The author came to the conclusion that the main causes of modern inflation in our country are non-monetary factors, and therefore the fight against it through the use of the traditional instrument of monetary regulation - raising the key interest rate of the Central Bank, is ineffective. At the same time, the article notes that high interest rates play a negative role, as they limit the ability of the banking system to participate fully in financing the country's economic development. To eliminate this limitation, the author proposes to use lower rates, especially when the Bank of Russia refinances commercial banks that lend to industrial enterprises, the creation and development of which is provided for by government programs.","PeriodicalId":224259,"journal":{"name":"Analytical papers of the Institute of Europe RAS","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122186514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In 10 months of 2022, the growing import dependence of the EU on the USA and China was registered. Russia is holding its ground due to a sharp rise of its exports’ value. Because of agricultural imports, foreign trade cooperation of the EU with Ukraine strengthens. The economies of the EU member states are still to overcome the consequences of the pandemic. At the same time, the EU trade deficit has significantly increased since the end of 2021. In the medium term, the European Single market will remain under the mounting pressure from more profitable economic locations.","PeriodicalId":224259,"journal":{"name":"Analytical papers of the Institute of Europe RAS","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116638385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such a mission could prevent the negative consequences of Afghan crisis from spreading to the states of Central Asia and ensure the peaceful transition of Afghanistan to stability and post conflict reconstruction. The growing US-China confrontation direct impacts the relations between the EU and PRC, contributing to the adoption by Brussels of tighter control over investments in strategic sectors of economy. EU member states have to adapt their bilateral relations with China to these new developments. Formed in February 2021, the new Italian government of M. Draghi over the past eight months has nearly completed the reversal in relations with Beijing, questioning not only the memorandum of understanding signed in March 2019, but also tightening the mechanisms of control over investments coming from China.","PeriodicalId":224259,"journal":{"name":"Analytical papers of the Institute of Europe RAS","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114175010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
