Ontology mapping is an effective method to solve the problem of ontology heterogeneity and to realize the interoperation among semantic web applications which use different ontologies. Instances and structures are important factors to establish ontology mapping, however, existing ontology mapping methods combine the results of different strategies with weighted average and the weights are subjective. In this paper, the angle degree of approaching is proposed according to the principle of fuzzy mathematics and is applied to similarity measure. Similarity measure based-on approach degree expresses all the similarities between different factors with vectors respectively, and combines them. In the end, the experimental results show this method is more objective and can calculate the similarities more accurately than the other methods.","PeriodicalId":201883,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2007)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125946514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fuzzy control rules describe rudely the relation between input and output of controller. So Fuzzy controller is in essence a piecewise approximator. As a result, fuzzy control has two shortcomings in the process of controlling some practical complex systems. One is that control rules will increase exponentially with the increasing of the number of inputs, and the other one is that the precision of control system is not high. By analyzing thoroughly the essential relation between two input variables of the normal two-dimensional fuzzy controller, this paper proves that the essential relation is just universal combinatorial relation in universal logic. So the simple universal combinatorial operation can be used instead of complex fuzzy reasoning process. As a result, a flexible logic control method is proposed to realize the accurate control for complex system. Finally, the experimental result of single inverted-pendulum physical system has proved the correctness and effectiveness of the control method.","PeriodicalId":201883,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2007)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129489458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But, it is also very difficult for us because of lacking methodology and support. In the paper, active rule design is regarded as a whole process and identified to three steps: rule extraction, rule analysis, and rule update. Data mining technique is originally introduced into rule design by us to cope with the problems arisen in active semantic extraction, termination analysis of rules set, and rules update. Rule mining methods are adopted to extract active semantics, and the discovered rules are used to assist active rule specification. Data mining technique is integrated with the triggering graph to improve the accuracy of termination analysis. Finally, data mining technique is used to identify new semantics and determine which rules should be updated.","PeriodicalId":201883,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2007)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129696709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many research institutions spend a great deal of money, material, manpower and time but the results are still very superficial and immature. An effective approach to construct ontology is demanded urgently. For this purpose, we propose a new method, BBR (build by reuse) in this paper. With this method, you needn't formalize concept by experts every time. However the exactitude could be ensured. Class association rules (CARs) are interesting and frequent patterns derived from data through adapted Apriori algorithm. Using CARs to build the fuzzy rule base of fuzzy system can solve the curse of dimensionality problem effectively. Thus, a novel fuzzy system based on CARs is proposed in this paper. The process of how to build the fuzzy system and its whole execution are presented in detail. Furthermore, comparative experiments are also made to prove the effectiveness of the presented strategy.","PeriodicalId":201883,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2007)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129820374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents an improved method called Direct-Fined-Remove (DFR) algorithm to mine a database consisting of remove and direct steps. When pruning the candidates itemsets, the algorithm eliminate non-frequent subset of candidates in the remove steps. In the direct steps, the algorithm directly generates the frequent itemsets by computing and comparing the frequency of frequent k-itemsts with k in the meantime. The contributions include: (1) proposes an algorithm to raise the probability of obtaining information in scanning database and reduce the potential scale of itemsets. (2) successfully applies the proposed algorithm to the Teaching Evaluation System to determine characteristics of good teaching effect.
