They allow the study of meson properties, like mass and decay width, at various density and temperature regimes. Up to now, in the Tubingen model for dilepton production, modification of meson properties in nuclear medium has been accounted for by allowing a density dependence of the mass (Brown-Rho scaling) together with an ad hoc dependence of the meson decay widths on the same variable. We use the extended vector meson dominance (eVMD) model to extract meson properties in nuclear matter by computing the in-medium meson spectral functions. Dilepton spectra for C+C at 1.0 and 2.0 AGeV are calculated and compared with previous results.","PeriodicalId":201208,"journal":{"name":"Acta Physica Hungarica A) Heavy Ion Physics","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123860724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While this domain is investigated by RHIC, LHC will be able to probe potential new strong interactions simultaneously: Finding the precise mechanism for electroweak symmetry breaking is one of the prime problems of physics. Intricately linked to this point is the question after the true nature or even the existence of the Higgs boson. Here, we present stronly interacting theories providing an explanation for the hierarchy problem and leading to a light composite Higgs boson, favoured by experimental data. Our variation of the standard model is consistent with precision data. We achieve this accordance by using technifermions in a higher representation of their gauge group. Anomaly conditions require at least one extra lepton family for some of the theories whereby they contain a natural dark matter candidate. We can accurately determine the masses of said leptons from experimental data.","PeriodicalId":201208,"journal":{"name":"Acta Physica Hungarica A) Heavy Ion Physics","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125417055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On that side stands the well studied Fischer-Kolmogorov-Petrovsky-Piscounov (FKPP) equation in its deterministic and stochastic (sFKPP) variants, respectively. On the side of QCD stand the JIMWLK equation, its recent extensions, and the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation. The key to extracting information on the solutions of the equation of motion in both fields is primarily the fact that both groups of equations describe the propagation into an unstable state. Unfortunately, the translation works mostly for the case of a fixed coupling constant only. Here, it is shown that, because the system is evolving away from an unstable fix point, it is possible to translate information from the fixed to the running coupling case. This is demonstrated for the saturation momentum in the regime of asymptotically high rapidities [1].","PeriodicalId":201208,"journal":{"name":"Acta Physica Hungarica A) Heavy Ion Physics","volume":"114 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114825317","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
