Based on the fuzzy utility functions of system operators and a fuzzy satisfaction-maximizing scheme, a set of non-inferior solutions are obtained. For each non-inferior solution, the associated marginal rate of substitution (MRS) is then calculated to help the operators more rationally determine the weight factors of the objectives considered, and hence the final best compromise solution. Numerical results of the IEEE 30-bus test systems are presented to demonstrate the proposed fuzzy bi-objective decision approach.","PeriodicalId":197019,"journal":{"name":"Soft Computing in Intelligent Systems and Information Processing. This proposed stability criterion does not need a positive definite matrix solution of Lyapunov equations or a Lyapunov equation such that sufficient stability conditions are satisfied for every IF-THEN rule. Therefore this stability criterion enables us to check the stability of the discrete TS fuzzy model with less computation. A simple example is included to illustrate an application of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":197019,"journal":{"name":"Soft Computing in Intelligent Systems and Information Processing. This study demonstrates the merits of a real-time fuzzy logic controller for such control purposes by comparing it with a conventional proportional (F/M)/sub an/ controller. Using the conventional system alongside our proposed system continuous-flow pilot plant experiments with automatic monitoring and control facilities were carried out. Five effluent parameters (dissolved COD, dissolved P, total SS, total COD, and total P) were utilized to evaluate their dynamic system performance. This paper shows that a fuzzy inference system with some minor restrictions and modifications can function as a discrete wavelet transform. Such remissness is harmful to people's life and property. We adopt the ideal of backup coverage to expand the BACOP1 model to the BACOP1-m model with m+1 objectives in the 0-1 integer programming model to analyze the emergency facilities layout of a new development planning area. In the process of analysis, the TOPSIS multiobjective programming approach was suggested to obtain non inferior solutions. Finally, a case study for fire station layout in Tanhai new town is shown. Five alternatives, including different amounts and layouts were obtained by using the different weights for objectives. The results can prove the usefulness of the model and provide a basis for the evaluating process.","PeriodicalId":197019,"journal":{"name":"Soft Computing in Intelligent Systems and Information Processing.
