Within the project investigation on open source solutions has been conducted for obtaining results concerning actual use of agricultural land, as well as other lands, which are actually cultivated land outside the settlements. For this freely available high spatial resolution data from Sentinel-1 SAR and Sentinel-2 optical satellites have been preprocessed and used for detecting arable lands, land cover and crop type mapping in Kyiv, Mykolaiv and Lviv regions in 2018 based on different machine learning methods. In the result it was proven that Sentinel data and proposed methods could be use operationally for monitoring land cover and land use in region scale and it's foreseen that the experience of the project will be extended to the whole country in the upcoming years for achieving the goal of transparent land use.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134025771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We offer the technique of estimation of the wavelet filter parameters. Determination of the wavelet, level of the wavelet decomposition and value of the thresholding coefficient has been performed on the basis of the ratio of Shannon entropies which were calculated for both the allocated noise vector and filtered signal. The simulation process was carried out using acoustic emission (AE) signals which were generated during metal loading with the development of destruction from initial state to final distract with several phases.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"300 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116325559","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent trends to solve it are based on applying multi-temporal remote sensing in order to obtain reliable crop classification maps. If a radar remote sensing is used, speckle presence in the original data reduces a classification accuracy. A negative impact of speckle can be reduced by image prefiltering procedure. Recent studies carried out for Sentinel-1 imagery have shown that more efficient pre-filtering usually results in better classification. Thus, here we propose a modification of block matching three-dimensional (BM3D) filter adapted to the properties of Sentinel-1 radar data. We demonstrate that its use leads to improved classification of crops in agricultural region of Ukraine compared to earlier methods which are based on other filters. Additionally, a convolutional neural network approach for crop mapping is investigated in this paper for decreasing noise impact and is compared with a traditional pixel-based multi-layer perceptron.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"434 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123273055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It proves that polarization of the backscattered signal is not chaotic: it varies along some definite polarization trajectories. Polarization transfer functions depend considerably upon electro-physical properties of an object, but weakly depend on its shape. Consequently, they can be used as an indicator for the material the object is made of.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114987129","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The electromagnetic field of such a beam induces the polarization and surface currents on the wires that radiate into the host medium. The corresponding scattering problem is treated with the aid of the azimuth Fourier expansions in local coordinates of each wire and the addition theorems for the cylindrical functions. The final matrix equation, which has mathematically guaranteed convergence, is applied to obtain spectral characteristics of diffraction radiation and visualize the field patterns. Photonic molecule of dielectric nanowires is an optical open resonator; therefore, the diffraction radiation displays the peaks on its natural mode wavelengths. Some of them appear only if the beam trajectory is shifted from symmetric position. This effect can be useful in the design of optical-range beam position monitors.","PeriodicalId":211302,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 2nd Ukraine Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (UKRCON)","volume":"2003 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125824482","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
