For better performance, a robust, efficient and reliable control and driving scheme needs to be designed. In this Paper a control scheme is designed which based on Most Torque Per Ampere (MTPA) strategy to obtain high power density and is specially designed to achieve smooth transition between constant torque mode and constant power (field weakening) mode. In addition, a novel low-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme is designed to achieve smooth transitions between various fundamental-carrier wave frequency ratios while maintaining the synchronization between stator and rotor flux throughout the entire operation range. The validity of the scheme has been proved by simulation results and experiment is underway.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126190306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper adopts information fusion technology, using of dual extended Kalman filter (DEKF) theory for rapid simulation and estimation of these parameters. Using different vehicles model and tire model, DEKF recursive estimation models are established and verified. Experimental results show that DEKF is designed by vehicle dynamic model based on three degrees of freedom(3-DOF), using the Highway Safety Research Institute tire model, not only accurately estimates the vehicle state parameters, but also estimates the road tire friction coefficient in real-time. In the DEKF, two recursive state and parameter estimation model exist in parallel, while they are dependent on each other, and have real-time interaction correction to forecast information, which quickly converges towards estimated true value for simulation. The accurate estimation of DEKF theory in the vehicle state and road information, make it possible that some of the parameters can be estimated, which is proved to be difficult to obtain, and it also provides the necessary conditions for the vehicle active control system. In the meantime, the validity and feasibility of this algorithm have been verified by CarSim and HIL driving simulator, and offers the possibility of application in real car in future.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126659913","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The structure is assumed to be operating in two states, idle state and SHM state. During the idle state (when SHM is not being performed), the PZT patches will harvest the energy and store it in an appropriate storage device, such as a battery or a capacitor. In the SHM state, the same stored energy will be utilized for the SHM of the host structure by the same PZT patch, either in the global mode (standard vibration techniques) or the local mode (EMI technique) or both. It is assumed that the total duration of the SHM state will be very small as compared to the idle state.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126685036","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially, high power and high voltage gain DC-DC converter is now required in Fuel Cell Vehicle applications. This paper presents a high power high voltage gain interleaved DC-DC converter. It is a kind of non-isolated boost converter, which will raise a DC voltage of 120 V to a voltage of 700 V. The rating power of the converter may be at 60 kW. There are four modules of DC boost converter in this converter topology. All four modules are connected in parallel and controlled by 90 phase shifting degree to each other. The converter topology will be simulated by MATLAB/SIMULINK. The classical PI controller is selected for each current loop. Experiments on this converter are conducted based on a novel test bench, which uses a boost converter and a buck converter to form an energy cycle. Then experimental results will be studied in the lab for this converter.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"175 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126942203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The CPT system can achieve several kW power transfer through an air-gap distance of 150 mm with the dc-dc efficiency higher than 90%. Four pieces of metal plates are used as the capacitive coupler to build up electric fields and transfer power. A double-sided LCLC compensation circuit topology is proposed for the coupler to boost the voltage on the plates. The plates can be arranged vertically, instead of horizontally, to maintain the system power at rotatory misalignment conditions. The CPT system can also be combined with the inductive power transfer (IPT) system, in which the capacitors between the plates resonate with the inductors of the coils. Three prototypes have been constructed to validate the high power CPT system, which demonstrate that the CPT technology is suitable for electric vehicle charging applications.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127203534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

RPEVs are free from serious battery problems such as large, heavy, and expensive battery packs and long charging time because they get power directly from the road while moving. The power transfer capacity, efficiency, lateral tolerance, EMF, air-gap, size, weight, and cost of the WPTSs have been improved by virtues of innovative semiconductor switches, better coil designs, roadway construction techniques, and higher operating frequency. In this paper, fundamentals of WPTSs for RPEVs as well as recent progress in developments of on-line electric vehicles (OLEVs) that have been commercialized firstly in 2013 and made by KAIST, Korea are summarized. The fifth- (5G) and sixth-generation (6G) OLEVs, which can reduce construction cost and time for its commercialization, and the interoperability issue between RPEVs and SCEVs are addressed in detail.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130832148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis and the experiment in this paper show that it suffers from poor power factor and low power output if conventional AC-DC converters with isolated transformer are directly applied to high frequency AC-DC power conversion. Thus, three topologies of AC-DC converters applied to high frequency AC-DC power conversion are proposed, studied and evaluated, to convert 50kHz/36V AC voltage to DC voltage of 12 V. The analysis and experimental results show that the AC-DC converters with an isolated transformer, a resonant capacitor and a class-E rectifier and with an isolated transformer, a resonant capacitor and a full-bridge rectifier are suitable for 50 kHz AC-DC power conversion. Therefore, this study provides the valuable and reasonable solutions to high frequency AC-DC power conversion.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131416680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the voltage changes of distribution network under both ways of the photovoltaic sources single-point and multi-points access to distribution network, this paper puts forward three quantitative indicators, which include of voltage difference change rate, static voltage indicator and net loss variation. In view of practical engineering network topology, the quantitative indicators are calculated to analyze the influence of photovoltaic sources integrated into the distribution network, and the rationality of photovoltaic sources access scheme of the demonstration project is verified. It proves that these quantitative indicators have practical engineering applications value.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"131 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132688090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
