The severity of the disease can be determined based on the clinical condition and several investigations. This inspection is expensive, so other alternatives are needed. One of the markers of inflammation is the Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) but until now it has not been used to detect the severity of knee OA. This study aims to determine the relationship between the degree of knee OA and NLR. The method: cross-sectional design with medical record data of 75 knee OA patients at Al Fauzan General Hospital, Jakarta. The result: the highest distribution of patients old aged (≥60) years was 53 people (70,7%), 58 women (77.3%), with mild OA degree 45 people (60%), duration of OA history 4 years 74 people (98, 7%) and the highest BMI is obesity, 53 people (70.7%). The NLR values (<2.1) for mild OA were 33 (71.7%) and NLR (>2.1) for severe OA were 17 (58.6%). The significance test with Chi-Square obtained a p-value of 0.018 (< 0.05) . Characteristic screening in the population needs to be done to prevent marriage among people with thalassemia minor and reduce the birth of babies with thalassemia mayor. Combining several simple tests such as MCV, Mentzer index and single tube osmotic fragility test can increase the effectiveness of the test for screening of thalassemia minor. The purpose of this study was to determine the sensitivity and specificity of each panel for MCV-Mentzer index, MCV-single tube osmotic fragility, and Mentzer index- single tube osmotic fragility test panel against HbA2 in screening for the thalassemia minor. This study is observational with cross-sectional study design. The study was conducted at the Clinical Pathology Laboratory of Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru in June-August 2020. There were 27 subjects who had MCV values <80 fl out of 230 screened subjects. Then on 27 research subjects were calculated for Mentzer index, single tube osmotic fragility test and HPLC. The research results show the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of the MCV-Mentzer index panel for screening of thalassemia minor were 11.8%, 90%, 66.7% and 37.5%, respectively. For the MCV-single tube osmotic fragility panel was, respectively, 70.6%, 20%, 60% and 28.6% and for the Mentzer index- single tube osmotic fragility panel was 11.8%, 90%, 66, 7% and 37.5% respectively. The conclusion is that the MCV-single tube osmotic fragility panel has better sensitivity than the MCV-Mentzer index panel or the Menzer index-single tube osmotic fragility panel that it can be used to screen for thalassemia minor in the premarital population in Pekanbaru. Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by the pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis, 80% of which are pulmonary TB and the rest are extra pulmonary. Patients with a history of TB become one of the risk factors for lung cancer due to chronic tissue damage. Tuberculosis can also present as tuberculoma which can mimic a lung tumor. We report the case of a 55-year-old patient with complaints of a lump on the back since 3 months ago and weight loss of ± 9 kg in 5 months. The chest X-ray and CT scan showed an impression of a lung tumor and a TTNA examination was performed with the results of inflammatory cell infiltration of lymphocytes, neutrophils and macrophages. Cytology examination from the lump on the back came with the result of a cold abscess. A frozen section-open biopsy was performed with macroscopic of caseating necrosis and histopathology results showed the presence of Langhans cells, typically tuberculosis. In addition, HbA1c levels are also known to have a correlation with further diabetes complications such as diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic neuropathy is the most common microvascular complication in diabetes mellitus, whose incidence is associated with disability and mortality rates in diabetic patients. This study aimed to assess the correlation between serum magnesium levels and HbA1c with the severity of diabetic neuropathy. This was a cross-sectional study. Severity of diabetic neuropathy is classified according to the Baba’s Diabetic Neuropathy Classification (BDC). All subjects were examined for serum magnesium and HbA1C levels. This study consisted of 46 diabetes mellitus subjects, with 69.6% of the subjects suffering from diabetic neuropathy. The average magnesium level in this study was 1.87 mg/dl ± 0.245 and the median HbA1c level was 8.6 %. There was no significant correlation between serum magnesium levels and HbA1c with the incidence and severity of diabetic neuropathy (p>0.05). The most vulnerable group to hepatitis B virus exposure is healthcare workers including clinical laboratory technicians. The best way to prevent hepatitis B infection is by getting vaccination. Therefore clinical laboratory technicians are among prioritized subject in getting hepatitis B vaccination. However, hepatitis B vaccination for healthcare workers is not an obligation yet. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge, attitude and practice of hepatitis B vaccination among clinical laboratory technicians at X Hospital of Riau Province. This descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out between October 2021 and January 2022. Overall, 38 clinical laboratory technicians were recruited for this study. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test is used to determine the relationship between knowledge with attitudes and practice. The results showed that 52.6% of respondents had good knowledge, 57.9% had a positive attitude and 68.4% had not been vaccinated against hepatitis B. Based on the results of bivariate analysis, there was no relationship between knowledge and attitude (p>0.05) or practice (p>0.05). Decreased social interaction and lack of social support, also the demands to get good grades have a negative impact on student's mental health levels, one of the mental health problems is anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the levels of physical activity and anxiety during the distance learning process in the Covid-19 pandemic era. This study used an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The respondents were 107 Bengkulu University college students, consecutive sampling technique. Assessment using the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale questionnaire. The relationship between variable was analyzed by the Gamma correlation test. The results showed that the most level of physical activity in the research subjects was in the low category (59,8%), with the most anxiety level being mild anxiety (47,7%). Based on statistical analysis obtained p = 0,000 and r = -0,499. This study shows that there is a significant relationship between the levels of physical activity and anxiety in Bengkulu University students during the distance learning process in the Covid-19 pandemic era with a moderate correlation.
