Krzysztof Koehler’s List do PIThe article attempts to analyse the poem List do PI The letter to PI, one of the most representative of Krzysztof Koehler’s poetry. In the poem aquote from Horace’s Letter to the Pisos is treated as acrucial component of the lyrical subject creation. The lyrical “I” is both an Amfion’s creator and an ironist who changes the sense of each word during his “comic journey”. It must, however, be borne in mind that on the global level the ironisation of the lyrical world is only that what Linda Hutcheon called an “authorized transgression”. Essential for the Koelher’s parody is the reconstruction of the language.","PeriodicalId":215377,"journal":{"name":"Prace Literackie","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126932292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In author’s opinion these poems are not created by humans only, but just an „uncreative” effect of the poetic collaboration between the web browser, data bases, searching indexes and, last but not least, the users. Within the context of the theory of versification and some other intellectual backgrounds I try to show how these different agencies work together to create an unique poems based on peoples searchings, metadata and how words typed in the window of the browser become a poem-in-verses.","PeriodicalId":215377,"journal":{"name":"Prace Literackie","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133245902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As part of apreliminary investigation of Enlightenment writings from agender perspective, the author discusses two poems presenting very different views on literary oeuvres of women.The analysed texts constitute acontribution to the discussion about the place of women’s poetry in the deeply patriarchal society of eighteenth-century Poland. Anna Chreptowicz’s piece shows that awoman, in addition to being a wife and amother — an image firmly rooted in the Church and society — is also capable of writing poetry. She also stands up to the patriarchal moral system of her time, asystem that favoured male superiority and domination, as is expressed in the piece by her opponent in the discussion, Andrzej Chreptowicz.Both eighteenth-century texts presented here demonstrate that in such apatriarchal society, in which writers were predominantly men, there was nevertheless room for poetry written by women, who sought to the change the perception of the world, hitherto seen only from the perspective of patriarchal domination. Anna Chreptowicz’s poem is one of the first attempts in Poland to oppose such patriarchal views.","PeriodicalId":215377,"journal":{"name":"Prace Literackie","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128610397","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the most talented writers of this time was Ann Radcliffe. She created the novel by combining the Gothic romance with the novel of sensibility. Radcliffe in her works formed two contrasting groups of heroes: honest and virtuous, and hypocritical and cruel people. With the diversity of character stemmed variety of preferred pastimes. In this article I discuss excerpts from novel The Mysteries of Udolpho, which describe ways of spending free time by the main characters and I show their relationship with the works of the philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau.","PeriodicalId":215377,"journal":{"name":"Prace Literackie","volume":"33 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131495863","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The architectural image of the eighteenth-century city that emerges from the poem shows the problems of Polish realities that urgently needed reforms. During this time, outside the capital, which grew fast, the cities of Poland were mired in poverty. There were many, but existed on the verge of collapse, were often deserted, standing in the ruins. In Western Europe city life was cultural and economically prosperous, and town`s people lived in well-being. The poem from Jasinski’s hand shows Polish reality subjected to criticism, which formed the basis of his political program based on the Enlightenment slogans of social reform and rationalism.","PeriodicalId":215377,"journal":{"name":"Prace Literackie","volume":"56 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134033867","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
