This paper aims to study the factors that affect the reliability of the power grid. This paper proposes a simplified reliability evaluation index based on the capacity-to-load ratio. Then, a power grid reliability model based on system dynamics is established, and a causal cycle diagram and a system stack flow chart are given. After that, this paper uses VENSIM to simulate a given model in different situations. Finally, the relationship between reliability index and demand response resource penetration rate, reliability index and transmission and distribution price is given. Therefore, the calculation model of earth potential distribution was established based on complex soil structure in this paper Firstly, the traction power supply model of urban rail transit was established, and the analytical expression of stray current distribution was derived. Then, based on the numerical distribution results of metro stray current, the complex soil structure was established by finite element simulation software, and the soil potential calculation was realized. The simulation results showed that the soil structure has absolute influence on the change of earth potential distribution caused by metro stray current. With the greater the difference in soil resistivity of different layers, the influence on the soil potential is more obvious. The calculation of soil potential distribution caused by metro stray current can be realized, which has certain guiding significance for the evaluation of transformer DC bias.","PeriodicalId":216155,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123156559","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a dynamic economic dispatch method based on deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) algorithm is designed to minimize total operation cost of multi-period economic dispatch. The model for multi-period economic dispatch considering demand response is firstly established. To transform it into a reinforcement learning problem, the model is then reconstructed as a sequential decision-making process, with state, action and reward defined accordingly. A modified DDPG algorithm is introduced to solve the decision-making problem. Finally, case study based on a modified IEEE 14-bus system validates that the proposed method can obtain a satisfactory dispatch schedule which can approximate the effect of optimization solvers near real-time with robustness.","PeriodicalId":216155,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126453245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The penetration rate of distributed generations (DGs) is gradually increasing for the benefits of the economy and flexibility. Appropriate grid-connection schemes of DGs can reduce system operational costs and decrease carbon emissions. To optimize the grid-connection schemes with DGs, a locating and sizing algorithm of DGs in distribution networks for Low-carbon operation is proposed. First, the optimal models of a distribution system for low- carbon operation are constructed based on the carbon emission flow theory, and the security and stability constraints of the system. Then, the chaotic-particle warm is applied in the optimal models to determine the optimal grid-connection schemes of DGs. Finally, the IEEE 33-bus distribution system is modeled on the CloudPSS platform to test and verify the optimization algorithm. The test results show that the algorithm is effective and useful.","PeriodicalId":216155,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121067730","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By measuring the scale of renewable energy excess consumption, we can get the scale of renewable energy excess consumption of each subject in the province. Then, aiming at the optimal benefit of market participants and combining with network constraints, a two-level optimization model of inter-provincial transaction-inter-provincial transactions is constructed. The construction of this model gives priority to ensuring that the main body of each province and region completes the weight target of absorbing responsibility, and at the same time provides a market-oriented incentive mechanism for the regions with stronger absorbing capacity, which promotes the preferential use of new energy in a wider range from the mechanism. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism is effective and feasible.","PeriodicalId":216155,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121156819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Boosting the production of renewable electricity, such as wind power production, is a key measure to develop a low-carbon power system. A method for optimizing inter-regional power transmission flow with large-scale wind integration under low-carbon economy has been proposed, which takes the minimization of the overall cost as the objective function. With the CO2 emission cost arising from power generation of the entire system, the method proposed can better optimize the power flow for inter-regional transmission with large-scale wind integration. Then the proposed method was applied to an analytic study of power flow optimization between two provincial grids with large-scale wind integration in China for a certain year. The optimization result showed the method proposed is rational and the carbon emission will have a significant impact on the overall operation cost and power flow optimization.","PeriodicalId":216155,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Power System Technology (POWERCON)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121612902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
