Sometimes it is very difficult to deliver full information without information leakage to the user, there may be some huge obstacles to block the direct connection between transmitter and receiver. Moreover, there may be an eavesdropper is present near to the mobile user who can determine critical information while sending. At the receiver side, accurate channel estimation is necessary to obtain the information perfectly. Intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs) are an arising innovation that empowers tunable abnormal dissipating of incident electromagnetic waves. This grants dynamic control of the propagation environment and presents an extra enhancement measurement to wireless communication networks. In this paper an Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) assisted Terahertz (THz) communication is considered. IRS act as a mediator between transmitter and receiver. For high carrier frequency applications, a terahertz frequency band is used, which promises extensive bandwidth (0.1-10 THz). Compared to other techniques THz permits higher link directionality and offers lower eavesdropping chances. The IRS is a rising strategy for extending signal coverage and can defeat high path loss of THz systems. Here Compressive sensing (CS) technique is using to obtain the channel estimation.","PeriodicalId":19674,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Science and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86315383","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is because particles do interact to form agglomerates, and in consequence, produce particles with deteriorated quality. In this study, ceria and Ni doped ceria nanospheres (NSs) were prepared using a surfactant free precipitation and co-precipitation techniques, respectively. The prepared samples were characterized using XRD, SEM, EDX, UV-VIS and FTIR. XRD pattern of the undoped ceria confirms the formation of a fluorite cubic structure of ceria and the absence of additional phase in the XRD patterns of the doped ceria samples implies that the ceria cubic structure is retained. FE-SEM analysis revealed that samples possess spherical morphology. Both the average crystallite sizes and the average particle diameters of the samples were found to occur within nano-range. UV-Vis analysis reveals that samples demonstrated excellent optical properties. The optical band gap of the undoped ceria was found to increase with doping 3% and 5% Ni, which could be due to Burstein- Moss effect. However, doping 1% Ni was found to reduce the optical band gap of the undoped ceria, which could be associated with the reduction of the average crystallite size and therefore, is regarded as the optimum dopant. EDX analysis confirms the presence of the cerium, oxygen as well as the expected doping concentrations of the Ni precursor. FTIR analysis shows the presence of O-H stretching vibrations in all samples. Therefore, these nanostructures with such enhanced properties could be utilized as potential materials in a number of electronic and catalytic applications.","PeriodicalId":19674,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Science and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80798897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Each of which triggers emotional distress that has become a growing topic in research studies related to stress during the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of previous studies have proven a possible effect of providing a stimulus that involves cognitive processes on emotional responses. Movie scene is one of the most effective methods used in Mood Induction Procedures (MIP). Positive emotion that reflects the extent to which a person feels enthusiastic and active could also be raised with this method. A total of 60 sophomore year students of the Faculty of Psychology at Padjadjaran University with emotional distress were selected using convenience sampling. Participants were divided into two groups, in which one group received treatment in the form of entertaining movie scenes, and the other group did not. Both groups filled out PANAS (Positive and Negative Affect Schedule) questionnaire to provide measurement result of the positive emotion they experienced. Independent sample t-test was performed and it showed a significant result that the provision of movie scenes affected positive emotion in participants who were experiencing distress.","PeriodicalId":19674,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Science and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84674080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore optimized and cost operative power generation is the requirement of the day. In power system operation and planning the Economic Dispatch (ED) problem is prevailing and noteworthy one. The ED problem of several standards is disentangled with so many classical and meta-heuristics optimization techniques. In the triumphed research work, a unique and innovative optimization procedure, Chemical Reaction Optimization (CRO) hybridized with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is recommended for the solution of ED problem. Generating unit power limits, load fulfillment and prohibited operating zones are considered as constrained for different IEEE standard ED problems. The non-convex economic dispatch problem is coded at Hybrid