Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui laju pertumbuhan alat tangkap cantrang dan untuk mengetahui produktifitas perikanan tangkap di Kota Tegal Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling method. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 90% kapal di PPP Tegalsari merupakan kapal cantrang. Hasil tangkapan ikan dari tahun 2015-2017 menurun sebesar 30,11%. Ikan ekonomis seperti kakap merah (Lutjanus bitaeniatus), ikan lidah (Cynoglossus lingua), ikan pari (Dasyatis sp), rajungan (Portunus pelagicus) sulit ditemukan di Perairan Tegal. Zona penangkapan berubah dimana awalnya dilakukan di Kawasan Perairan Tegal saat penangkapan dilakukan hingga Kawasan perairan kalimantan. Tegal capture fisheries productivity is fluctuating. The aims of this research was to determained cantrang fishing gear and Tegal capture fisheries productivity. The descriptive method and purposive sampling method was applied in this research. The results showed that 90% of the ship at PPP Tegalsari ships was cantrang ships. Fish catch from 2015-2017 decreased by 30.11%. Economic fish like Lutjanus bitaeniatus , Cynoglossus lingua , Dasyatis sp and Portunus pelagicus hard to find at Tegal Water. Jika hal ini terus dilakukan, maka kelestarian sumberdaya dikhawatirkan akan semakin menurun. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan strategi agar usaha perikanan tangkap ramah lingkungan secara ekologi dengan cara mengidentifikasi alat tangkap berdasarkan kriteria Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis alat tangkap ramah lingkungan di PPI Celong berdasarkan Sembilan kriteria CCRF. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif mengenai alat penangkapan ikan yang ramah lingkungan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Celong pada bulan Desember 2017 dengan wawancara dan observasi lapangan. Responden diambil secara sensus sebanyak 121 orang. Hasil analisis ramah lingkungan menghasilkan skor 17,87 pada arad, 27,44 pada trammel net, dan 28,40 pada gill net. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah status alat tangkap arad tidak ramah lingkungan, trammel net ramah lingkungan, dan gill netsangat ramah lingkungan. Arad termasuk dalam kategori tidak ramah lingkungan karena cara pengoperasiannya yang tidak selektif dan merusak dasar perairan. Overfishing are increasingly prevalent in some Indonesian fishery areas due to the use of destructive fishing gear. If it continues, then the sustainability of resources feared will decrease further. Therefore a strategy is needed for eco-friendly fishery business by identifying fishing gear based on the criteria of Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF). The purpose of this research is to analyze the eco-friendly fishing gear at Celong Fishing gear based on Nine criteria of CCRF. The research method used is descriptive of eco-friendly fishing gear at Celong Fishing Port in December 2017 with interviews and observations. Respondents who were taken by census was 121 respondents. The results of eco-friendly analysis resulted in a score 17.87 for arad, 27.44 for trammel net, and 28.40 for gill net. The conclusions obtained from this research are arad status is not eco-friendly, trammel net is eco-friendly, and gill net is very eco-friendly. Kondisi kerja berkaitan dengan faktor seperti cahaya, suhu, asap, keamanan, kecelakaan, bising, debu, bau dan hal semacam itu yang mempengaruhi kinerja suatu pekerjaan atau kesejahteraan umum pekerja. Kecukupan akomodasi dan fasilitas nelayan di atas kapal merupakan salah satu upaya dalam keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. International Labour Organization (ILO) memberikan pedoman terkait akomodasi nelayan di atas kapal. Unit penangkapan purse seine merupakan unit penangkapan ikan paling banyak menggunakan tenaga kerja berkisar 30 sampai 40 orang. Salah satu kapal purse seine yang digunakan sebagai objek penelitian adalah KM Berkah Melimpah berukuran 167 GT. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengindentifikasi ketersediaan akomodasi KM Berkah Melimpah dan mengidentifikasi kesesuaian akomodasi berdasarkan pedoman Konvensi ILO Nomor 126 Tahun 1966 tentang Accommodation of Crews (Fishermen). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah semi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengamatan dan pengumpulan data yang diamati meliputi akomodasi apa saja yang ada di KM Berkah Melimpah serta kesesuaiannya terhadap pedoman ILO tentang Accommodation of Crews (Fishermen). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecukupan akomodasi KM Berkah Melimpah pada aspek sistem pengatur suhu di ruang akomodasi terpenuhi sebesar 20%, aspek ventilasi terpenuhi sebesar 57.14%, aspek pencahayaan dalam ruang akomodasi terpenuhi sebesar 83.33%, aspek kamar tidur terpenuhi sebesar 35.42%, aspek sanitasi terpenuhi sebesar 0%, aspek ruang dapur terpenuhi sebesar 50%, dan aspek fasilitas kesehatan terpenuhi sebesar 0%. Secara keseluruhan kesesuaian akomodasi pada KM Berkah Melimpah sebesar 35.13% dikategorikan buruk. Working comfort is influenced by work environment or working conditions and factors related to the work. Working conditions relate to factors such as light, temperature, smoke, safety, accidents, noise, dust, odors and such things that affect a work performance or the general welfare of workers. Accommodation adequacy and fishing facilities on board is one of the efforts in occupational safety and health. The International Labour Organization (ILO) provides guidance regarding fishermen accommodation on board. The purse seine fishing unit is the fishing unit that using most labour in