Masalah yang saat ini berkembang dalam pengobatan penyakit infeksi adalah resistensi antimikroba. Resistensi antimikroba merupakan ketidakmampuan suatu antibiotik untuk menyembukan penyakit infeksi, sehingga dibutuhkan senyawa antimikroba baru yang mampu membunuh patogen penginfeksi (bakteri, jamur, virus dan parasit multi seluler). Tanaman telang (Clitoria ternatea L.) telah diidentifikasi sebagai tanaman yang berpotensi sebagai antibakteri. Tujuan studi literatur ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri dan mengidentifikasi mekanisme molekuler berdasarkan kandungan kimia dari daun telang yang belum dilakukan sebelumnya. \u0000Penelitian menggunkan metode systematic literature review (SLR) untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan mekanisme antibakteri berdasarkan senyawa bioaktif yang terkandung dengan menggunakan PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) sebagai protokol review. Strategi pencarian data menggunakan search engine: science direct, google scholar dan pubmed. Kata kunci pencarian menggunkan kombinasi kata-kata dalam rumusan masalah dan menggunakan Boolean “OR” dan “AND”. \u0000Hasil pencarian literatur yang relevan memperoleh 22 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria yang terdiri dari artikel senyawa kimia, aktivitas dan mekanisme antibakteri. Hasil SLR menunjukan daun telang berpotensi sebagai antibakteri dan memiliki mekanisme molekuler yaitu, menggangu permeabilitas membran sel, menghambat sintesis asam nukleat dan protein dan menghambat pembentukan biofilm. This study characterized the selected pharmacognostic and physicochemical specifications and antioxidant potentials of C. comosa crude drugs. The pharmacognostic and physicochemical properties of two kinds of crude drugs were characterized according to the WHO quality control methods for herbal materials. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging activity, ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), and total phenolic content (TPC) were evaluated as per the standard method. The microscopic observation showed relatively large-sized starch granules, cortical parenchyma, vessel, and sclerenchyma fibre. The thin-layer chromatography (TLC) profile demonstrated distinct separation with two major spots. The physicochemical evaluations specified as follow: moisture (8.87±1.37%), total ash (2.35±0.12%), acid-insoluble ash (0.80±0.08%), volatile oil (1.01±0.03%), water-soluble extractable (16.01±0.95%), and ethanol-soluble extractable (17.74±1.56%). The DPPH scavenging activity, FRAP, and TPC of the crude drugs were 765.56±80.50 mM Trolox equivalent (TE)/g dry weight (DW), 505.42±22.44 mM TE/g DW, and 46.09±2.27 mg Gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/g DW. Bakteri asam laktat merupakan kelompok bakteri gram positif yang tidak membentuk spora dan dapat memfermentasikan karbohidrat untuk menghasilkan asam laktat dan bersifat katalase negatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan isolat bakteri asam laktat asal kimchi dengan karakteristik spesifik, serta formula granul liofilisat bakteri asam laktat yang stabil dan memiliki efektivitas terhadap bakteri penyebab diare. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini untuk isolasi yaitu metode tuang, pengujian aktivitas dengan metode difusi agar atau Kirby-Bauer terhadap bakteri uji Escherichia coli dan Salmonella typhimurium, sedangkan untuk formula granul dibuat dengan metode granulasi basah dan menggunakan variasi zat aktif yaitu liofilisat bakteri asam laktat. Dari hasil isolasi didapatkan sebanyak 8 isolat bakteri asam laktat asal kimchi dengan karakteristik makroskopik, mikroskopik serta uji katalase menyerupai bakteri asam laktat dan hasil uji aktivitas dari 8 isolat, isolat K8 memiliki aktivitas terbesar dengan diameter penghambatan 11,015±1,0 mm terhadap Escherichia coli dan 11,68±0,6 mm terhadap Salmonella typhimurium. Tatalaksana terapi skizofrenia utamanya adalah antipsikotik. Pemberian kombinasi terapi baik antara antipsikotik ataupun antipsikotik dengan non-antipsikotik berpotensi menimbulkan Drug Related Problems (DRPs) yang berisiko keamanan pengobatan ataupun efektivitas terapi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan identifikasi profil DRPs atau permasalah terkait dengan terapi obat di Instalasi Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit Jiwa Mutiara Sukma NTB. