Towards meeting these stiff requirements, cells of varying coverage (pico-/femto-/macro-cells) are being deployed, especially in densely populated urban areas. Considering the high availability of such equipment, as well as the low deployment and maintenance costs of WLAN networks, an ecosystem rich in heterogeneity may assist in extending the overall network capacity, thus enabling throughput-hungry services to be offered over contemporary networks. The solution that is considered in this paper is offloading macro-cell users to the available wireless networks in a geographical area, while meeting their demands for the downlink channel. We model our problem and present an applied framework that facilitates cross-technology offloading. Our solution is making use of Software Defined Networking, thus enabling the very rapid and low latency network switching. Vasic","doi":"10.1109/TELSKS.2017.8246285","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/TELSKS.2017.8246285","url":null,"abstract":"This paper contains a survey on iterative decoders of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes made of unreliable logic gates that are capable to provide lower probability of error, when compared to their perfectly reliable counterparts. We have recently shown that the error-floor performance of message-passing decoders can be improved, if randomness that exists in unreliable logic gates is incorporated into decoding deliberately, without any complexity cost. Furthermore, we have shown that controlling the level of unreliability enable us to exploit the stochastic resonance phenomenon, previously observed in theoretical physics, electronic and magnetic systems. In contrary to common belief, we have shown that for a narrow range of gate failure probability the overall decoding performance is dramatically increased. In this paper, we show that the effect of stochastic resonance is even more noticeable for the case of the gradient descent bit-flipping (GDBF) algorithm. This decoder combines the simplest iterative decoding algorithm with gradient descent optimization, making it an attractive solution for a variety of low complexity storage systems, or code-based cryptosystems. Namely, ergodic and outage capacity for wireless decode-and-forward networks is defined. Linking on the expression for outage probability, the expression for outage capacity is derived. Also, closed-form solution of ergodic capacity with admissible restriction on fading parameter being integer, is presented. Primary issue that should be worked on when designing such systems is the connection between timing and quality control. Suchlike systems function exclusively in accordance with static schedule of beforehand defined tasks. This paper introduces one solution which allows simpler check of order and duration of processes performed by automotive embedded devices, for the purpose of quick detection of problems with certain task, by comparing static schedule with the real duration of task execution and provides visual display of tasks. Improving quality and accuracy of automotive embedded systems leads to better real-time performances which was the main reason for finding out this solution. Time triggered systems in automotive are based on FlexRay protocol than functions on principle of event chains. In order to optimize suchlike system it is necessary to process data in the most efficient way and show possible oversights of the system. The paper shows how, on the bases of input data, comparison with recorded traffic or real time data was performed. Visual results show differences between static and real schedule of tasks.
