In this paper a novel substitutive Pan sharpening method using PCA and contourlet transform is proposed. The proposed method provides novel tradeoff solution between the spectral and spatial fidelity and preserves more detail spectral and spatial information. Also, new substitution based image fusion rules are proposed. Proposed method is applied on registered Panchromatic and Multispectral images and simulation results are compared using standard image fusion parameters. The simulation results of proposed method also compared with four different standard Pan sharpening methods available in literature. Application of instruments for show control and movie control has been discussed. Earlier and modern automation systems have been studied, reviewed and analyzed. Interactions between controller, equipments and supporting instruments using standard buses produce amazing audio visual effects. Safety and other prime design considerations have been revealed. Case study on PC control by Beckhoff with Flying by Foy has been discussed in detail. Study tells that advent of PC based control leads shows and movies full of astound effects. In this paper Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based sensorless rotor position estimation technique is presented to fulfill the requirement of the position feedback for the SRM. MATLAB simulink environment is used to design a neural network and to simulate the proposed sensorless method which shows satisfactory result. An idea is presented to reduce the number of neuron for mapping the magnetic characteristics of the neural network which can reduce the complexity and computation burden without much affecting the performance of the SRM. The damping functions of the UPFC with various alternative control signals are investigated on the basis of linearized Heffron Phillips model of SMIB equipped with UPFC. The performance of model predictive controller has been compared to that of a controller based on phase compensation technique and is found to be superior as it uses the optimized control inputs to bring stability to the plant. Most widely used IHS method preserves the spatial information but distorts the spectral information during fusion process. IHS method is also limited to the three bands. In this paper, the MS based difference with respect to its mean image is used to reconstruct the fused image. In this the mean of the MS band is replaced by the mean of the PAN image. In this way both spatial and spectral information are taken into account in the process of image fusion. We have considered actual dataset of IKONOS four band image for our experiment. A weapon system launching platform requires freedom of movement in seven axes. It has to move in four axes for levelling, vertical and horizontal axes for articulating the launching platform and up and down sliding of the launching structure or weapon article. All these movements are simulated using Electromechanical Servo Drive in a Simulator for training and experimental study purposes of the personnel involved in development and handling of weapons system launching platform. Electromechanical servo drive requires position feedback, velocity feedback and current feedback to move a system in desired direction in specified time following predefined motion profile. In this paper, Launcher Simulator with Electromechanical servo drive system is discussed. This paper discusses a project to design and develop a humanoid robotic arm which could reach a particular position defined by the specific set of co-ordinates, pick up the object and place it at the target location defined by another set of co-ordinates, in a well defined hemi-spherical 3D space. The developed prototype provides total 5 Degrees of freedom within the robotic arm. Micro servo motors are used as principle actuators. The arm is controlled by a computer thorough a simple user interface application developed in basic Rapid Application Development (RAD) software. The object position and destination co-ordinates are entered in the user-interface application and the object is grabbed using the gripper. In the first design, patches of the FSS are designed with 0° rotations to one another while in the second design; adjacent patches are at 90° rotations to one another. In the latter design due to symmetrical nature of the design; the FSS becomes totally polarization independent for 90° rotations about any vertical axis, perpendicular to the FSS plane and passing through its centre and the design also reveals reduced patch size of the FSS with multiband characteristics. The proposed designs have been investigated theoretically using ANSOFT® software. In comparison to the conventional square patch Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) without slot, this slotted square patch FSS with second design can provide reduction in resonant frequency resulting in size reduction up to 94%.