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain Cross-sectional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah 105 pasien skizofrenia yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi (pasien skizofrenia dengan usia 18-60 tahun, ditanggung BPJS dan data rekam medis lengkap dan terbaca) dan eksklusi (pasien hamil, pasien COVID-19 dan pasien skizofrenia dengan penyakit penyerta diabetes melitus, gagal ginjal, CHF (Congestif Heart Failure), hipertensi, stroke, kanker, dan HIV/AIDS). Penelitian ini berbasis rekam medis pada periode Januari-Desember 2020. Data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan pedoman PCNE V9.01 dan diolah dengan software Microsoft excel 2019 sehingga didapatkan hasil berupa persentase kejadian Drug Related Problems (DRPs). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kejadian DRPs pada pasien skizofrenia di Instalasi Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit Jiwa Mutiara Sukma NTB tahun 2020. Berdasarkan 105 pasien skizofrenia, 89,5% mengalami DRPs dengan total 117 kejadian. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak dan fraksi daun gedi hijau dengan metode DPPH. Bahan uji yang digunakan adalah serbuk kering daun gedi hijau yang diperoleh dari BALITTRO (Balai Penelitian Tanaman Rempah dan Obat) Kecamatan Bogor Tengah Kota Bogor Provinsi Jawa Barat. Pembuatan ekstrak dilakukan secara maserasi dengan etanol 96%, kemudian dievaporasi menjadi ekstrak kental dengan hasil rendemen sebesar 11,14%, selanjutnya difraksinasi cair-cair berturut-turut dengan pelarut n-heksan, etil asetat dan air. Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH (1,1-Difenil-2-Pikrilhidrazil) dengan vitamin C sebagai kontrol positif. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan pada ekstrak etanol awal, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi air tergolong efektif, sedangkan fraksi n-heksan tergolong tidak efektif. Inappropriate use of antibiotics in hospitals will increase the cost of therapy and the incidence of nosocomial infections of infectious microorganisms. Preoperative prophylactic antibiotics are believed to reduce the incidence of surgical site infections. Objective: This study aims to determine the pattern of antibiotic use and analyse the use of antibiotics qualitatively by the Gyssen method and quantitatively by the defined daily dose (DDD) method in inpatients with bone fractures at the Haji General Hospital Surabaya, Indonesia. Methods: This study was a descriptive observational study conducted on 89 samples. Data were collected retrospectively through medical records in the period January-December 2019. Antibiotic use data were then analysed qualitatively and quantitatively using the Gyssen and DDD methods. Results: In this study, the antibiotic that was widely used as a prophylactic and therapeutic antibiotic in patients with bone fractures was ceftriaxone. Quantitative analysis using the DDD method showed that the value of ceftriaxone was 45.6/100 patient-days and cefazoline was 3.1/100 patient-days. Analysis of antibiotic use in bone fracture patients using the Gyssen method showed that the rational use of antibiotics was 84.3%, the use of antibiotics was not timely as much as 4.5%, and the interval of antibiotic administration was not appropriate as much as 11.2%. Conclusion: the use of antibiotics in fracture surgery patients is classified as rational use of antibiotics but the use of antibiotics still exceeds WHO standards. Diabetes melitus membutuhkan perawatan medis secara terus-menerus sehingga biaya medis yang dikeluarkan besar. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis efektivitas biaya penggunaan antidiabetik oral pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 rawat jalan di RSU Haji Surabaya. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif observasional dengan data retrospektif berupa rekam medis dan biaya pengobatan pasien rawat jalan dengan penyakit diabetes melitus tipe 2 di RSU Haji Kota Surabaya Periode Juni-November 2021. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan rumus Average Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ACER) dan Incremental Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ICER). Hasil: Didapatkan 70 pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan penyakit penyerta yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Penggunaan terapi antidiabetik oral monoterapi ditemukan pada 11 pasien dan pada terapi antidiabetik oral kombinasi sebanyak 59 pasien. Antidiabetik oral monoterapi yang paling banyak digunakan adalah glimepiride (8,57%), sedangkan pada antidiabetik oral kombinasi adalah kombinasi metformin dan glimepiride (17,14%). Terapi antidiabetik oral monoterapi yang paling cost-effective adalah gliklazid dengan nilai efektivitas sebesar 100%, nilai ACER sebesar Rp 1.331,15. dan nilai ICER Rp. -641,70 dan Rp. -714.52. Sedangkan terapi antidiabetik oral kombinasi yang paling cost-effective adalah kombinasi pioglitazone, metformin dan glimepiride dengan nilai efektivitas 55,56%, nilai ACER sebesar Rp 3.266,34 dan nilai ICER Rp. 1.491,54 dan Rp. 1.654,43. