They consist of integrated Lresonators and cross polarized transmitting and receiving circular patch antennas. The validations of the proposed designs have been carried out using 8-bit data encoded tags, for the frequency band of 3.3–5.8 GHz, and microstrip circular antenna prototypes on Rogers substrate. The measured power difference of more than 15dB between the presence and absence bits, can enable precise detection of bits. These features blended with simple design scheme make them potentially suitable for low power applications such as IoTs and for mass production and deployments.","PeriodicalId":198124,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134151524","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As an example, a holey PPW with gradient effective index mimicking a convex lens is designed and numerically demonstrated via fullwave simulations.","PeriodicalId":198124,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133459650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Along with developments of the Industry 4.0, the WSNs start to play a vital role in the construction of smart factories and realization of intelligent manufacturing. Although, the industrial WSNs (IWSNs) presents great quantity of advantages, there still have some drawbacks to overcome such as challenges of the quality of data for IWSNs. In order to resolve the data missing problems in the context of IWSNs, the Last Observation Carried Forward method is adopted to estimate the missing value and reconstruct the sensing dataset which takes into account the temporal characteristics of sensing data in IWSNs. Through experiments, this method is proved to be an easy and effective measurement for missing value imputation of the large multi-dimensional sensing data achieved by the IWSNs.","PeriodicalId":198124,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127753961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The structure consists of one air gap sandwiched between top lossy FSS layer and bottom lossless FSS layer, which exhibits a transmission window at 1.70GHz and a 10dB broadband absorption from 0.75GHz to 3.30GHz while the thickness is less than 10% of the free space wavelength at the lowest operating frequency. A switch between absorber and rasorber can be achieved by turning PIN diodes on/off, respectively. We think the proposed rasorber can be applied in low-frequency band stealth technology. The proposed subreflectarray is composed of three layers, namely, one phase shifting layer (PSL) and two frequency selective layers (FSLs). A FS-SR is modeled and simulated, and its scattering patterns under feed illuminations are obtained. The simulation results show that the FS-SR could indeed support S/X dual band operation. The series fed patch antenna array, arranged in a circular fashion makes the RFID tag detection viable in any orientation at the near zone. At far-field distances, the antenna can detect tags up to 6 meters. The antenna has a bandwidth of 28 MHz and is designed for Region-2 RFID frequencies. It uses an unconventional substrate that is lightweight, non-toxic, chemically resistant and self-extinguishing if exposed to fire.
