preparation of the parts to be joined. This is necessary to get the right bond strength and durability of the joint in working environments characterized by extreme temperatures and exposure to chemicals and moisture. The purpose of the study was to select an adhesive with good strength properties for bonding AW2024T3 aluminum sheets to carbon and glass composites, and to analyze the effect of metal surface preparation on the strength of adhesive joints (grinding, sandblasting and chemical surface preparation). The tests were carried out on overlap (metal-composite) specimens. For selected adhesives, strength tests were also carried out on specimens replicating the repaired damage with a diameter of 20 mm of metal skin repaired by different methods, including composite patches and adhesive joints. The specimens were loaded in tension and loss of stability. The tests made it possible to determine the requirements for composite patches used for repairing upper and lower airframe wing skins.","PeriodicalId":224295,"journal":{"name":"Technologia i Automatyzacja Montażu","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126169010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Experimental investigations and numerical simulations were carried out. According to the results of experimental analyses, shot peening with balls with a diameter of 1 mm for 120 s with a compressed air pressure of 0.5 MPa increased the load capacity of the adhesive joints by 33%. Numerical simulations have shown that shot peening, by deforming the joined elements, reduces the stress perpendicular to the surface of the adhesive layer which results in a reduction of equivalent (von Misses) stress and an increase in strength of adhesive joints.","PeriodicalId":224295,"journal":{"name":"Technologia i Automatyzacja Montażu","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123943057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper aims to compare two very well-known philosophies in the manufacturing industry: Lean Manufacturing (LM) and Six Sigma (6S). The integration of these two philosophies solves the insufficiency that the absence of one of them causes, considering that Six Sigma is based on statistical tools that focus on measuring and reducing variations in processes and achieving goals set by the customers' requirements. Lean Manufacturing focuses mainly on the value added for a client, for example,by eliminating all kinds of waste from processes what leads to the reduction of time and cost of the process. Lean Six Sigma combines the features of both methods, which means that it meets the client's requirements based on statistical knowledge and the process flow control, but simultaneously in addition to that, it reduces the time and cost of the processes. As a result, it gives manufacturing companies the possibility of having loyal and satisfied customers and who provide companies with new customers. This paper has a greater goal of persuading the Angolan manufacturing industries to implement the Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) into their production and management processes.","PeriodicalId":224295,"journal":{"name":"Technologia i Automatyzacja Montażu","volume":"69 8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130061639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research was also aimed at verifying whether it is possible to assess the load capacity of adhesive joints on the basis of the surface roughness parameters after shot peening. The treatment variants were developed according to the matrix of the Hartley's PS/DS-P:Ha3 plan. Shot peening time varied from 60 to 180 s, ball diameter from 0.5 to 1.5 mm and compressed air pressure from 0.3 to 0.5 MPa. As a result of the analysis of the correlation between the load capacity of connections and the surface roughness, it can be concluded that the greatest relationship exists between the load capacity and the Rku parameter. The regression analysis shows that the load capacity of the connections should increase along with the increase of the Rku parameter. The study also showed that the Rku parameter is also most strongly associated with the deflection of the Almen strips. The Almen strip deflection increases with the increase of the Rku parameter. The regression equation describing the influence of shot peening parameters on the value of the Rku parameter indicates that the value of the Rku parameter increases with the increase of the treatment time and the decrease of the ball diameter and the compressed air pressure.","PeriodicalId":224295,"journal":{"name":"Technologia i Automatyzacja Montażu","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133031267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
