{"title":"[Schizophrenia and systems therapy].","authors":"G Guntern","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><p>The notion of Systems Therapy subsumes two different although closely interrelated issues. On the one hand Systems Therapy implies a systemic Eco-Anthropology based upon Systems Science, i.e., a Systems Theory of man in and with his environment. On the other hand Systems Therapy is a theory and a practice of the therapeutic transformation of human systems, based upon a systemic Eco-Anthropology. Three basic concepts of Systems Therapy are presented here: the concept of the organism as a system, the concept of the eco-system, and the concept of the transactional field with its basic organization and its corresponding transactional patterns. These concepts are illustrated by many examples taken from case histories of schizophrenic patients and systems. The status quo of the scientific epistemic process in the field of schizophrenia is evaluated from the perspective of Systems Therapy in 1983. With rare exceptions English notions are not translated into German in order to avoid terminological errors and lack of precision.</p>","PeriodicalId":21430,"journal":{"name":"Schweizer Archiv fur Neurologie, Neurochirurgie und Psychiatrie = Archives suisses de neurologie, neurochirurgie et de psychiatrie","volume":"135 1","pages":"41-71"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1984-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"17542139","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main interest was put on examining the dimensionality of each inventory separately and all the inventories combined. The results are discussed with respect to the practical applicability. FPI and GT proved as two polyvalently applicable personality inventories (clinically as well as non-clinically) whose factorial structure is essentially verified. It was justified to eliminate \"N\" (neuroticism) from the PND in the newly revised version. Although \"P\" (paranoid) covers only a particular domain of paranoid tendencies the new test version (PD and PD') will be valuable in clinical use for group differentiation (a.o. for global diagnoses of depression and schizophrenia) in longitudinal as well as cross-sectional studies. The HHM covers mood state variables additionally, little differentiated though. The newer parallel forms suffer from the same deficiency. It could be confirmed that the BBI measures a particular mood-drive dimension and thus can be used independently or in combination with multidimensional personality inventories in longitudinal studies.</p>","PeriodicalId":21430,"journal":{"name":"Schweizer Archiv fur Neurologie, Neurochirurgie und Psychiatrie = Archives suisses de neurologie, neurochirurgie et de psychiatrie","volume":"134 1","pages":"131-42"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1984-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"17764135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
