The AACs will work in partnership with state, regional, and community agencies to coordinate a response that promotes the safety and well-being of all individuals. To provide these services, the AACs will facilitate multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) within local communities, implementing a forensic protocol that optimizes the possibility that perpetrators will be prosecuted. The AACs plan to build 10 centers throughout the state of Ohio and create a mobile MDT that will travel to crime victims who are unable to visit a center. An exploration into this unique approach to victim services will assist participants in understanding best practices for survivors. This paper provides a greater understanding of the various needs of crime victims with disabilities and how the AACs’ unique design and collaborative efforts will ensure equal accessibility to necessary investigative, prosecutorial, and treatment services when there are allegations of abuse and neglect. While it is absolutely important for everyone to have a voice, it is also important to teach others how to listen. People with disabilities who have been victims of abuse or neglect deserve to have their needs met in a holistic manner and remain at the center of the investigation and treatment plan.","PeriodicalId":223540,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences in the 21st Century","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128351318","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Given the demographic aging of the population, social exclusion is a topical issue that can take various kinds and forms (spatial; economic; cultural, social and political exclusion and symbolic exclusion). The authors will focus on the interest of seniors in politics, elections and social life of seniors. This is often limited due to several factors related to social background and its shrinking or due to the impaired physical condition of the target group of 65+ seniors, where live in their home environment. It is not common for seniors to make new social contacts in a targeted way, so public social events are important for seniors. They can serve as a space for targeted meetings of seniors or as an opportunity to meet people from the locality and make acquaintances. Involvement in public life is primarily a personal choice where seniors can attend social events for the sake of interest, but primarily larger social events are refused (unless it is a local event) and their interest is directed more towards events aimed at the elderly. In particular, the associations are very stimulating, but in places the need for such events is reflected and supported by the municipal administration. The contribution was supported from the project „Social exclusion of seniors 65+ living in the home environment in the CZ“, no.LTC18066, Ministry of Education (CZ), INTER-EXCELLENCE program, INTER-COST sub-program.","PeriodicalId":223540,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences in the 21st Century","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123093394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To demontrate this, the acts of synodes (known as Acta Synodalia) from 3 th to 6 th will be put under examination. From the lecture of the synodical acts it becomes clear that Satan was hardly ever the main object of christian atention, nevertheless bishops gathered on synods were aware of his existence and malignous actions. In the synodical acts the archenemy of the faithful is mentioned under many names: i.a. Satanas, Diabolus, Antichristus, Daemon, superbiae inventor et princeps (inventor and leader of pride), humanae salutis et veritatis inimicus (the enemy of human salvation and truth), but there are only few explicit statements about his personality. Mostly Satan and other demonic beings are mentioned as those who were responsible for inspiring humans to commit sins like adultery or suicide. Devil himself was also considered as the main fount of heresies and schism within the church. He introduced unrest and turmoil to the community of faithful. For many Christians the evil actions of Antichrist were a clear sign that the world was coming to its end.","PeriodicalId":223540,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences in the 21st Century","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116519079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Performing a fixed effects model, the results indicate that from the whole sample, only interest and unemployment rate affect poverty while inflation does not. However, individualistic country characteristics suggest that poverty is deep-rooted more on the ability of the population to access funds from either employment income or financial markets than on prices of goods and services effects. This implies different policies be implemented to reduce poverty based on the level of income distribution and country structural income classification status as a low, middle or high income country. Conclusively, intervening policies implemented to reduce poverty yield the same results whether a country is a positive or negative poverty reduction economy, meaning this classification does not matter for policy targeting purposes, rather determinant macroeconomic factors do.","PeriodicalId":223540,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences in the 21st Century","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128067261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This phenomenon is considered the beginning of individual and repetitive penance in the Catholic Church. Earlier, many authors thought that there was only one possibility to forgive sins committed after baptism (baptism was the first penance, the second was possible only once after baptism and often lasted for the rest of life). Penance Books included penances imposed on Christians for committed sins. They were like penitential tariffs. The type of penance depended on various circumstances, including who the sinner was (status, occupation, age, etc.). The diversity of penance was shown when discussing individual sins or was left to the confessor to decide. Sometimes the differences in the amount or type of penance were very large depending on who committed the sin. The presentation aims to show how the variety of penance imposed looked depending on the situation of the person who committed the sin, on the example of a few selected sins. The source for presenting the topic will be Irish and British penitential books.","PeriodicalId":223540,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences in the 21st Century","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130337063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author notes that this influence has several kinds beginning from clash of cultures, fighting to modernization and development of cultures, but as she emphasizes, generally there is a tendency to an unknown concept according to which