It contributes about 42.29% of total regional fisheries production. Recently, supply and demand of raw material for fish chips processing business is completely dependent on the catch from the rivers. Ironically the capture fishery production for featherback tends to decline, which absolutely affecting on production volume and selling expense of the fish products. No commercial aquaculture supports this business, so far. Data on capture fishery, fish processing business and fish farming were tabulated and analyzed using descriptive method. There was a great market opportunity for featherback chips in this area of study, where the demand of fish chips (36 tons/year) was six times higher than the supply to the market (6 tons/year). The average annual profit received by the producer was USD 897. The Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C) were USD 2,796, 137%, and 4.59 with the Payback Period (PP) value was 8 months 15 days, indicating business was considered feasible and profitable, as well as has the favorable prospect. To increase the values, the culture business should be promoted. An attempt was made by Freshwater Fish Culture Center Mandiangin to culture them; however, the result are still being challenged to overcome this problem. The Covid-19 outbreak not only created a health emergency but also have the impact on the global economic sector, including marine and fisheries sector. The impact is felt, among others, the price of fish dropped dramatically by 50% due to reduced market demand due to lack of buyers. Fish distribution has also experienced obstacles due to this policy. Anisakis sp. is typically observed encapsulated in the outer wall of the stomach and caecum of infected squids, whereas Lappetascaris sp. is found at the anterior end of the mantle musculature. To investigate the infection process, third-stage larvae of these two anisakid species were labelled by injecting a mixture of 5% fluorescein isothiocyanate-dextran and 5% biotin-dextran into their caudal end. The labelled larvae were placed inside the muscle tissue of dead prey fish which were then fed to freely swimming squids held within a large aquarium. Several days later, the squids were removed, killed and dissected to observe the characteristics of infection by fluorescing anisakids. Anisakis sp. larvae were found infecting the outer walls of the stomach and caecum, but no Lappetascaris infections were observed. Squids held inside custom-made plastic packs containing free anisakid larvae were not infected with Anisakis sp. but Lappetascaris sp. larvae were found attached to the gills. It also provides 19.50% of protein and 2.27% of lipid [6], whilecarbohydrate to lipid ratio (CHO: L) of 2.29 performed the best for growth performance, feed and proteinutilization and whole body composition [7]. This species inhabiting all freshwater bodies such as swamps, rivers, wetlands, canals, and reservoirs [8,9,10], and can be cultured at cages, tanks, nylon hapas, ponds and brackish water [11,12,13] with different culture management systems[14,15,16]. It is categorized by theInternational Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (ICUN) as avulnerable species.Habitat modification, destructive fishing practices, and polluted habitats may potentially threat this species [17,18,19]. They were fed two different diets, the one with probiotics containing Pediococcus acidilactici (CNCM MA 18/5M) and the other one without probiotics. All groups gained weight, however observed growth rate and weight gain have been considerably lower when fish over passed the 200g size class. No significant differences were shown between the two groups kept in lower temperatures in terms of growth rate, weight gain, feed conversion and protein utilization. Trout kept in natural temperature conditions fed either with probiotics or without probiotics, did not differ dramatically in between them in terms of growth rate and weight gain. However the ones fed with probiotics have experienced better feed conversion and protein utilization. Fish which have received dietary probiotics had lower serum cortisol levels and better Na+ and Cl- serum equilibrium than those which have not received probiotics, indicating that probiotics increased the stress resistance of experimental fish, even after the oxygen depletion test. The results show that significant positive correlation between morphometric attributes and body weight, and all the correlation coefficients reach extremely significant level (P<0.01). The path analysis reveal that X2 display the highest positive direct effect (0.373) to body weight, and follow by X7 and X3. X10 affect body weight indirectly by X2, X3 and X7. The analysis results of determination coefficients show that the total decision coefficient of four morphological attributes to body weight is find to be 0.852, and indicating those morphological attributes are the main factor to body weight.