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan parameter ACER dan ICER, antidiabetik oral monoterapi yang paling cost-effective adalah gliklazid. Namun, masih ada beberapa keterbatasan dalam system ini, terutama terkait dengan kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan penetrasi obat melalui kulit. Oleh karena itu, mekanisme penghantaran obat baru berdasarkan microneedle telah dikembangkan. Microneedles dianggap sebagai jawaban atas masalah metode sebelumnya, yaitu banyaknya obat yang tidak dapat menembus kulit untuk mencapai efek terapeutik. Dissolving microneedle, terutama kitosan, dipilih sebagai bahan penyusun karena memiliki karakteristik biodegradabilitas, biokompatibilitas, tidak beracun, polikationik, dan aktivitas antibakteri. Namun metode dan perbandingan komponen kitosan dalam pembuatan microneedle patch belum banyak diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan metode preparasi dan rasio komponen kitosan dalam microneedle patch untuk sistem penghantaran obat transdermal. Penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode review artikel tersturuktur dilakukan pada tiga database digital: Google Scholar, Scopus, dan Crossref. 16 artikel dipilih sebagai sampel setelah proses seleksi dan critical appraisal dilakukan. Hasil sintesis dari 16 artikel akhir terpilih didapatkan bahwa micromolding menggunakan polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) merupakan metode yang paling banyak digunakan untuk fabrikasi microneedle kitosan karena memungkinkan replikasi microneedle yang tepat dan akurat sesuai dengan spesifikasi tinggi dan diameter yang diinginkan serta memungkinkan produksi secara massal. Rasio komponen kitosan yang paling banyak digunakan adalah larutan kitosan 2% (b/v) dimana serbuk kitosan dilarutkan dalam larutan asam asetat 1% (v/v). Microneedle kitosan 2% memiliki kekuatan mekanik yang lebih rendah dibandingkan konsentrasi lainnya. Namun dengan kekuatan mekanik yang lebih rendah, microneedle kitosan 2% tetap dapat disisipkan ke dalam kulit. Kesimpulannya microneedles dapat dibuat dari kitosan umumnya dengan teknik micromolding menggunakan PDMS dengan kitosan 2%. The potential benefits of black potatoes are not widely known by public, so it is necessary to cultivate one of them by processing it into food such as instant porridge, which is then labeled as B-PORIS product. The reason for choosing instant porridge was because it is a practical food product. This research aimed to prove that instant porridge from black potato contains bioactive compounds flavonoids, especially anthocyanins. These instant porridges are made with the appropriate ratio in 3 formulations with different parameters of black potato flour concentration, formulation 1 10%, formulation 2 9%, and formulation 3 11%. This research was conducted with organoleptic tests, moisture content tests, flavonoids, anthocyanins, and hedonic tests. The results of the organoleptic test obtained soft texture, characteristic chocolate smell, brown color, and slightly sweet and sweeter taste. The results of moisture content test were qualified with water content of not more than 7%. The results of flavonoid and anthocyanin test obtained positive results in all of formulations. The hedonic test result 80-90% of panelists indicate choose an option like, and really like in questionnaires, results demonstrated that formulation 3 was most likely. The natural alternative burn treatment can use hydrolyzed collagen derived from aquatic ecosystems, one of them is fish. Objectives: The aim of this research was to find the optimum formulation of tilapia fish collagen extract ointment. Methods: Fish skin that has been separated was prepared using the solution of NaOH 0,1 N and Butyl Alcohol 10%.Then the fish skin was extracted using a 0.5 M acetic acid solution and precipitated with a 0.9 M NaCl solution. Then, dialysis was performed using a plastic membrane (14 KDa) in a 0.1 M acetic acid solution and distilled water to obtain a wet collagen extract which was then in the FreezeDryer to reduce the water content. Results: The collagen extract obtained was used for ointment formulations with different concentrations of collagen extract, that is 5%, 10%, and 15% and 2 additional miana plant extracts were used with collagen extract 5+5% and 10+10%. The results of the formulation were tested on burns with a diameter of 0.715 cm in mice. Conclusion: From the results of the effectiveness test, the formulation with 15% collagen extract showed effective results.
