Data on cloud contains all kinds of personal and professional information, and cloud communication opens the doors to interceptions wherein secret information can be extracted by undesirable people with an intention of malicious usage to any extent. Hence certain measures can be taken in order to ensure the security of data on cloud, so that communications cannot be intercepted and if they are then it is difficult to crack the code. Steganography and encryption combined enhance cloud security by providing dual layer protection to the data, as steganography aims at hiding the existence of the data itself and encryption prevents the correct interpretation of the data. We have taken into consideration RSA algorithm for encryption and image steganography for data hiding using LSB technique.","PeriodicalId":220344,"journal":{"name":"2016 1st India International Conference on Information Processing (IICIP)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128740193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the rising influence of mobile device accessibility, the Earth is going wireless. The users of the mobile devices are dependent on the native or third party applications to perform their routine activities such as banking, shopping, navigation, reservations, online payments. While the apps have improved the lifestyles of the users, many of the end-users are incognizant about the data that the applications collect from their devices. The data accumulated by the applications may range from photos to videos, emails to remainders, and contacts to locations [1]. In this report, we investigate the relationship between the sensitive data attributes which are gathered up from the various mobile applications and demonstrate the relationship of this data with the Geo-location. In addition, we discuss about the Personally Identifiable Information(PII) such as person's name, birth-date, age, gender, address, area zip code, phone number and also the behavioral information for example medical information, online posts, username, employment details and friends list along with the geo-location in the dynamic application analysis. The paper also presents and discuss the information on data sharing by mobile apps with third party domain/s.","PeriodicalId":220344,"journal":{"name":"2016 1st India International Conference on Information Processing (IICIP)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130684646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a methodology to study and classify the image de-noising filters such as Median filter, Adaptive filter, Averaging filter, Un-sharp masking filter and Gaussian filter is used to remove the additive noises present in the MRI images i.e. Gaussian, Salt & pepper noise and speckle noise. The de-noising performance of all the considered strategies is compared using PSNR and MSE. A novel idea is proposed for successful identification of the brain tumor using normalized histogram and segmentation using K-means clustering algorithm. Efficient classification of the MRIs is done using Naïve Bayes Classifier and Support Vector Machine (SVM) so as to provide accurate prediction and classification.","PeriodicalId":220344,"journal":{"name":"2016 1st India International Conference on Information Processing (IICIP)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114784664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes a technique of feature extraction of iris images, which uses 2-D Gabor filter with four orientations. XOR and SUM operations on the real and imaginary output for each orientation result into a number which is further encoded into bits to give the feature vector. Experiments show that XOR-SUM Code is providing increased recognition accuracy (i.e. GAR) as compared to another feature extraction technique DCT. An object in an image gets attention only if human eye attracts towards it. The brain relies on attention to detect salient part of an Image and filter out background details. The salient object detection problem is formulated as segmentation of Image to separate salient object from background. The proposed method is based on the feature used to measure human perception. The proposed method works in two steps, firstly the probable salient region is extracted based on human perception, then the color distribution is used to extract salient object. The efficiency and accuracy of proposed work measured on a standard database (MSRA).","PeriodicalId":220344,"journal":{"name":"2016 1st India International Conference on Information Processing (IICIP)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121149556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, an image super-resolution algorithm is proposed in which Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is used to generate different frequency sub-bands of the image and Stationary wavelet transform (SWT) overcomes the issue of lack of translation invariance of DWT so it is used here with DWT. To preserve more edge information Canny Edge extraction operator has been applied to the input image and subbands are interpolated using Lanczos interpolation. The high-frequency sub bands and the input image are passed through Non-Local Mean (NLM) filter to reduce the artifacts generated by DWT. Different orthogonal and bi-orthogonal filters have been applied to this algorithm and different quality parameters such as PSNR, MSE, RMSE, SSIM and Correlation coefficient are calculated. It is found that db2 wavelet is showing better results.","PeriodicalId":220344,"journal":{"name":"2016 1st India International Conference on Information Processing (IICIP)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121780770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The significance of detecting such forgeries comes to light, given the rise of such malpractices. Now we will see a approach using ASIFT which is planned to expose regions which have been copied and then pasted in another region to either duplicate information or hide critical details. Special importance has been given to forgeries involving affine transformations as they are rather onerous to detect. Copy-Move forgery apprehension using this approach gives better results as compared to detection using SIFT. Extensive testing on images with significant affine transformations justifies this.","PeriodicalId":220344,"journal":{"name":"2016 1st India International Conference on Information Processing (IICIP)","volume":"148 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124141309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
