Despite the fact that numerous trial installations were started, neither of these two systems has obtained unqualified approval of the users. From percentages variations in base values of the parameters, one-at-a-time measures are taken to the construction of a graph that expresses the impact on the output caused by variations in the inputs. Two case studies are proposed, with simulated and experimental data, in which the proposed methods are applied and compared based on the values of the sensitivity indices for ranges of interest. Unfortunately following paper shows that not all regulation tools available for the transmission system operator (TSO) which are secured by the national grid code might be used during the island operation (respectively speed control mode of the power sources) for the same purpose of preventing frequency collapse. Under Frequency Load Shedding (ULFS) might cause an automatic disconnection of the working power station. This topic is demonstrated on an example system (city of Pilsen) on reality based input data. Changes of electrical parameters have been used for the cables characterization and comparison. The results of measurements proved a complex character of the dielectric phenomena, which consist of several independent processes with individual response to the temperature changes. In the paper a technique of dielectric measurements and analysis of their results was reviewed with emphasis on the range of very low frequencies. The paper is focused on the possibility of using monitoring leakage current through the external insulation of hv surge arresters as indicator of pollution. In the experiment the modified procedure for the preparation of the polluting layer was used. The leakage current on the surface of the external insulation of the hv surge arrester and the internal leakage current of the hv surge arrester was monitored. It was found, that the surface resistivity of a sample with polluting layer in wet conditions, decreased by almost two orders of magnitude. The experimental results show that monitoring of leakage current along the surface of the external insulation is a useful indicator of pollution. This article provides some theoretical and experimental principles which can be useful for all maintenance operations performed on high voltage switching devices and some simple methods applicable for assessing the status of all their contacts. Some of the aspects described here are applicable to other high voltage devices like insulators, surge-arresters etc. An original model based on fuzzy-logic algorithms is performed in order to determine the main elements and issues of the predictive maintenance. All these algorithms are integrated into powerful software tools for all types of high voltage equipment maintenance. It is a solution for areas with a minimum place to parking, especially in city center. Sometimes there are some APS which are equipped with charge station for E-vehicle. Respecting power consumption of APS and possible charging stations there should be a problem with supply whole facility via distribution network (in city center usually cable lines). Cable lines are usually tens of years old with a limited transmission capacity and very expensive and technologically demanding modernization. One of the possible solutions how supply APS equipped with charging station is an application of renewables together with storage devices. We introduce power supply system for APS based on renewables and storage devices with possibility to operate in off-grid mode in this paper. Description of monitoring system is also included.
