Treatment options include surgery for symptomatic or enlarging tumors, with alternative approaches like embolization or ablation considered in certain cases. Prognosis is generally good with appropriate management, including rare instances of spontaneous regression, especially in postmenopausal women. The infection almost always starts in the umbilical cord. Diagnosis is clinical. Treatment is two-pronged: etiological (specific immunoglobulins, antibiotic therapy, anti-tetanus vaccination and treatment of the portal of entry) and symptomatic (sedatives and muscle relaxants, curarization). Prevention is the only effective option, and relies on vaccination of mothers during pregnancy and health education of the population. Multiple failures of rigid and/or flexible bronchoscopy are likely to be a cause of morbidity and mortality. To the best of our knowledge, we report a first experience in DRC, of right middle lobectomy on metallic foreign body by VATS in a 14-year-old girl after two years of accidental inhalation of a metallic key, in the face of two bronchoscopy failures. A partial transverse bronchotomy successfully performed under VATS allowed extraction of the foreign body followed by bronchial reconstruction with resection of the right middle lung lobe. Early recognition and appropriate management are crucial to prevent complications and improve patient outcomes. This condition often presents with cyclic abdominal pain, swelling, and a palpable mass, mimicking other abdominal pathologies. Diagnosis is challenging and requires a high index of suspicion, especially in women of reproductive age with a history of pelvic endometriosis. Imaging studies such as ultrasound and MRI can aid in diagnosis, but definitive diagnosis is made through histopathological examination of excised tissue. Treatment options include surgical excision of the lesion with clear margins to alleviate symptoms and prevent recurrence. Multidisciplinary collaboration between gynecologists and general surgeons is essential for optimal management of abdominal wall endometriosis cases. This pathology involves spontaneous rupture of the quadriceps et patellar tendons in both knees without a history of recent trauma. Non-traumatic tendon ruptures, particularly bilateral cases, are uncommon and may be associated with underlying systemic or metabolic conditions such as diabetes or renal failure, which can contribute to tendon fragility. Management typically involves surgical repair of the ruptured tendons followed by intensive rehabilitation to restore knee function and strength. Depending on the characteristics of the defect, various reconstruction methods are commonly performed. A pedicled perforator flap stands as a valuable option providing reliable coverage of the defect while preserving the vascularity. Case report: A 35-year-old male presented with a post traumatic wrist soft tissue defect with exposure of underlying structures. Surgical debridement was performed, and the resulting defect was reconstructed with a distally-based radial artery pedicled perforator flap. Postoperative recovery was uncomplicated. Conclusion: Radial artery perforator flap proved to be a workhorse flap for soft tissue reconstruction of the wrist.
