It is apparently most closely related to R. rotiformis described from Sichuan, southwestern China. These two species share a smooth annular ledge appendage at the throat of the perianth tube. It is, however, readily distinguishable mainly by the lanceolate perianth lobes which strongly curved into a "W" shape in longitudinal section, the very short and bowl-shaped perianth tube, the ovary extends beyond the perianth tube. The taxonomic relationships of the new species to R. urotepala and R. lichuanensis also with an annular ledge appendage were also briefly discussed.

Given the tropical climate prevalent in São Tomé and Príncipe, a large component of their floras is comprised of ferns and lycophytes—here collectively referred to as pteridophytes. We provide information on the collectors of pteridophytes in São Tomé and Príncipe during the colonial period (from the earliest times up to 1975). New information on these collectors and their collections are provided, and some of the doubts that existed about localities where pteridophytes were collected are solved.\u0000

Based on a literature review, herbarium specimen examinations and field observations, six species are now recognised for this group. It is confirmed that the name A. kalkora had long been misapplied to the most widely distributed Albizia species in China. The correct name for this species is A. macrophylla, which was previously treated as a synonym of A. lebbeck. The identity of A. kalkora, which was based on material from Bihar Province, northern India, remains unknown, but a brief summary of its taxonomic history is provided. Albizia henryi and A. duclouxii are resurrected from the synonymy of A. kalkora. Albizia simeonis, which was formerly a synonym of A. kalkora, is here treated a synonym of A. henryi. Albizia calcarea is resurrected from the synonymy of A. garrettii and is newly reported from Guangdong, Guizhou and Hunan Provinces of China, and from northern Vietnam. The close relationship between A. calcarea, A. duclouxii and A. henryi is discussed. Further study of A. duclouxii is needed to better-assess its rank and its relationship to its two close relatives. Lectotypes are designated for A. calcarea, A. garrettii, A. henryi, and A. esquirolii. Former holotype citations are corrected to lectotypes for A. duclouxii and A. simeonis. A key to species, distinctive features, habitat, phenology, distribution and taxonomic notes for each species, and maps showing the distribution of the species that are native to China, together with a comparative table summarising the more important characters of each species are provided. Colour plates for four of the species are provided. \u0000

Cynoglossum teheranicum is distributed from Iran through Armenia and Georgia to the northeast of Turkey. The two newly proposed endemic species C. anatolicum is distributed over almost the entire territory of Turkey, while C. longeglochidiatum grows dispersed in a ring of localities flanking the Central Anatolian plateau. All three species belong to the group of hard to distinguish Cynoglossum species commonly classified in Turkey under C. montanum. Their distribution areas are shown on maps and the main characters used for identification are presented and illustrated. Emphasis is put on nutlet characters: length/width ratio, length of glochidia and their arrangement on the nutlet surface.

Several fungal pathogens have been reported from this host, but very few studies on saprobic fungi have been carried out. As a part of our studies on saprobic fungi of edible nuts, dead branches of Macadamia integrifolia with fungal fruiting bodies were collected from Yunnan Province of China. Molecular analyses of combined SSU, ITS, LSU, RPB2, and TEF1-α sequence data showed that our collection belongs to Bambusicolaceae and forms a distinct branch with other genera in this family. Our collection fits well with the Bambusicolaceae, and morphology is similar to Palmiascoma but can be distinguished by molecular data. Therefore, we introduce our collection as Neopalmiascoma gen. nov., with N. macadamiae as the type species. A description, photo plate, and phylogenetic tree to show the taxonomic placement of the new species are provided.

A detailed morphological study of available herbarium specimens was conducted and the species was integrated into a global molecular phylogeny of the family in order to more precisely investigate its taxonomy. Morphological analysis and dated phylogenetic reconstructions demonstrate that the species is not part of Callistopteris and is instead strongly supported as being included in the distinct genus Trichomanes, comprising mainly Neotropical and some Afro-Malagasy species. The uniqueness, within the Hymenophyllaceae and the genus Trichomanes, of an indumentum of glandular-like hairs on the adaxial side of the lamina and on the indusia, allows us to propose Asiatrichomanes as a new subgenus based on this species, which is here also neotypified.\u0000

It was found in Abies fanjingshanensis community of the massy dwarf forest to Fanjing Mountain, China, and this is the only site of its occurrence known to date. Phylogenetic analysis of the sequences based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS), the nuclear ribosomal large subunit (LSU) and partial gene coding RNA polymerase subunit II (rpb2) indicated that Sparassis fanjingshanensis belonged to the genus Sparassis and it formed a novel monophyletic clade next to Sparassis subalpina. Sparassis fanjingshanensis can be distinctly distinguished by its large basidiomata and light-gray to light-khaki flabellae that is compactly arranged, entire, broadly spathulate, slightly contorted, surface glabrous, top margin undulate, smooth, stem with concentric ring ornamentation (similar to the annual rings of a tree).
