The main etiology are the bacterial agents that colonize with higher prevalence the mitral and aortic valves. The dog has a sudden heart murmur, intermittent claudications, lack of appetite, depression and temperatures. This study aims to determine the productive performance of Brahman bullocks crossbred with romosinuano and black-ear white races. The research was devel-oped in the farm San Miguel, located in the town Paratebueno (Cundinamarca). A group of contemporary Brahman, Brahman x romosinuano and Brahman x black-ear white bullocks was evaluated after living together in Brachiaria sp . pastures under continuous herding for one year. The weight gain, production and forage quality Temperature, relative humidity and rainfall were also measured and the temperature-humidity index was also determined. A fully random design was used herein including descriptive statistics and analysis of variance. Infostat ® software was used to that end. Differences were found in the weight gains between the race groups during the highest rainfall season (p = 0.013); it was higher in the Brahman x romosinuano group. During the lowest rainfall season (p = 0.002) the Brahman x black-ear white group showed a lower performance. Likewise, differences were observed in the forage production (p = 0.0017) and in the nutritional quality of the pastures, with the best forage during highest rainfall season. Throughout this study, the temperature-humidity index was above 82, which indicates that the animals were under caloric stress condition. Under the agricul-tural-ecological conditions in the study area, the Brahman x romosinuano crossbreeding is an alternative to improve the meat production systems in the Eastern Plains Foothills.","PeriodicalId":21407,"journal":{"name":"Revue De Medecine Veterinaire","volume":"7 1","pages":"15-16"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80511659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

En Chile existen muy pocos estudios en medicina veterinaria, y se utilizan muchas veces los parámetros humanos. Por esto, la investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar y evaluar la sensibilidad antibiótica de la microbiota bacteriana, potencialmente causal de IN. Se realizó un estudio de corte transversal a 20 objetos en una clínica veterinaria durante el mes de junio del año 2012. Se evidenció desarrollo bacteriano en el 85 % de los elementos muestreados. Se logró aislar cepas de Staphylococcus epidermidis (50 %), Acinetobacter spp. (15 %), Enterococcus faecalis (15 %), Escherichia coli (10 %), Proteus mirabilis (5 %) y Bacillus subtilis (5 %). This research intended to describe the epidemiological behavior of these events during 2012-2016 in the Casanare Province (Colombia). It is a retrospective descriptive study based on the cases reported to the National Surveillance System for Public Health Sivigila . The study variables are: a) socio-demographics; b) aggression/contact; c) exposure; d) immunization; and e) treatment. Application of descriptive statistics and calculation of surveillance indicators: Data were analyzed using the statistical software Epithe cases in Casanare were distributed as follows: 2012 (1229; 20.4%), 2013 (1180;19.5%), 2014 (1227; 20.3%); 2015 (1153;19.1%), 2016 (1247; 20.7%). Out of them 72.5% were in the urban area; 55.4% were male subjects; average age was 24.3 (± 20.7) being the lowest age 0.01 and the highest 97 years and 40.7% were in the 5-19-year range; 37.5% were students, 13.3% housewives, 5.4% minors, and 19.4% had reported occupation (to wit, 29.8% (349/1172) farmers; 1.5% hospital patients; all of them alive). The 80.6% (721/894) with mild exposure were appropriately treated, 4.3% (37/894) were administered anti-rabies serum. The 91.1% (653/717) with serious exposure were appropriately treated. The 26.7% (1611/6036) of the cases were exposed to the rabies virus. Incidence per each 100,000 inhabitants exposed to the rabies was as follows: 2012-2016, 344.8 cases; hospitalization rate 11.5/100,000. It was found a non-compliance with the appropriate treatment indicator, i.e., the cases rated as mild exposure required administering only five doses of rabies vaccine (full vaccine scheme), and the cases rated as serious exposure required administering the full vaccine scheme plus the anti-rabies serum. It is recommended to keep/maintain the event surveillance activities as well as the efforts to prevent the human rabies transmission.","PeriodicalId":21407,"journal":{"name":"Revue De Medecine Veterinaire","volume":"39 1","pages":"11-28"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80796461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
