Abstract

Building ontology is a craft rather than an engineering activity. Many research institutions spend a great deal of money, material, manpower and time but the results are still very superficial and immature. An effective approach to construct ontology is demanded urgently. For this purpose, we propose a new method, BBR (build by reuse) in this paper. With this method, you needn't formalize concept by experts every time. However the exactitude could be ensured. Furthermore, ontology built by this method covers conceptions of domain in maximum and has stronger extensibility.
