The primary schools provide students with storytelling which promote their speaking ability. This research aims to portray the storytelling activity in the teaching of speaking that the teacher conducted involving primary school students and to find out the ways how the teacher sets up each of those activities. This study was conducted at one International Primary School in Bandung. The participants of this study were one teacher and the students at the primary 1 up to primary 4 consisting of 44 students. This study employed a case study design. Three instrumentations were used to gain data. The data were analyzed qualitatively in accordance with the two research questions. The validation of the data was conducted through triangulation. The findings revealed that the teacher applied storytelling in the teaching of speaking to the primary schools students (classes 1 up to 4). In conducting the classroom activities, the teacher has provided meaningful and purposeful activities which have followed the three dimensions of learning a target language. The activities to some extent were relevant to young learners learning characteristics and their constructed knowledge. Moreover, the research showed that the teacher organized the classroom activities through 1) teaching a class as a whole, 2) organizing group work and 3) organizing oral performance. The study was conducted in second semester of English Education Study Program in Faculty of Teachers Training and Educational Sciences, Pakuan University. The population of the study is the second semester of the English Department, Faculty of Teachers Training and Educational Sciences, Pakuan University. From the population, the sample of the study is two classes with 56 students. The method of the study is correlative study with the technique of data analysis multiple regression. The instruments used by the researcher are motivation questionnaire, portfolio project, questionnaire on students perception toward portfolio based assessment, and writing test. From the study, it can be concluded that the students learning motivation has significant positive relationship with the students writing ability. The second result is the positive relationship between portfolio based assessment and the students writing ability. The subject of the research was second grade students, as many as 37 people. The research is a classroom action research using the model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The process of data collection was by listening test. Another instrument used was a non-test instrument which was the observational result of teaching using contextual method such as the observational sheets of the teacher and the students, notes, and documentation. The research result shows that there is improvement in students listening skill, in the aspects of conceptual, procedural, and problem solving with contextual method. It is proven by the average score of listening test in the first cycle which 64.86; it improved in the second cycle reaching 97.29. Students assume that it is difficult since they have to memorize theories related to English pronunciation. To solve this problem, a team of lecturers agreed to apply a learning model called DRIM (dictating, reading, identifying, and modeling). The research was conducted within four cycles through Lesson Study program. The learning model consists of: 1) dictating, students listen to and write the sentences recited by the lecturer; 2) Reading, the students are given a text containing words with diphthongs. Those steps are done before the lecturer explains the material on diphthongs to diagnose students ability to recognize diphthongs; 3) Identifying, the students are asked to identify the given text and find words containing diphthongs After the students have understood the diphthongs and known how to pronounce them, the last step is 4) modeling. In modeling step, the students are asked to recite some words containing diphthongs and have other students repeat. The research is conducted at Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program in 2014. The instruments used to collect the data are pretest and post-test and also non-test instruments which are questionnaire and observational guidance and the researcher himself. The data analysis approaches used are qualitative and quantitative. The analysis of qualitative data was done by comparing the students improvement between pre and post cycle based on the students writing. The quantitative data is used for supporting the qualitative data. The improvement of students ability can be seen from the process of learning. The process includes: students experience in reading, writing, speaking, and listening is directed to language activity so that it is able to improve the students ability to write poems. The improvement is seen from the average score of pretest which improved in the posttest. The research result shows that there is improvement of students ability to write poems. The pretest shows that students who are able to write poems are 46%. After being treated at the first cycle, there is improvement into 61% or adequate. At the second cycle, there was second treatment and the result shows that the improvement is significant which is 81%. The percentage of students improvement is 76% between the first and the second cycles. The research was conducted to 24 students of the fourth grade at SDN Cilendek Timur 2 Bogor. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research with the model Kemmis and Taggart which consists of four steps: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research was undergone in three cycles. The result research shows that there is improvement of the learning result on fraction. In the first cycle, the percentage of students getting the score of 70 or higher was 12.5%, in the second cycle, it reached 56.5%, and in the third cycle it was 92%. The students and teachers activities were in accordance with realistic approach reaching 92.5% at the end of the third cycle. Therefore, it can be inferred that the application of realistic approach is able to improve students learning outcome on fraction. Therefore, the learning process development is done using the technique of copy the master to the fifth semester students in the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program. The data gained was analyzed descriptively with qualitative approach. The learning outcome on expositoric descriptive shows good result (75.45 %). On impressionistic descriptive essay, the average score was 79.13 %. Besides that, the data showing that the students used imagining is 100 %. The percentage of imagining use from the strongest to the weakest is sight (100 %), Hearing (50%), sensing (50%), tester (65%), smelling (50%), it also shows the ability to write a description that has used strengthening language. Another thing is the consistence between the writing and the model chosen that are structured and relevant way. This learning outcome is correlated with the data gained from the questionnaires and interviews. Students positive response in the class shows that 100% of the students were interested, understood easily, motivated, promoted cooperation, responsible, and independent. The media used was interesting and the learning process was exciting. Besides that, 95.65% of the material is understandable and correlates with the evaluation. The worksheet is stimulating (91.30%). This research attempts to answer the following research questions: What are the factors affecting Sundanesse in learning English pronunciation? The participants of this study are 30 students who are still in the second semester in English Education Study Program, Pakuan University. The data were collected through documentation in a form of audio recording, and in-depth interview with six representative participants. It was done collaboratively within two cycles. The aim of the research is to describe the improvement of the fourth grade students achievement on the subjects of cultural art and craft making using the method of demonstration at SDN Sindangsari in the sub-district of Bogor Utara, Bogor, in the first semester, the academic year of 2013/2014. The subjects of the research were the teacher and the students of the fourth grade. There were 32 students consisting of 15 girls and 17 boys. The research result shows that the students completion at the first cycle was 53% or only 17 students completed the task given while at the second cycle, there were 25 students completed the task given or it was 78%. In addition, in the observation of the students activities, there was an improvement of students participation and attitudes from 53.4% whose category is fair at the first cycle to 73% whose category is good at the second cycle. Therefore, it can be inferred that the use of demonstration method is able to improve students achievement on the subjects of cultural art and craft making of the fourth grade students at SDN Sindangsari in the sub-district of Bogor Utara, Bogor.
