This study aims to determine the variation of metal transfer on the tensile strength, impact, macro structure, and micro structure of low carbon steel metal in GMAW welding. The material used in this study was AISI 1018 low carbon steel. The material was welded using the GMAW method. Variation of globular arc, spray arc and short arc welding. Tests carried out include tensile testing, impact testing, hardness testing, macro-structural observations and micro-structural observations. The test phase to determine tensile strength refers to ASTM E8/E8M-09 with specimen dimensions of 100 mm long, 10 mm wide and 5 mm thick, while for impact testing refers to ASTM E23-07a with dimensions of 55 mm long, 10 mm wide and 10 mm thick. 10 mm with a notch depth of 5 mm and photographic observations of macro and micro structures. At this time plants containing fiber were mostly used for the manufacture of handicrafts. One of the plants in question is the pandan plant, with the passage of time, it is necessary to use fiber from pandan plants so that it can be used for the latest technology. In this study, composites were made using pandan fibers, where for variations of this study, namely 0°, 90° and random. As for the process of making composites using the press method and in coating carbon cloth on composite surfaces using the hand lay up method. In this study, researchers conducted tensile testing based on ASTM D-3039 and for impact testing based on ASTM E-23. The results of this study were for specimens in the best tensile testing was at an angle variation of 90° with an average tensile strength of 29.43 MPa. Material degradation through corrosion is sure to happen quickly and slowly. This study aims to determine the most significant factor causing corrosion and the types of corrosion in the filter feed pump installed in the wastewater treatment plant. Identification of failures is made by conducting visual inspections and literature studies regarding the plant operation, inspection, repair, and replacement data. From these data, an analysis of the aggressiveness of fresh water, an analysis of the operation and maintenance of the causes of corrosion failure on pump components, and the type of corrosion that occurred on pump components are carried out. In addition, analyses are also carried out regarding the possible combination of causes of corrosion failure between redox reactions and loading, which causes stress corrosion cracking and fatigue corrosion. Based on the studies, it was found that the operation, maintenance, and environmental factors cause the corrosion that occurs. Lack of maintenance is the most dominant fault as factor causing corrosion. Not doing predictive maintenance causes tremendous damage to the pump casing cover. The oxygen difference factor also causes failure of the casing, wear ring eye, bearing bracket, and shaft. The dominant chromite ore mined is utilized for the manufacture of ferrochrome, the rest for refractories and paint materials. The Palludda Barru area contains chromite ore with low grade or cannot be utilized further. A suitable concentration method for processing chromite ore is the gravity concentration method, one of which is a shaking table. The research was conducted with the aim to determine the amount of increase in grade and recovery of chromite ore from Palludda Barru using shaking table gravity concentration. Samples from the Palludda Barru field were first characterized to determine the minerals and the levels of minerals or elements contained in the chromite ore. The ore before being fed, was reduced in size using a jaw crusher and ball mill. Experiments were conducted by varying the table inclination angle from 5° to 15°. The results showed that the inclination angle affected the Cr content and recovery obtained. This has an indirect impact on the increase in metallurgical waste resulting from the processing of these materials. In Indonesia, metal processing slag , including Nickel Pig Iron (NPI) slag , is a waste that has yet to be used optimally. On the other hand, NPI slag contains elements such as Pb, Zn, As, Cd, and Co, which have the potential to pollute the environment and harm humans. Therefore, it is necessary to utilize NPI slag as a more valuable product to increase the economic value of metallurgical waste and minimize environmental pollution. In this paper, studied characterization of NPI slag has the potential to be developed as a geopolymer. The characterization was carried out by EDS mapping and XRD on slag NPI with a size of 200 mesh. The characterization results show that there are phases of quartz, clinoenstatite, sillimanite, calcium peroxide, olivine, forsterite, fayalite, and hypothetical silica. The phase was identified through the peaks of the XRD diffractogram at an angle of 20-70. Hasil inspeksi akan digunakan sebagai dasar untuk melakukan perawatan ataupun perbaikan pada peralatan. Peralatan yang dilakukan grading antara lain adalah 31-C-101, 32-C-103, 32-C-101,31-V-101, 31-V-104, 32-V-101, dan 31-R-101.Grade inspeksi ditentukan berdasarkan hasil analisa sejarah laporan pemeriksaan pada setiap alat sehingga diketahui kapan peralatan tersebut mengalami inspeksi dan isnpeksi jenis apa yang telah dilakukan pada peralatan tersebut. Dari tujuh peralatan yang sudah di grading dihasilkan bervariasi hasil grading dari 7 peralatan. 6 dari 7 peralatan masuk keadalam grade 2 dan ada 1 euipment berada pada grade 3. Peralatan 32-C-103 tidak bisa dilakukan prediksi kerusakan karena pada peralatan tersebut terdapat localized dan pitting corrosion serta dibuktikan dengan adanya keruskaan secara tiba tiba pada peralatan. Barata Indonesia (Persero) Tegal Water Resources Division is one of the hydromechanical workshops that focus on the construction of water buildings such as Penstock, valves, trashrack water gates on the dam and flood controlling pumps. Penstock is a channel that connects the water reservoir from the dam to the turbine in the power plant building. In the study entitled \"The Effect of Low Hydrogen Electrode Drying on Longitudinal Weld Penstock Steel SM 400 B Material Against Welding Defects With Non-Destructive Inspection Test Radiographic Methods\" was carried out to determine the comparison of the welding results of the penstock components using the condition of the electrodes being dried and without being drying and its effect on welding defects produced by inspection of the non-destructive test radiography. The first method of testing is to search for supporting literature, collect field data, carry out radiographic testing, film reading and interpretation of defects. The parent metal used is SM 400 B steel which has been Mill Test certified and has perfect weldability. The welding process is carried out using the SMAW method using the E7016 electrode. Based on research that has been done, the welding defect identified is the Wormhole Porosity cluster.
