She has stated that the period 1700-1820 is the period of Netherlands (Holland), the period 1820-1890 is the period of England, the period 1890-2000 is the period of America and this 21st Century is the century of China and India. World Bank has also identified that India would be a one the leading players of this century after China and USA. India is the third largest economy in terms of Purchasing Power Parity with $7.277 trillion. India ($ 2. 936 trillion in nominal) will challenge the Global Economic Order in the next 15 years. India already overtook Italian economy ($ 2.078 trillion) this year (2019), and will overtake England economy ($ 3.002 trillion at present) in the year 2020, Japanese economy ($5.154 trillion, 2019) by 2025 and USA economy ($21. 239 trillion in 2019) in 2050. China with $14.140 trillion already overtook Japan economy and will overtake USA economy in 2024. India has the following advantages compared with other economies. India is 3th largest GDP in the world in terms of Purchasing Power Parity Criteria ($11.326 trillion in 2019). India is third fastest growing economy in the world after China and Vietnam. In this paper an attempt is made to bring out the major achievements and failures of economic reforms in India during the liberalisation period. It is mainly base on secondary information I read through government publications and reports and generally descriptive in nature. This paper has been divided into two sections (1) dealt with achievements of LPG policies and (2) dealt with the reasons for delay in achieving the proposed targets within the stipulated period.","PeriodicalId":221284,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT RESEARCH STUDIES","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124461125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The findings imply that although most customers are aware of e-banking services, their comprehension of the hazards involved is generally lacking. Security worries, like the possibility of fraud and identity theft, are primarily responsible for the perceived danger. The study also found that clients who are more aware of e-banking services tended to view risk as being lower. These findings have significant ramifications for banks and policymakers in terms of upgrading security measures and improving customer education to lower the perceived risk associated with e-banking services. In the current digital era, consumer awareness and perceptions of the risk associated with ebanking services have grown more crucial. Consumers can manage their accounts quickly and conveniently with the help of e-banking services, but some risks are involved. The present status of research on consumer awareness and perceived risk of e-banking services is summarised in this study","PeriodicalId":221284,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT RESEARCH STUDIES","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128628482","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The global slowdown and financial crisis bring uneven development. Adding to this, epidemics like COVID-2019 also pushed the world economies down by at least 0.04 percent with its cascading effects to come in the future. The trade positions in the EMDE regions were weak due to uncertainties and lower demand for commodities. The financial markets were in stress, investment has reduced, lower capital, low productivity, lesser business climate etc., in the EDMEs. The real GDP of EDMEs is expected to grow an average of 6.2 percent during 2017-21 and it is 0.3 percent lower than 2016 position. Advanced economies perform comparatively lower in the world output. The study aims to explore the impact of advertisement on consumer behaviour regarding HUL's soap products. The research methodology involved the collection of primary data through a questionnaire survey conducted among a sample of 150 respondents in Chennai The findings indicate that advertising significantly influences consumers' behaviour when purchasing HUL's soap products. The majority of respondents reported that they were aware of HUL's soap products primarily through advertising campaigns, and it played a significant role in their purchase decision. The results also suggest that advertising influences consumers' perceptions of HUL's soap products' quality and benefits, which ultimately impacts their purchase behaviour. Furthermore, the study found that advertising has a positive impact on consumers' brand loyalty towards HUL's soap products. Consumers who were exposed to HUL's advertising campaigns were more likely to repurchase the same brand than those who were not. The study also highlights the importance of targeted advertising in influencing consumer behaviour, with HUL's advertising campaigns effectively targeting specific demographics and promoting their products' unique benefits. In conclusion, advertising plays a crucial role in shaping consumer behaviour regarding HUL's soap products. It helps create brand awareness, influence perceptions, and foster brand loyalty, ultimately driving sales and revenue growth for the company. Therefore, HUL should continue investing in effective advertising campaigns to maintain and strengthen its position in the soap products market.","PeriodicalId":221284,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT RESEARCH STUDIES","volume":"143 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121962089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ageing of the population is one of the most important demographic factors that have emerged in the 21st Century. Old age is the closing period of the life span. It is a period when people ‘move away’ from previous more desirable periods or times of ‘usefulness’. Old age homes are a boon to those who do not enjoy the support of their children or have nobody to take care of them. At least old age homes provide them shelter, food and company. But definitely, nothing can compensate for living with affectionate children and grandchildren. The objectives of the present study are as follows: i) to understand the socio-economic conditions of inmates of old age homes in the study area, ii) to find out the living conditions of inmates of the old age homes in the study area and iii) to understand the reasons behind the joining of the respondents in old age homes in the study area. This study is based on primary data. The data were collected from Madurai District. There are 30 registered old age homes in Madurai district. From each home, 10 respondents have been selected by adopting a systematic sampling technique. The researcher has selected 300 respondents for this study. Average, Simple Percentage, Weighted Arithmetic Mean and factor analysis are used to analyze the collected data.","PeriodicalId":221284,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT RESEARCH STUDIES","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116539390","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
