Patient was anxious to conceive after active married life of 4 years. Acharya Charaka has clearly described the Nidanas of Vandhyatwa i.e. Yonidosha, Mansika-Abhitapa, Shukra-Artavadosha, Ahara-Vihara Dosha, Akalyoga (Co-itus at improper time), Bala-Kshaya which causes delay in achieving conception in Sapraja women as well as in Apraja. The word Artava refers to ovum, menstrual blood and ovarian hormones. Artava vitiated by different Doshas i.e. Ashtartava dushti produces infertility. Ovulation is under the control of Vata. Act of ovulation is regulated by Vata especially Apana Vata. Basti cures all the diseases of Vata. Basti given in the patient regulates hypothalamo-Pituitary-Ovarian axis which result into normalization of ovarian cycle and menstrual cycle too. After completing two courses of Matra Basti (60 ml), improvement was noticed i.e. Ovulation study. The line of treatment was followed in this case was to treat aggravated Vata Dosha and vitiated Dhatu. The word “Syndrome” is used to describe PCOD because, it is a complex manifestation involving many factors and organs. It is characterized by reproductive, endocrine, metabolic and physiological features. The presence of polycystic ovaries is an important diagnostic criterion for PCOS. This syndrome can also be associated with metabolic issues including obesity, insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia. Recently, there has been an increase in inter-est in the field of PCOS research. It is categorized as a chronic disease with treatments that only address symptoms, the condition is terrifying to most because of its painful and uncomfortable side effects, ad-verse impact on fertility, and high risk of complications. PCOS in Ayurveda is correlated with Ar-tavakshaya. It needs early diagnosis and long-term management for avoiding long term complications. This article aims to provide a balanced review of the latest advances and current limitations in our knowledge about PCOS while also providing a few clear and simple principles, based on current evidence-based clini-cal guidelines, for the proper study of pathogenesis of PCOS, also by looking at the findings of modern medicine we are correlate here the exhibiting features of the disease with the dominate Dosha responsible for the disorder.","PeriodicalId":20643,"journal":{"name":"Proposed for presentation at the 2020 Virtual MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit held November 27 - December 4, 2020.","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91394082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The theory of Tridosha is unique to Ayurveda. The term Dosha in Sanskrit means the regulatory functional factors of the body. It is three Doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha are said to be responsible for maintenance of homeostasis in the body; and health is nothing but a state of equilibrium of these Tridosha. The Physiological function of Kapha are Sneha (unctuousness), Bandha (coherence), Sthiratwa (stability), Gaurava (heaviness), Balam (strength) etc. Kapha is five types and each type have its own functions. In human body a lot of proteins are presents in the form of glycoprotein and lipoprotein etc. their properties and functions are providing strength, immunity, flexibility, nutrition, lubrication as well as taste identification and helps in protecting and maintaining stability internal visceral organs. The COVID-19 pandemic is a major health crisis affecting several nations. Such widespread outbreaks are associated with adverse mental health consequences. Preliminary evidence suggests that symptoms of anxiety and depression (16-28%) and self- reported stress (8%) are common psychological reactions to the COVID-19 pandemic and may be associated with disturbed sleep. A number of individual and structural variables moderate this risk. In planning services for such population, both the needs of the concerned people and the necessary preventive guideline must be taken into account. The available literature has emerged from only a few of the affected countries and may not reflect the experience of persons living in other parts of the world. Fear and anxiety about a new disease and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, can make people feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. However, these actions are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Mental health is an important part of overall health and wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel and act. It may also affect how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices during an emergency. Mental health problems are a common response to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a need for more representative research from other affected countries, particularly in vulnerable populations.","PeriodicalId":20643,"journal":{"name":"Proposed for presentation at the 2020 Virtual MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit held November 27 - December 4, 2020.","volume":"24 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76881755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
