After study data sets from Wikipedia and Slashdot networks, We find that the signs of links in the fundamental social networks can be used to classified the nodes and used to forecast the potential emerged sign of links in the future with high accuracy, using models that established across these diverse data sets. Based on the models, the proposed algorithm in the artwork provides perception into some of the underlying principles that extract from signed links in the networks. At the same time, the algorithm shed light on the social computing applications by which the attitude of a person toward another can be predicted from evidence provided by their around friends relationships.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132926391","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, two frame structures with different PN sequence designs for transmit diversity are proposed. One scheme takes PN sequence and zero sequence as frame header alternatively, and the other scheme designs a pair of orthogonal PN sequence based on space-time technique. Based on the proposed schemes, the corresponding iterative channel estimation method is also addressed. Analysis and simulations show that the proposed scheme can achieve good channel estimation and greatly improve the system performance.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116089162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Comparing with static location area, dynamic location area can reduce the cost of movement management, which is determined by the characteristic of user movement. In fact, each user only keeps two counters, one is the distance moved and another is the time passed. A location update is performed when this counter exceeds a predefined threshold value. Selective paging strategy is an optimized one which can significantly reduce the paging cost and time delay. In this paper, we propose 3 different selective paging strategies and compare these strategies by analysis and simulation.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124724795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To predict the tendency of propagation of mobile P2P passive worms and analyze their behaviors, it is necessary to model mobile P2P passive worm propagation. In this paper, the protocols of mobile P2P networks and the features of passive worm propagation are studied. On the basis, the mathematical model of passive worm propagation is proposed in applying Epidemiology. For the purpose of examining the effect of the mobile P2P-related parameters on worm propagation, simulation experiments are carried out. The results of these experiments show that different parameters have different effect on passive worm propagation, among which the average downloading rate and the average recovery rate of fixed peers have the strongest effect on passive worm propagation among mobile peers.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125900374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Femtocell is recently introduced for indoor coverage extension. However, interference problem between the femtocell and the macrocell should be solved in advance. In this paper, we propose an efficient interference management scheme in the OFDMA femtocell systems using Fractional Frequency Reuse (FFR) in order to minimize the interference between both cells. Under the pre-allocated frequency band within a macrocell through the FFR optimally, the proposed scheme allocates sub-bands the femtocells efficiently to consider macrocell having a priority over femtocells and total/edge throughputs. Simulation results show that proposed scheme enhances the throughputs performance in overall network, especially for the macrocell users and cell edge users.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130371484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we will propose an on-line assertion-based verification method which can be used in the transaction modeling of SystemC. The advantage of this method is that simple properties can be extracted from the transactions with complex structures. Assertions are built from these properties using Property Specification Language and evaluated during the simulation. The experiment results show that our method enrich the TLM library with ABV ability while incurring unnoticeable performance overhead to the simulation.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127081585","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Theoretical analysis and simulation results suggested that the measurement system should get the information of existing peers as many as possible. There is an interesting phase-transition phenomena in degree distribution when the size of the measurement system increases. A P2P network mixed with a small active measurement remains as a scale-free network; however, the mixture P2P network will not remain scale-free when the size of the measurement system exceeds a threshold. Simulation results also showed that the clustering coefficients of the mixture P2P network are greater than those of the original P2P network and the average path lengths of the mixture P2P network are smaller than those of the original P2P network. We had a general conclusion: a small but dense active measurement is better than a large but loose measurement system.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"157 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127367970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The conditions of adiabatic coupling for the adiabatic polarizer are identified through analytical derivations for the first time. The key design procedure is then suggested for achieving the required performance specifications such as the bandwidth and extinction ratio of the polarizer. The dependencies of the performance on structure parameters such as length and birefringence of the twisted fiber is discussed by simulations, and the broadband characteristics of the proposed polarizer are successfully demonstrated.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128875944","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the codebook-based precoding systems, the tradeoff between performance and feedback overhead should be considered. In this paper, a novel version of the Linde-Buzo-Gray (LBG) algorithm is first utilized in the codebook design by redefining a set of operations in the conventional LBG algorithm. Moreover, the codebook can be trained online under spatial correlated channel adapting to the channel variation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed codebook design achieves better robustness, smaller quantization error and higher capacity than the traditional fixed uniform codebook design does.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121416549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
