In this study, we explain design and implementation of a semi-autonomous humanoid character display system that provides high cognitive impact on people. It combines marketing, entertainment, announcement, guidance and service sales on one singular device. As different from conventional automated teller machine (ATM) approach, interactive humanoid character (IHC) first detects the people around and targets starting the communication with them. A finite state machine model is used to determine type of possible requirement of the person in communication by navigating in pre-defined behavioral states due to interaction. Therefore, policing as the preventive congestion control is required for properly guaranteeing QoS. The leaky bucket control mechanism, which is the most widely and only implemented one, has some drawbacks. In this paper the principles of fuzzy logic are deployed to tackle the problem of congestion control. This paper implements the fuzzy logic based token bucket scheme in which token generation rate is controlled by Fuzzy Logic. This work studies how to implement token rate predicting and policing in a high speed (ATM) network using fuzzy token bucket. The fuzzy token rate predictor facilitates token rate predicting and dynamic policing. It is able to achieve lower delay, less cell loss and higher throughput by Fuzzy token bucket scheme. A simulation study was performed for the fuzzy logic predictor using MATLAB-Simulink Simulator. Transactional memory is a promising technology for dealing with both synchronization and data consistency issues. Rainbow OS, a distributed operating system for PC clusters, employs this concept in a distributed fashion providing a clusterwide transactional distributed memory (TDM). In the past Rainbow OS could only use a single processor in each cluster node. In our paper we present a lean way to integrate multiprocessor support into an uniprocessor TDM system, without sacrificing the programming model or other crucial design aspects. The whole system, including applications developed for the stress testing is based on Microsoft technology .NET. Our Stress Testing application allows testing a selected problem areas to find any limitations before the tested developing solution will be set up at customer. It does not rely on a base station to coordinate the flow of messages to nodes in the network. A primary challenge is for each device to maintain the information to properly route traffic and data packets. In this paper, we analyze the performance differences of Ad hoc On-demand Multi-path Distance Vector (AOMDV) and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) routing protocols. We evaluate their performance through simulation using network simulator (ns-2). Canny have proved to be quite efficient in detecting thin edges. This paper discusses the efficiency of these three techniques in the detection of the cortical outline of long tubular bone from radiographs images. The method involves the use of line profile histogram approximation (LPHA) algorithm to detect the outline positions. These positions are then used to calculate geometric measurements such as the internal diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD) and the cortical thickness (CT). The accuracy of these measurements are compared with its retrospective manual measurements which was measure using micro calipers by Dr. Lee Cheng Wai. Visually all three techniques performs reasonably well in detecting the bone cortical edge. However in the quantitative measurements, Canny perform quite well in certain cases but not in others. ALE is a de facto standard for HF radios through which communication is to be carried out by automatically selecting the channel. This article describes some of conclusions acquired in development of real biotelemetric system using off the shelf embedded hardware technology, namely ARM microcontrollers, FRAM memory and dedicated ZigBee chipsets. Described biotelemetric system is partitioned into logical parts that communicate using custom data protocols. Many types of blood pressure measurement devices can be bought in electronics shops. All such devices are contact measurement devices which need to be in contact of human body (hand or foot mainly). Secondary they allow only one measurement per several minutes interval (typically ones in 10 minutes). Our goal is to develop a small device for noninvasive continuous measurement of blood pressure. This device must be a small battery powered embedded system which measure a blood pressure during a long time period and send this information remotely to operator’s stations. We would like to try two systems of blood pressure monitoring. The first one is system with NIR CCD camera (Near Infra Red), which measure the wide changes of the blood vessels and the second one is system, which measure the pulse transmit time (PTT).