common values should rule and dominate all over the world. It means that national states have to realize these values in their interior and inferior policy. In her opinion the process of globalization is equivalent to the process of westernization as today globalization is being realized around western values, which can destruct traditions, and spiritual values of eastern countries, including Tajikistan. That is why on this basis the problem of protecting national identity, which is closely connected with the national mentality, is being activated in many societies.","PeriodicalId":223540,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences in the 21st Century","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121039712","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With as many as 197 endangered languages among its 600 plus tongues spoken, India tops the list. Further, among the worst hit are the tribal languages. In a country that boasts of linguistic and cultural diversity, language attrition of this scale is arguably a major democratic setback, if not failure. With the death of a language, we lose the life force of a community -its secret practices, future interpretation of extant literature, environmental knowledge, ancestral world views, and cultural heritage. Alarmed by the UNESCO’s 2010 revelation about the country’s threatened voices, the Govt. of India has put in place the Scheme for Protection and Preservation of Endangered Languages of India (SPPEL) in 2013 for the revitalization of endangered languages and for a reverse language shift (RLS). The Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), a research and teaching institute of Govt. of India, is overseeing the implementation of the SPPEL (http://www.sppel.org). Under the scheme, Central Universities have been entrusted with the documentation of 500 vulnerable languages that are spoken by less than 10, 000 people each, called “potentially endangered” language by the UNESCO. While critiquing the strategies adopted by SPPEL and allied agencies towards language revitalization (LR) on grounds of pragmatics, this paper argues that the active involvement of an endangered speech community is indispensable in any long-term effort towards preservation and promotion of its language as any LR programme, to be truly successful, requires the convergence of both ‘top down’ and ‘bottomup’ approaches and practices, lamentably absent in India. Besides identifying the gap areas in the existing LR strategies, this paper also discusses a conceptual framework namely PPP model that can be designed and implemented by governments or public agencies/institutions, and private stakeholders for the protection, preservation, and promotion of endangered languages in India.","PeriodicalId":223540,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences in the 21st Century","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126855366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An innovative organizational culture is both flexible and has an internal atmosphere that can speed up information exchange and respond to new opportunities quickly (Urbancova, 2013). Enterprises need an innovation-friendly atmosphere that inspires creativity and promotes modernization (Li & Zheng, 2014; Tsai, Horng, Liu, & Hu, 2015). Also, they should be aware of how to build an innovative corporate culture and what factors affect a trustworthy and creative atmosphere. One of the most relevant sources of innovation is the cooperation between coworkers (Subramaniam and Youndt, 2005), through which their knowledge, expertise and ideas are accumulating to accomplish organizational goals (Edmondson and Lei, 2014). Besides cooperativity and team climate, leadership style seems to have a most critical influence on corporate innovation (Li & Zheng, 2014; Noruzy, Dalfard, Azhdari, Nazari-Shirkouhi, & Rezazadeh, 2013) both in private and public sectors. Our research is aimed to examine the interrelationship between perceived leadership style and team innovation potential: workplace social capital, team climate and psychological safety. We examined employees (N=354) from different Hungarian companies with an anonymous online questionnaire, measuring demographic variables, leadership-style (charismatic, ethical, transformational, authentic and transactionalist), workplace social capital (COPSOQ II, Kristensen et al., 2005; Berthelsen et al., 2016), psychological safety (Edmondson, 1999) and innovative actions of the company. Results demonstrate a psychosocial model behind innovation. They are primarily hill dwellers and are mostly located in the Southern part of Arunachal Pradesh and in the South-Eastern border areas of Assam. This study focuses on the prevalence and as well as the risk of hypertension among the adult Wanchos. In this paper, it is also intended to study the relationship of Basal Metabolic Rate with blood pressure, and if this relationship is dependent on body size. 318 adult Wanchos (177 males and 141 females) ranging from 20 to 60 years of age were measured for height, weight, BMR, skinfold measurements and blood pressure. Pearson’s correlation and coefficient test and linear regression analysis were used to establish any relationship between the proposed dependent and independent variables with other confounding variables. Data analysis was done in SPSS version 16.0. Considerably higher percentages of males (41.24% and 19.77%) were found to be in prehypertensive and hypertensive categories than females (31.91% and 14.18%). The variance among the three blood pressure categories between the adult male and female Wanchos was found to be statistically significant (x=7.0883 and p-value 0.028893) at 0.05 level. 16.38% of males and 10.64% of females were found to be at stage 1 hypertensive stage. Pearson's correlation coefficient test showed a significant correlation between BMR and BMI, BMR and BFP (body fat percentage), BMR and systolic blood pressure, and BMR and diastolic blood pressure. However, linear regression showed a very weak association between BMR and systolic blood pressure and BMR and diastolic blood pressure. Among the adult Wanchos, Basal Metabolic Rate was not found to be a significant predictor of the variability in their blood pressure, hence no association with the prevalence of hypertension among them. Elevated Basal Metabolic Rate among the Wanchos is not resulting in their elevated blood pressure as BMR is significantly correlated with their daily energy expenditure or metabolic equivalent (MET) per day. Basal Metabolic Rate is negatively associated with the MET per day, implying that as the intensity of physical activity increases among the adult Wanchos, their resting energy expenditure (or BMR) decreases.","PeriodicalId":223540,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences in the 21st Century","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129451063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
