For correct modeling of the process of destruction of a blackened layer of soil by a jet of water, it is required to set the pressure of the jet on the soil surface to destroy its structure and inhibit weed vegetation. (Research purpose) The research purpose is determining the effect of the water jet on the pressure created on the soil surface to suppress weeds. (Materials and methods) Obtained data for the study using a developed stand for detecting the force of the jet, which consists of a weighing platform with a container for samples of blackened soil. We used a high-pressure device with a maximum pressure of 140 megapascals, a maximum flow rate of 360 liters per hour. The studies were carried out under the following operating modes: the nozzle of the “Turbo cutter” at a height of 3, 5, 10 centimeters from the soil surface, for each height an angle of inclination of 0.45 degrees to the normal of the soil surface was considered; a nozzle with a flat jet at a height of 3, 5, 10 centimeters from the soil surface, for each height, an angle of inclination of 0.45 degrees to the normal of the soil surface was considered; a nozzle with the proposed design of a flat jet in a turbo cutter at a height of 3, 5, 10 centimeters from the soil surface, for each height, an angle of inclination of 0.45 degrees to the surface normal was considered soil. (Results and discussion) The dependence of the pressure of the water jet on the soil surface on the height of the nozzle location for all considered types of nozzles and operating modes was obtained. Large values of intentional (planned) outages (up to 13.6 hours) and the number of intentional outages (from 5.2 to 13.8 years–1 per 100 km) show the urgency of finding solutions to reduce them. One of the solutions in this case may be the joint use of partitioning and redundancy tools, monitoring and mobile energy platforms. Currently, this issue has not been fully investigated. (Research purpose) The research purpose is justifying the joint use of partitioning tools and mobile energy platforms for reserving electricity supply to rural consumers. (Materials and methods) Used data from a literature review on the values of the time of interruptions in power supply during emergency and planned outages in 0.4 kilovolt electrical networks, monitoring tools, partitioning and reserving power supply to rural consumers. The method of situational modeling was applied to identify the features of the joint use of partitioning tools and mobile energy platforms for reserving electricity supply to rural consumers. (Results and discussion) We performed situational modeling of reserving power supply to consumers using mobile power platforms without localization and with localization of sections of power lines by means of partitioning and redundancy, which showed the relevance of the method of sharing means of partitioning, monitoring and mobile power platforms for reserving power supply to rural consumers. The use of composites to impart new properties to polymers complicates the implementation of technologies for the production of products from them, which prevents the improvement of product quality. This is due to the lack of an accumulated database and methods of predictive determination of the obtained properties of composite materials and polymers produced with the use of secondary raw materials. (Research purpose) The research purpose is testing the methodology of automated determination of electrophysical parameters of polymer and composite thermoplastic materials. (Materials and methods) A resonant method of monitoring the electrophysical parameters necessary for an energy-efficient method of high-frequency electrothermal heating of polymers has been substantiated. We selected and modified with the installation of an automated monitoring and data collection system cumeter with a working chamber from a standard cell, retrofitted with a heating system and thermal insulation. (Results and discussion) The results of the use of an automated process of control and determination of electrophysical parameters of polymer and composite materials based on polypropylene, polyethylene with a composite of titanium dioxide were presented. The method of establishing analytical dependencies for calculating the correction coefficient when calculating the effect of thermal insulation material (dielectric cardboard) and air gap in the working capacitor on the even electrophysical parameters of the polymer and composite under study was shown. (Conclusions) The possibility of conducting automated studies to determine the dielectric properties of polymer and composite materials using the developed automated control system for the process of control, transmission, processing, visualization and storage of information about the dielectric properties of ε, ε», tgδ polymer and composite materials was substantiated. Based on modern requirements for the quality of electricity and reliability of power supply to agricultural consumers, there is a need to modernize existing and create a new generation of rural electric grid. One of the variants of such grid is a resonant power transmission system. (Research purpose) The research object is a physical and mathematical model of a resonant system, taking into account a wide selection of the necessary physical parameters for the transfer function, the research purpose is determining the parameters of the resonant system. (Materials and methods) Used Mathematica version 4.2.0.0. It was established that all physical parameters can be set in accordance with the experiment. (Results and discussion) A new type of electrical systems for electric power transmission with the use of a resonant method of electric power transmission was considered. A mathematical model of a high-frequency line based on a single-wire line with a return through the ground was given. (Conclusions) We investigated the general principle of operation, the main components, and also calculated electrical characteristics, including power, frequency response, efficiency, features of operation, including wireless communication. The calculation results were compared with the existing equipment with a transmission power of up to 8000 watts. It was shown that on the basis of the obtained equations, it is possible to correctly select the parameters of the resonant power transmission line and voltage converters. (Research purpose) To determine the main technical conditions for connecting integrated measuring modules to the milk hose of the milking system. (Materials and methods) For the research purposes, an experimental stand was created based on the widespread milking system “Herringbone”. The milk-air mixture flows in the milk hose of the experimental stand with incomplete and uneven filling, which corresponds to the actual farm milking process. For upgrading the milking system, it is necessary to use integrated measuring modules with a 14-millimeter internal diameter. (Results and discussion) In the experimental stand, the technical feasibility of the integrated measuring module was studied in terms of its connecting to three specific sections of the milk hose. The calculations were made to obtain the length of the milk hose between the collector and the milk meter sufficient to connect integrated measuring modules, and to ensure the hose itself has an extended section in a vertical position. An integrated measuring module was successfully connected to the hose with a two-clamp fixation. Filling the manufactured part with oil is problematic in the automating the control of the filled state. The filling process is applicable for polymer or composite bearing separators of agricultural machines (forage harvesters, cotton harvesters, grape harvesters and others) in order to increase their service life in conditions of a large amount of dust and dirt, as well as in cases of dry start. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in developing a methodology for automated filling control of structural polymers and composites used in agricultural machinery with antifriction materials. (Materials and methods) The article presents designed and produced experimental installation and field tests. The developed sensor placement scheme allows performing experimental studies on measuring the volumetric body temperature of a polymer or composite sample during the impregnation process online. The differentiation of the obtained results, presented in graphical form, makes it possible to quickly analyze the dynamics of temperature changes in the thickness of the material. (Results and discussion) The article presents the optimal proportion of a mixture of hexane and M-8B engine oil and the most favorable temperature conditions. It was confirmed the possibility of using this technique in the technology of oil filling of antifriction products made of polymer and composite materials. (Conclusions) The technique makes it possible to identify the filled state of manufactured polymer or composite parts used in friction units of agricultural machines without the introduction of thermal sensors. The need to develop this device is due to the economic inexpediency of using foreign analogues due to the low level of maintainability for domestic production, high maintenance costs, a narrow list of operations, and the lack of adaptation systems for a wide range of crops. (Research Purpose) The research purpose is in developing an autonomous robotic device for differentiated application of agrochemical agents in order to minimize their consumption, increase economic efficiency and environmental safety. (Materials and methods) The article presents the analyse of existing studies on monitoring of agricultural crops and fertilization and the requirements for the design of an autonomous robotic installation being created. There were conducted laboratory tests of a field robot model. (Results and discussion) The article describes a design of an autonomous field robot for differentiated application of agrochemicals designed for farms engaged in the crop sector. This device will allow performing a wide range of work, ranging from plant condition diagnostics to yield forecasting, reducing the proportion of human labour costs, improving environmental cleanliness and economic efficiency. It has been taken into account the features of the operation of the robotic vehicle in the field, the possibility of quick replacement of batteries, autonomy. During the design, the scope of robot application was expanded by installing additional actuators without replacing the control unit of the working body. The problem of increasing the durability and operability of the working bodies of tillage machines remains relevant. In particular, this is reflected in the reduced resource of serial tillage working bodies. (Research purpose) The research purpose is to ensure the increased durability and efficiency of agricultural machines. (Materials and methods) The downtime of agricultural machinery due to the failure of tillage working bodies negatively affect the efficiency of agricultural operations and entail up to 15-20 percent reduction in subsequent yields. The cost of purchasing and reinstalling spare parts is up to 18 percent in the structure of the cost of agricultural products. The most technological method of plasma-powder surfacing (hardening) has been used, which is up to two times more productive and 2.2-2.7 times more economical in comparison with the known technology of plasma surfacing in argon medium. The most high-strength (σВ at least 1600 megapascals) steels of the type 25XGTYUR, 30XGSA, 27XGR were selected for the manufacture of the developed tillage working bodies. (Results and discussion) Parts made of high-quality materials according to the created technology are not inferior in resource and wear resistance to the best foreign surfaced analogues, and non-melted imported products are 1.5-1.7 times superior. New materials and technological surfacing methods for strengthening domestic and import-substituting working bodies of agricultural machines allow, in terms of resource and operational indicators, to achieve a level of competitiveness with leading foreign manufacturers. (Research purpose) The research purpose is to substantiate the indicators for evaluating the efficiency of cooling systems of functional units used on automotive equipment. (Materials and methods) The introduction of surfactants with a fluorocarbon radical into the engine oil leads to an improvement in the operational characteristics of the functional units of machinery and power plants (power, specific fuel consumption and others), which is due to a decrease in hydrodynamic friction. (Results and discussion) When adding an antifriction additive to the engine oil, there is an increase in engine power and torque by 2.5-3.0 percent; reduction of specific fuel consumption by up to 6.9 percent, hourly fuel consumption by 3-4 percent; reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, improvement of fuel efficiency in the urban cycle by 2.6 percent, in rural by 2.8 percent, in mixed by 2.7 percent, reduction of acceleration time in the speed range of 80-130 kilometers per hour by 2.8 percent. (Conclusions) The organization of cooling processes of working units and heat carriers of their systems should be carried out taking into account the mutual influence of these components. This approach allows for the reconstruction of cooling systems both at the final stages of design and during operation. For the functioning of auxiliary cooling systems and the improvement of heat exchange, a detailed study and analysis of the operational processes of agricultural machinery are necessary. Another necessary and obligatory condition is the use of modern methods of feed preparation with the use of highly efficient technical means. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the developed technical means should be carried out not by one indicator, but by a set of specific indicators combined into a complex criterion, taking into account the importance of all selected private indicators. (Research purpose) The research purpose is selecting the most important specific indicators for a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the root crops cutter based on the analysis of scientific papers and the functioning of technical means used for the cutting of root crops for cattle feed. (Materials and methods) The methodological basis for the selection of indicators for a comprehensive effectiveness of the cutter was the effectiveness theory of the technical means. The initial material for determining the specific indicators of an efficiency assessment was their technical characteristics and quality indicators of the technological operation. (Results and discussion) Based on the analysis of research work and production experience, two key groups of indicators were identified for the effectiveness assessment of the cutter. They are the power for cutting – Nизм, labor costs per unit of cutted products – Зт, capacity of the cutter – Wч, operating time for failure – t0, time spent on the elimination of technological malfunctions – tтехнол, specific labor cost of maintenance tуд.ТО, level of juice loss Пс. It was proposed to determine the relative importance of each specific indicator by the method of expert evaluation. (Conclusions) Indicators for a comprehensive assessment of the efficiency of the use of root crop shredders are economic and quality.
