Abstract

The main regularities of influence of two-coordinate pulsed laser treatment parameters on processes of ablation and structural modification of Al 2 O 3 ‒TiC ceramics were established. The ambiguous influence of laser treatment parameters mode on the intensity of the ablation process was revealed. It was shown that structural modification nature is determined by parallel processes of fragmentation, melting and fusion of original ceramics grains and defective surface layer with the formation of new elements was established. The influence of laser treatment parameters mode on nature of structural modification is manifested through the size and number of newly formed elements of surface structure.
