It is a common trigger for cardiovascular diseases, as well as a range of cancers and other disabilities. Approximately half of the regular smokers will eventually be killed by their smoking habit, with many of these deaths occurring in the middle ages. As long as it causes premature death, tobacco consumption greatly reduces the quality of life, affecting family, friends and colleagues as well as smokers themselves. The current study included 30 Iraqi smokers in three different groups (cigarette smokers, arghila (hookah) smokers and former smokers) (age range= 19-53 years). The cases were selected from family, friends, college students and coffee shops the costumers, from November 2015 to March 2016. Ten healthy, non-smoker males of matched age were also included as a control group throughout this study. A careful history was obtained from each volunteer including age, smoking duration, type of smoking (cigarettes, arghila, or former), and family history of diseases (such as diabetes mellitus and thyroid disease). In the sera of the groups under study, some biochemical parameters such as (AST, ALT, ALP, creatinine, and urea) were estimated. The results showed significant differences (p˂0.05) in the studied parameters in: (cigarette and arghila smokers), and (former smokers) groups, when compared to the control group.

Generally speaking, an interneuron is a specialized type of neuron whose primary role is to form a connection between other types of neurons. The basic aim of the study is identifi\u0002cation of genes regulating GABAergic cortical interneu\u0002ron maturation. Fast GABAergic responses are mediat\u0002ed by GABAA receptors, chloride-permeable pentameric channels composed of an assembly of subunits from eight classes of subunits (α1–6, β1–3, γ1–3, δ, e, θ, π, and ρ1–3). Although receptor composition differs across neuronal subtypes, subunits most often assemble with a 2α:2β:γ stoichiometry. It is estimated that there are over 20 different subtypes of GABAergic interneurons in the cortex, and subtypes are also distinguished from one another based upon the calcium-binding proteins they express, which serve as markers. It is concluded that there is an extensively studied transcriptional net\u0002work that plays a role in regulating proper development and specification of MGE-derived GABAergic cortical interneurons.

This article aims to look at the role of media, including mass media and social media, in creating people's perception of the risk brought by the virus Covid-19. This paper also discusses the differing impacts of media on risk perceptions from personal and social levels. There are 400 respondents involved, which were taken through an online survey, using Survey Monkey Application. The study uses online questionnaires and the data collected were analysed using SPSS version 27. Specifically, this article contemplates answering two important hypotheses: (1) Gender has a significant effect on risk perceptions, and (2) Media exposure has a stronger effect on social risk perception than on personal risk perception. The results showed that media have a positive role in shaping the perception of the risk of Covid-19 among the respondents. The study outcomes suggest that media exposure has a more substantial effect on social risk perceptions than personal risk perceptions.

This research paper presents the design and implementation of an IoT based project that is capable of recording the user’s vitals such as Heart rate, SpO2 and Temperature, all of which serve as important indicators of the novel coronavirus. Once recorded, the sensors then send the data over to the Arduino UNO microcontroller which in turn pushes it to private cloud server using a Wi-Fi module wherein the data can be used for various analysis and visualizations such as scatterplot, histograms and so on. A website then shows the entries made using the microcontroller along with the latest COVID-19 statistics and WHO guidelines that have been provided. The results at the prototype stage look really promising and provide a foundation for the project to be scaled upon on a larger scale since the project helps us to curb the virus by introducing viable monitoring methods which can serve as replacements to the traditional and more expensive alternatives.

Scientists are working to unravel the genetic makeup of corona virus i.e., the causative agent of CoViD-19 in order to find treatments for the infection. Until now, even medicine and vaccine have been formulated in order to help cure the disease. The primary objective of this article is to identify and analyse the published articles in the areas of complementary herbal plant application for antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties, ways to enhanced immunity, and to cure infectious symptoms. One of the paramount options including the use of herb-based medicinal derivatives have been proposed to cure infections with the positive outcome. Most of the established traditional medicinal systems like Traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda have recommended a list of several potent herbal and essential oils that ease the symptoms of infections by their regular massaging on the scalp. The use of nitrogen can affect the sustainability of breeding traits. This study aims to further investigate the effect of giving variations in nitrogen concentration (KNO3) to the genetic diversity of the Cibotium barometz plantet produced from in vitro culture. Buds were collected and cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium with different nitrogen concentrations (KNO3) for in vitro culture formation. In this study, RAPD analysis was applied to identify 4 Cibotium Barometz planlets. Five RAPD primers were prepared for this analysis. Our results indicate that the DNA band pattern polymorphism produced from 5 RAPD primers shows very high diversity up to 100%. The results of the analysis of the RAPD band pattern clustering using the UPGMA method on the similarity coefficient of 0.68 and the analysis of the main components were able to be clearly distinguished into 3 groups.
