Multiple real-world datasets usually contain drops/gaps in the data due to various reasons. The currently known approaches are highly efficient only in those cases when original datasets do not change their volumes during the analysis. However, up-to-date problems mostly deal with sequential online data processing. On the other hand, there is no prior knowledge on which feature vectors contain overlooks. In this manuscript, the challenge of possibilistic and probabilistic online clustering approaches for processing incomplete data is solved through similarity measures of a specific kind which are capable of either loosening outliers’ influence or repressing them.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116602286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The comparison of the characteristics of the distance protection with the circular and polygonal tripping characteristics is conducted by means of numerical simulation. The use of PDM allows to reduce power losses in the SRI transistors and ensure their commutation modes close to optimal ones. However, PDM has some disadvantages of inrush current limiting under a start-up process. The paper proposes to use an interleaved PDM-based series-resonant converter, which has a modular structure, and there is a certain shift between control signals of converter channels. This allows reducing the duration of free oscillation interval and amplitude fluctuation of the load current. For a soft start-up process and to limit inrush current for such kind converters it is proposed to begin the start-up process with an initial combination of PDM. Experimental studies confirming the advantages of such type converter and its control to ensure soft start-up process and inrush current limiting are presented.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125203224","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Referring to ongoing debates about quality of life in cities, it introduces a systematic approach for performance evaluations of neighborhoods. The presented method suggests tools for constant information collection by way of qualitative surveys regarding georeferenced (local) subjective themes of citizens. Supported by a novel pattern logic, these tools can be flexibly adjusted through iterative steps. Adding to discourses on sentiment analysis, the paper also introduces a semi-automated method for the linguistic clustering of citizen statements.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123847687","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A numerical simulation is performed of the diffraction and scattering of a plane TE wave incident at a cylindrical stepwise uniform Luneburg lens containing six layers. A special treatment is performed for the resonance phenomena in the dielectric cylinder coated by a graphene layer. The exact classical solution is exploited for the multilayer boundary problem. For the case of a graphene coating of zero thickness, the resistive boundary conditions are applied with the conductivity of graphene introduced by Kubo equation. We show that the stratified Luneburg lens might be substituted by a uniform dielectric cylinder coated with a graphene layer operating at the plasmon resonance frequencies of graphene when it is necessary to reduce the cylinder radius to the size being equal to or even smaller than the wavelength of incident radiation.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129760958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To demonstrate the distinctive features of the domestic and foreign IT markets, a comparative rating of programming languages in the labor market in Ukraine and in other countries was made. A survey of IT students and experienced programmers was conducted as another factor of the study. Based on many years of the authors’ teaching experience and the result of analyzing the opinions of interviewed programmers, the requirements for the first programming language studied in universities by IT-students were determined. According to these requirements, a system of numerical evaluation of practical criteria for the first language programming selection among the most demanded ones was worked out. A total rating for each language was created in order to identify the most suitable programming language for teaching the beginners.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129586067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
