The SAPF guarantees full compensation for reactive power, harmonic neutral current, harmonic currents, and unbalanced nonlinear load currents. The multiple-loop control scheme consists, first, of inner backstepping regulators that ensures the active and reactive powers controls, and second, an outer backstepping controller to ensure the DC voltage regulation. These backstepping controllers are synthesized using a new model of four-leg SAPF, which based on active and reactive powers derivatives. The DC capacitor voltage control for the three-level four-leg SAPF is performed using three-dimensional space vector modulation (3DSVM). Finally, the proposed control method has been verified and compared with traditional PI controllers through extensive simulations using MATLAB/Simulink.","PeriodicalId":200936,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications and Electrical Engineering (ICCEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130627425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, most of the studies were starting by using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) technique and applied to the various signals extracted from the motor as the stator phases currents. Unfortunately, FFT technique has some drawbacks such as suffering from the spectral leakage, also, it needs large data points to give clear results about the state of the machine. In addition, most of the induction motors are using speed control devices (the inverters), these devices reduce the effectiveness of FFT because it leads to the appearance of an additional harmonics, and it produces a further spectrum noises. To overcome these limitations, the Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm have been applied to replace the FFT. In particular, MUSIC algorithm allows to minimize the computation of the signal data without losing its diagnostic effectiveness, on the other hand, this technique allows to remove the noise that accompanies the signal. In this paper, the simulation results evidence the robustness of the MUSIC technique to detect the BRBs when the machine is operating under different conditions.","PeriodicalId":200936,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications and Electrical Engineering (ICCEE)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132017006","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spectrum sensing is used to determine unused spectrum and to utilize those spectrums for unauthorized communication, without interfering. In the literature exist several strategies for satisfactory detection performance. Among the most basic sensing schemes, the Energy Detection (ED) offers, as advantages, simplicity, rapid analysis, and not needing prior information of the primary users PU’s signal. However, a rapid degradation in the case of uncertain noise power value and the inability to distinguish between signals belonging to different systems, and between these signals and noise in low SNR are noticed as disadvantages. Within this context, this work proposes a new approach to improve energy detection algorithm based on adaptive threshold (EDAT). These adaptive thresholds are assessed based on the noise’s uncertainty factor that can be estimated utilizing the energy obtained by re-sampling received signal through a sliding window. Analysis of the simulation results showed that ED with adaptive threshold displays a significant improvement in case of noise uncertainty, compared to ED.","PeriodicalId":200936,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications and Electrical Engineering (ICCEE)","volume":"31 7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121410566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At first, an extended observer design based on the MVT combined with the sector nonlinearity approach to stabilizing the observer error of PMSM drive and ensured a minimum disturbance attenuation level to the error. The dynamics of the error are exhibited as a convex theory association of known matrices with time-varying parameters after representing the nonlinear system of the PMSM as a Lipschitz form. Using the Lyapunov theory, the stability terms are obtained and expressed in form of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs), the extended observer gain is gotten offline by solving the LMIs. With two line currents are measured, the extended observer estimates all PMSM drive states and moreover the rotor position. At the end, the suggested approach is applied to PMSM machine under OL-FOC through an illustrative simulation to affirm the effectiveness of the concept.","PeriodicalId":200936,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications and Electrical Engineering (ICCEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123435884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose two new algorithms, the first one is the Zero-Attracting (ZA) FNLMS which gives a better performance when the unknown system is extremely sparse. However, by decreasing the sparsity of the system, the Mean Square Error (MSE) got significantly worse than that of the FNLMS algorithm. To overcome this issue, another algorithm named Reweighted Zero-Attracting FNLMS (RZA-FNLMS) algorithm is proposed in this paper. Simulation results with stationary and non-stationary inputs under different Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) values of additive noise and change in the impulse response lengths show an improvement in the convergence speed.","PeriodicalId":200936,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Communications and Electrical Engineering (ICCEE)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127212681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
