The process of obtaining SCR was studied, its main rheological properties and physico-mechanical characteristics of the samples were analyzed. It has been established that ACB based on quarry diatomite is characterized by a thixotropic rheological behavior, and ACB based on pre-heat-treated diatomite belongs to the thixotropic-dilatant type. Metal and ceramic materials have a number of unique properties, which, on the one hand, determine the prospects for their use in the construction of special engineering products, and on the other hand, cause a number of technological problems, without which the operation of such products is extremely difficult. It is shown that it is possible to obtain periclase-carbon castable containing up to 1 wt. % ground waste from the production of high-molecular graphite fiber. According to the results of the data study, it was found that with an increase in the carbon content from 1 to 5 %, the water demand of the mixture increases (from 6,25 to 10 %), which leads to a decrease in strength, density and an increase in the castable porosity. The reasons are the advanced wear of the lances in relation to the bottom lining, and the metalization of the capillaries / channels on the tuyeres with a slag-metal emulsion. The formation of the phase composition of ceramics during consolidation by spark plasma sintering has been studied. The thermal conductivity of ceramics based on REE zirconates at 400 °C is 1,79 W/(m·K), which is less than that of La2Zr2O7 ― 2,06 W/(m·K) and ZrO2‒8Y2O3 ― 2,4 W/(m·K). The Ti‒B layer was chosen with the following composition: TiB‒30 wt.% Ti (TiB), intermetallic layer ― 51,85Ti‒43Al‒4Nb‒1Mo‒0,15B at. %. 5 types of charge blanks with diameters of 12 and 25 mm were investigated (layers were selected, vol. %: 100 TiB, 100 TNM, 70 TiB / 30 TNM, 50 TiB / 50 TNM, 30 TiB / 70 TNM). Experimental rheological dependences of stress-strain are built for each type of powder blanks. On the obtained dependences, three areas of compaction are distinguished. The effect of the billet diameter on the degree of deformation and the stresses that arise in powder billets is shown. The chemical, phase composition and microstructure of kaolins of Kyshtymskoe and Glukhovetskoe deposits are investigated. It has been established that kaolin liquefaction ability is influenced both by the presence of smectite in kaolin and mainly by the degree of ordering of the kaolinite structure. A larger amount of kaolinite with a high-ordered structure ensures good kaolin liquefaction and stable properties of casting mixture based on them. The ambiguous influence of laser treatment parameters mode on the intensity of the ablation process was revealed. It was shown that structural modification nature is determined by parallel processes of fragmentation, melting and fusion of original ceramics grains and defective surface layer with the formation of new elements was established.