Particle Chemical Reaction Optimization (HP-CRO) charter and employed in MATLAB for 50 trials, 50 search agents and 1000 iterations. The offered technique is applied on various IEEE standard test systems including 6, 15 and 40 generating units. The exhibited results are paralleled with stated practices mentioned in the literature for above test systems. The results obtained from proposed techniques give an edge to those obtained from other techniques from cost point of view.","PeriodicalId":19674,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Science and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90383999","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This will result in a growth in post-operation rehabilitation services. In order to meet this growth, it will be beneficial for occupational therapists and physical therapists to have an understanding of a patient’s expected post-surgery recovery rate. Once developed these rates can be used to benchmark individual patient improvement, help estimate expected costs and lengths of therapy, and possibly help design optimal treatment session scheduling. In this paper, we consider Hierarchical Linear Model to analyze how male and female patients respond to TKA and similar surgeries.","PeriodicalId":19674,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Science and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75510580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

He was born on 22Jun, 1964 in Exeter, New Hampshire US. Brown wrote a various number of what is called historiographic metafiction novel. This term has been equivalent to postmodernism in fiction and has become so popular trend of writing in the 70s and 80s. Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code (2003) is a \"postmodern historical novel\", in which he treats a large number of matters such as the questioning of the authority of Catholicism and conservative Protestantism. He used many sources to make his argument more believable and could be read as a realistic novel, such as Holy Grail and Holy Blood, The Dead Sea Scrolls, and The Gnostic Nag Hammadi. The paper will investigate the historical and religious speculations of Da Brown as reflected in Da Vinci Cod relying on the critical theory of postmodernism. The novel involves many postmodernist elements such as the use of textual and historical debate of the Holy Grail and Holy Blood. Dan Brown has challenged the Holy Writ \"Biblical\" authority when describing it as historically elevate, biased, and made to suppress Jesus's fact. The paper ends with a conclusion that clarifies how we could read The Da Vinci Code as a postmodern novel.","PeriodicalId":19674,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Science and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78535977","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The specimen consists of three models. Two of which are precast beam-column connections and one is monolith. The precast and monolith specimen were designed for the same strength. The cross-sectional dimensions of the beam 250 mm x 300 mm and column 300 mm x 300 mm. Connections are placed in plastic hinge area, with a distance of h (beam height) from the face of the column which is expected to occur first destruction.  Precast construction joints are distinguished, with 3 different models, namely monolith, double notch type 1 (STR-1), and double notch type 2 (STR-2). Maximum load capacity, hysterical behavior and energy dissipation are measured, and capacity is compared. The results showed that beam-column joint    STR-2 are better able to absorb energy than beam column joint monolith and beam-column joint STR-1. Kumulative energy dissipation of monolith about 9333.07 kN-mm, STR-1 is 8336.76 kN-mm, and STR-2 is 10162.52 kN-mm. The use of dual notch connections (STR-1 and STR-2) provides satisfactory performance, which is marked by meeting the minimum relative energy dissipation ratio at a 3.5% drift according to the ACI Committee 374.1-05.  The results show that the STR-2 beam-column connection is more capable of absorbing energy than the monolith beam-column connection and STR-1 beam connection. the value of monolithic cumulative energy dissipation is around 9333.07 kN-mm, STR-1 is 8336.76 kN-mm, and STR-2 is 10162.52 kN-mm. in principle, all three test specimens, monoliths, STR-1 and STR-2 provide satisfactory stability performance under lateral cyclic loads, because they still meet the minimum relative energy dissipation ratio at a deviation of 3.5% according to the ACI Committee 374.1 -05","PeriodicalId":19674,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Science and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85952218","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So, we have proposed an automated deep learning algorithm to classify plants into appropriate taxonomy using a leaf. Different plant images are captured in a natural environment and created a Leaf dataset containing 12798 leaf images with white background. Preprocessing, segmentation and pattern matching techniques were used to obtain the desired output. Convolutional Neural Network has been used as a pattern matcher to compare the information of an input image with the images in the dataset. Thus, we obtained an accuracy ranging from 95% to 99% by using Convolutional Neural Network algorithm.
