As a result, the Rugby-shaped society has become a theoretical goal of social transformation and a general social consensus. The feasibility of localized social groupings exhibiting a Rugby-shaped structure is not necessarily adequately replicable under the condition of closer global social linkages, and the occupation-based social class structure is not always hyper-stable. The more multidimensional Rubik’s cube society contains both uncertainty and hyper-stability, and the proposed Rugby-shaped society for China should take into account the more complex influencing factors in the systemic global social structure of a Rubik’s cube society. Non-occupational factors may also increase the risk of social instability.","PeriodicalId":219027,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Anthropology","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116254498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is not because of the unclear land property rights or unsound transfer system, but because of the fact that the land is not simply an economic factor. Peasants allow for unforeseen circumstances for their family economies and decide their willingness of land transfer according to the local social habits. Instead of hindering land transfer, the local social relations and cultural networks are conducive to reducing transaction costs, resolving social conflicts, maintaining the dynamic stability of land management rights and promoting the smooth operation of land transfer market. The rational utilization of social culture can facilitate and stabilize land transfer, which will contribute to the implementation of the national goal of achieving a connection between smallholders and modern agriculture as well as accelerate the development of agricultural economy.","PeriodicalId":219027,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Anthropology","volume":"149 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124164430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Following the history of development of economic anthropology and using the theories on rural economics, political economics and cultural economics, this paper has analyzed the logics of social ecology , political economics and historical culture of the Chinese rural revitalization strategy. And it has responded to the economic anthropology question of “what is the possibility beyond capitalism” with reference to the logic of China’s socialist system. Thus, it provides rich theoretical dialogues and logical arguments for the practice of the rural revitalization strategy. At the same time, the practice of rural revitalization in China also can provide others with Chinese experiences and expressions for economic anthropology, which will expand and enrich the theoretical dimensions and depths of economic anthropology itself.","PeriodicalId":219027,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Anthropology","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127876792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The decrease in cattle is a representation of the crisis of the present farming cultural landscape. The replacement of cattle farming by tractor farming has greatly reduced the landscape value of terraces. The continuous growth of economic rationality does not necessarily lead to an all-round development of the society, and social governance aiming at improving the well-being of people in heritage sites has become indispensable. As the state is the main body responsible for declaring a world cultural heritage and protecting it, in order to realize its value fully and let its universal value be recognized by mankind, the relevant state departments should assume the responsibility of improving the quality of life of local people in an institutionalized manner.","PeriodicalId":219027,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Anthropology","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123648058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The “umbrella” relationship between government and business operators is not only a major social substructure but also an important method of resource allocation. This relationship has existed for a very long time. In ancient times, the three most important business management systems in China (government-run business, contractor-run business and private business) were all more or less under government control. In view of different levels of government participation in different operating systems, the government implemented corresponding protection policies for these business operators. In general, the government provided “paternal protection” for official businesses, “relative protection” for contracted businesses, and “friendly protection” for private businesses. This kind of differential protection had a profound impact on the pattern of business development in ancient China.","PeriodicalId":219027,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Anthropology","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132305421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is an interesting academic topic for scholars to portray the ways in which these time-honored enterprises have achieved tradition-modernization transformation via the internet technology. This paper, by taking Daoxiangcun Group as a case study, makes an anthropological fieldwork research and analyzes the changes in the management of Daoxiangcun Group at four levels: network society as the macro structure, the baking industry as the meso structure, the company’s organizational structure and business processes as the micro structure. It is found that the tradition-modernization reforms reflect the pattern of “from outside to inside” to “from inside to outside”, and the pattern of \"from top to bottom” to “from bottom to top”.","PeriodicalId":219027,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Business Anthropology","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125391832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
