It is also known that totally edentulous patients have a preference for implant-supported fixed complete dentures. The present study aims to investigate the clinical, systemic and prevention parameters of patients with prosthetic protocol on dental implants. This is an observational and cross-sectional study that included a convenience sample of 18 patients with fixed complete dentures on dental implants. For data collection, a questionnaire with 13 closed questions was carried out through GoogleForms®, sent by email or through the WhatsApp® messaging application to patients. A total of 13 (72.2%) patients had periodontal disease involved in the loss of their teeth. 77.8% of those investigated were taking some medication, 61.1% had diabetes and 11.1% had diabetes and hypertension together. Most used only brushing or brushing with mouthwash (77.7%) and half (50%) never had their dentures maintained or cleaned at the dentist. It can be concluded that periodontal disease is a determining cause of tooth loss in patients who use prostheses protocol on implants. Materials and methods: A search was performed in the main databases that include the National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE-PubMed), ISI Web of Science and Scopus. Articles in English and Portuguese were collected in the last 20 years. Result: The success of ceramic laminates in the medium to long term was analyzed. Periodontal response in ceramic veneers ranged from acceptable to excellent and maintained their aesthetic characteristics, with high patient satisfaction. Ceramic laminates have a high survival rate, regardless of whether or not the preparation has incisal coverage. The main changes observed in relation to aesthetics are related to the change in the thickness of the ceramic and the shades of the cement used. Restoration thickness influences color and luminosity changes for conventional and light-curing dual cements. Conclusion: Therefore, ceramic veneers are a conservative treatment to restore the shape and color of anterior teeth. It is extremely important to know the differences in the chemical composition and quality of the ceramics that can be used.
