The input cross sections and resonance parameters of the model are fitted to the available nucleon-nucleon and pion-nucleon cross sections. One consequence of the chiral restoration is the mixing of parity partners. We look for a possible signature of the mixing of vector and axialvector mesons in heavy-ion collisions. We suggest an experimental method for its observation.","PeriodicalId":201208,"journal":{"name":"Acta Physica Hungarica A) Heavy Ion Physics","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130814387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is performed within the framework of the medium modi fied dihadron fragmentation functions. The modification occurs due to gluon bremsstrahlung induced by multiple scattering. The modified fragmentation functions for dihadrons are found to follow closely that of single hadrons leading to a weak nuclear suppression of their ratios as measured by HERMES in DIS experiments. Meanwhile, a moderate medium enhancement of the nearside correlation of two high-pT hadrons is found in central heavy-ion collisions, partially due to trigger bias caused by the competition between parton energy loss and the initial Cronin effect.","PeriodicalId":201208,"journal":{"name":"Acta Physica Hungarica A) Heavy Ion Physics","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128098757","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The measured transverse momentum (p T ) covers 0.4<p T <6.0 GeV/c for K S 0 , o, (Lambda + bar Lambda ) and 0.6<p T <5.0 GeV/c for (Xi ^ - + bar Xi ^ + ). The binary collision normalized nuclear modification factors R CP of these hadrons indicate that the Cronin effect in d+Au collisions has a distinct particle-type dependence. the R CP ratios show a distinct baryons versus mesons dependence: the R CP for (Xi ^ - + bar Xi ^ + ) follows that for (Lambda + bar Lambda ) while the R CP for the ϕ is close to that for the K S 0 . Similar features have also been observed in Au+Au collisions. Initial parton scattering alone is not sufficient to explain this particle-type dependence. Hadronization processes are likely to be important for determining hadron properties in high-energy collisions as suggested by coalescence and recombination models.","PeriodicalId":201208,"journal":{"name":"Acta Physica Hungarica A) Heavy Ion Physics","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131289438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
