Zizioulas proponuje własną wizję relacji człowieka do stworzenia. Najpierw przedstawia antropologię teologiczną, na podstawie której buduje model człowieka jako kapłana stworzenia. Dokonuje reinterpretacji pierwotnego upadku człowieka i ukazuje, że otrzymał on pęd do absolutnej wolności nie dla siebie samego, lecz dla całego stworzenia. Nie ma ono w sobie naturalnych środków przetrwania i zostawione samo sobie będzie poddane śmierci. Jedyną drogą ratunku może być komunia stworzenia z wiecznym Bogiem, co wymaga jednak transcendencji poza ograniczenia stworzenia. Bycie osobą wymaga od człowieka, by obejmował w sobie całość stworzenia. Pęd ku wolności implikuje włączenie w jego działanie całego świata, a jeśli wszystko, co ucieleśnia się w nim, ma przetrwać, musi zostać odniesione ku Bogu. W przeciwnym przypadku osoba ludzka pozostanie tragiczna i niespełniona, a w końcu stworzenie stanie się przedmiotem naturalnej śmiertelności. Idea człowieka, jako kapłana stworzenia, nadaje ekologii wymiaru kulturowego w najgłębszym znaczeniu, który oznacza wzniesienie świata nawet ku wieczności, a sens ekologii ulega głębokiej przemianie i oznacza respektowanie natury nie z powodu obawy przed jej zniszczeniem, lecz ze względu na miłość do niej. Kryzys ekologiczny jest kryzysem kultury i związany jest z zagubieniem sakralności natury. Tylko podejście chrześcijańskie może zapewnić stworzeniu przetrwanie poprzez włączenie go dzięki człowiekowi – jako kapłanowi stworzenia – w komunię z Bogiem.","PeriodicalId":206836,"journal":{"name":"Roczniki Teologiczne","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121838256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A Journey Through Biblical Anthropology (Paragraphs 185-195) in the Context of Ecumenical Dialogues on the Human Person","authors":"Hector Scerri","doi":"10.18290/rt22697.2","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18290/rt22697.2","url":null,"abstract":"The article seeks to present a general overview of the document What is Man? (Ps 8:5). An Itinerary of Biblical Anthropology, published by the Pontifical Biblical Commission in 2019. The author endeavours to identify any reactions from other Churches and Christian Traditions to the document. What kind of reception, if any, has there been from the Orthodox Church and from the Protestants? What can we conclude from a selection of known positions, prior to the 2019 document? The paper will focus on only one particular issue — homosexuality and same-sex unions — and present a comparative analysis with the aim of identifying areas of convergence, as well as areas of divergence, between different Churches on the theme.","PeriodicalId":206836,"journal":{"name":"Roczniki Teologiczne","volume":"356 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133633059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The central thesis argued for is that the interpenetration of the universalizing Christian culture and the particularizing cultures of indigenous peoples need not always breed tensions of values. As always, there are common entry points for harmonization which facilitates evangelization in view of those salvific fruits which `grace' always offers to `nature'. \u0000It can thus be clear from the above that my overall aim in this article is to show how the African cultural perspectives on the being of man shapes the reception of the Christian gospel about the human person as redeemed by Christ. To be sure, the key questions to which this article responds present themselves as follows: In what light does the Christian understanding of human person appeal to the African? In other words, what is the African perspective of the being of man and how does it influence the African's understanding of the Christian gospel of the redeemed humanity? Structurally, the article consists of three sections: First I shall present several entry points to the understanding of the human person, besides the chosen two perspectives — Christian and African — which we wish to harmonize. Next, I shall highlight the key principles which inform Christian anthropology on the one hand; as well as a few cultural generalities which are descriptive of a typical African anthropology. Finally, I try to present selected `anthropological' elements which highlight comparisons and divergences between Christianity and African cultures.","PeriodicalId":206836,"journal":{"name":"Roczniki Teologiczne","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115302582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People have always traveled from one country to another for political, economic, social, cultural, climatic or demographic reasons, and the story continues also today. The intention of this essay is not to analyze the migration of the Orthodox Romanians from a strictly historical or sociological perspective, because numerous scientific studies have already been written on this topic, but rather to understand their process of soul alienation. Therefore, after making a mention of the social and economic evolution of Western society by moving from one system of philosophical values to another, which practically marked its thinking and development, I will try to explain the versatility of the Romanian Orthodox in terms of their desire for material prosperity, by assuming the culture of the capitalist economy, with the risk of giving up even only apparently the values inherited by birth and Christian tradition.","PeriodicalId":206836,"journal":{"name":"Roczniki Teologiczne","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122290389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Punktem wyjścia dla refleksji nad teologicznym pośrednictwem zawsze pozostaje pośrednictwo Chrystusa. Niniejszy artykuł analizuje, jak funkcjonowało ono w myśli jednego z wielkich teologów protestanckich XX wieku, Paula Tillicha. Najpierw przedstawiona została jego koncepcja Logosu, właśnie jako pośrednika. Potem ukazana zostła Tillicha koncepcja Wcielenia, którą można przedstawić jako koncepcję kluczowego zapośredniczenia się Boga w świecie, a następnie Tillichowa ocena dogmatu chrystologicznego. Przeprowadzone analizy pozwolą spojrzeć z pewną świeżością na tak istotną ekumenicznie kwestię, jaką jest teologiczne pośrednictwo. Autentyczne pośrednictwo jest ostatecznie darem Boga, a nie produktem człowieka.","PeriodicalId":206836,"journal":{"name":"Roczniki Teologiczne","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127271998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
