In this review study, emphasis is placed on coastal, lacustrine or riparian wetlands, which are currently in a state of conservation risk due to various anthropogenic activities, for example, cattle ranching and agriculture (Marín-Muñiz, 2013).","PeriodicalId":194964,"journal":{"name":"Renewable Energy, Biomass & Sustainability","volume":"383 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123223089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When nutrients are depleted, this bacterium generates spores that germinate to form vegetative cells when nutrients become available again in the medium (Bremer, 2002). In this regard, the molecular mechanisms of tRNA accumulation during sporulation are a priority, as they play an essential role in translation during spore germination and its subsequent growth phase (Keijser et al., 2007). The effects of salt stress on gene expression have been previously analyzed during germination and growth. However, the processing of tRNAs under these conditions has not been extensively studied. In this study we investigated the profile of tRNACys in B. subtilis spores and growth in the absence/presence of 1.2M NaCl.","PeriodicalId":194964,"journal":{"name":"Renewable Energy, Biomass & Sustainability","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133831734","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The methodology comprised recognition, evaluation, and control of elevated temperature conditions within the bakery. This study is descriptive and is developed as a quantitative investigation. The research population is made up of exposed workers in the bakery. The temperature evaluation was carried out according to the procedure established in point No. 9 of the standard, taking the temperatures with the help of a prototype measuring temperature and relative humidity (prepared at the Higher Technological Institute of Misantla) and a anemometer, obtaining a temperature index of 40.7 ° C, and given this result it has been concluded that the temperature index exceeds the Maximum Permissible Limits of exposure to high temperatures established by the standard, which becomes a threat for the health of Occupationally Exposed Personnel (POE).","PeriodicalId":194964,"journal":{"name":"Renewable Energy, Biomass & Sustainability","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127961187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge is an attractive option as it can produce fuels in the form of methane gas. However, the presence of complex organic compounds and pathogenic microorganisms significantly hinders the effectiveness of this process. The objective of this work is the selection of a source of inoculum free of pathogenic microorganisms by means of a thermal pretreatment and in this way is conducive to the treatment of residual sludge from the Citrus industry. The inoculum was taken from a geomembrane reactor which uses cattle manure as a substrate. 6 biodegradability kinetics were performed, varying the substrate-inoculum ratio, three of them with inoculum without pretreatment and another three with treatment, all under mesophilic conditions. SV parameters, pH, and biogas production were determined.","PeriodicalId":194964,"journal":{"name":"Renewable Energy, Biomass & Sustainability","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131589558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The case of study is microalgae cultures for biodiesel generation, where reaction rates, biomass concentration, intracellular quota and nitrogen concentration are critical variables that provide information about the state of the process. However, these variables might be difficult to measure due to the lack of specific instruments, high sensor costs or infeasibility of installation in the process. Therefore, two observer-based virtual sensors are presented in this paper as an analytical alternative to perform estimation of the main important variables or parameters of the process: a nonlinear adaptive observer and a nonlinear high-gain observer. The observers are based on the Droop´s mathematical model that describes the ability of microalgae to store nutrients and the decoupling between substrate uptake and biomass growth. Numerical simulations are made in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed observers.","PeriodicalId":194964,"journal":{"name":"Renewable Energy, Biomass & Sustainability","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122191863","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

La proporción predominante de los RSM corresponde a los residuos sólidos orgánicos o Biorresiduos que se definen como los residuos orgánicos biodegradables de origen vegetal y/o animal, susceptibles de degradarse biológicamente y que son generados en el ámbito domiciliario y comercial tal como lo planteó la Unión Europea en su directiva 2008/98/CE. Es así como Waste to Energy - WtE se convierte en un área prometedora para el posible aprovechamiento energético de los RSM a nivel mundial, ya que constituye un eslabón en las cadenas de suministro de producción y servicios ya que de acuerdo con los principios de economía circular es necesario mantener mayor tiempo los residuos generados dentro de la cadena con preferencia por las practicas como el reciclaje y el aprovechamiento. En la búsqueda por conocer las tendencias de avance de WtE como área de conocimiento, se utilizan procesos como la vigilancia tecnológica que se sustenta en disciplinas sistemáticas como lo son la bibliometría con el objetivo de establecer el estado de avance de un área de conocimiento determinada comenzando por establecer una ruta de búsqueda bibliográfica en bases de datos indexadas, donde se utiliza una ecuación de búsqueda compuesta por palabras clave complementada por conectores booleanos. Posteriormente, estas búsquedas se introducen en software especializados de código libre como lo son Vosviewer® y SciMAT® para facilitar el cálculo de los principales indicadores bibliométricos (relevancia de autores, temáticas y revistas destacadas) y finamente establecer mapas estratégicos de desarrollo de campos de investigación relacionados. Como resultado final se establece que existe un amplio interés en enfocarse en el área de las decisiones frente a la selección de tecnologías WtE aplicadas en el contexto de la biomasa o biorresiduos, incluyendo áreas de análisis técnico-económicas para la planeación urbana del tratamiento y aprovechamiento de los RSM alineados con los planes institucionales. \u0000","PeriodicalId":194964,"journal":{"name":"Renewable Energy, Biomass & Sustainability","volume":"114 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122516697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