the range of 30 to 40 people. One of the purse seine vessels, KM Berkah Melimpah, was used as the object in this research. The purpose of this study was to identify the availability of KM Berkah Melimpah accommodation and to identify accommodation suitability based on ILO Convention No. 126 of 1966 on Accommodation of Crews (Fishermen). Kajian pola sebaran, indikator kualitas lingkungan dan ekologi komunitas mangrove Pulau Tunda dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2014 dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pola sebaran, indikator kualitas lingkungan dan ekologi komunitas mangrovenya. Sampel mangrove diambil menggunakan transek garis dan plot yang ditarik dari titik acuan (tegakan mangrove terluar) serta tegak lurus garis pantai sampai ke daratan. Kemudian transek garis tersebut dibuat petak-petak contoh (plot) yang berukuran 10 x 10 m2 untuk kategori pohon dan di dalam ukuran 10 x 10 m2 dibuat plot berukuran 1 x 1 m2 untuk kategori semai. Pola penyebaran mangrove Pulau Tunda dianalisis berdasarkan indeks Morisita. Sementara kualitas lingkungan hutan mangrove dianalisis menggunakan tutupan pohon, tutupan semai dan jumlah jenis semai yang ditemukan. Kemudian ekologi komunitas mangrove Pulau Tunda dianalisis berdasarkan indeks keanekaragaman, dominansi dan keseragaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola penyebaran mangrove Pulau Tunda tergolong beraturan (regular), dimana terjadi interaksi negatif antar individu dalam memperebutkan ruang, unsur hara maupun cahaya matahari. Selain itu, kondisi hutan mangrove Pulau Tunda masih tergolong baik dengan tingkat kualitas lingkungan vegetasi mangrove 73.74%, keanekaragaman dan dominansi mangrovenya tergolong rendah (1.20 dan 0.52) dan keseragamannya tergolong labil (0.60). Mangrove ecosystems are found throughout the coast and small islands of Indonesia which are affected by tides. Distribution pattern studies, environmental quality indicators and the ecological mangrove community of Tunda Island were carried out in January 2014 with the aim to determine distribution patterns, indicators of environmental quality and ecology of the mangroves community. Mangrove samples were taken using line transects and plots drawn from reference points (outer mangrove stands) and perpendicular to the coastline to the mainland. The line transect is made of plots of sample size 10 x 10 m2 for the category of trees and in a size of 10 x 10 m2 a plot of 1 x 1 m2 is made in the seedling category. The pattern of distribution of mangroves of Tunda Island was analyzed based on the Morisita index. While the environmental quality of mangrove forests was analyzed using tree cover, seedling cover and number of seedlings found. The ecology of the Tunda Island mangrove forest community was analyzed based on the diversity index, dominance and uniformity. The results showed that the pattern of mangrove distribution of Tunda Island was regular, where there was a negative interaction between individuals in fighting over space, nutrients and sunlight. Perairan ini telah dipengaruhi oleh berbagai aktivitas manusia yang menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan kualitas perairan. Bakteri Coliform merupakan bakteri gram negatif yang berbentuk batang dan tidak membentuk spora. Bakteri ini merupakan bakteri indikator terjadinya pencemaran perairan maupun indikator keberadaan bakteri patogen lainnya. Perhitungan total bakteri Coliform perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui adanya pencemaran limbah organik yang terjadi di Perairan Muara Sungai Sayung, Morosari, Demak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelimpahan total bakteri Coliform, dan status perairan di Perairan Muara Sungai Sayung, Morosari, Demak. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dari jumlah total bakteri Coliform dengan bahan organik terlarut dan oksigen terlarut (DO). Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode random sampling yang dilakukan pada lima stasiun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelimpahan rata-rata total bakteri Coliform yang diperoleh berkisar antara 4 x 103 – 550 x 10 3/100ml. Kelimpahan rata-rata total bakteri Coliform yang diperoleh pada setiap stasiun menunjukkan bahwa kandungan total bakteri Coliform telah melebihi baku mutu air menurut Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 51 Tahun 2004. Keberadaan total bakteri Coliform memiliki hubungan yang lemah dengan kandungan bahan organik terlarut, sedangkan keberadaan total bakteri Coliform memiliki hubungan yang cukup dengan oksigen terlarut (DO) di perairan Muara Sungai Sayung Morosari, Demak. Sayung River Estuary is located in the western part of Demak Regency. This estuary has been affected by various human activities which have led to a decline in water quality. Coliform bacteria are a gram-negative bacteria that are rod-shaped and do not form spores. This bacterium is an indicator bacteria of water pollution and an indicator of the presence of other pathogenic bacteria. Total Coliform bacteria calculation needs to be carrid out to find out if there any contamination of organic waste in Sayung River Estuary, Morosari, Demak.. The purpose of this research was to determine total abundance of Coliform bacteria, water quality in Sayung River Estuary, Morosari, Demak and relationship between the total abundance of Coliform bacteria with dissolved organic matter and dissolved oxygen (DO). Bagan perahu menarik ikan target tangkapan yaitu ikan pelagis kecil fototaksis positif menggunakan atraktor cahaya berupa lampu. Salah satu kendala nelayan bagan perahu adalah pencahayaan lampu mengalami pembiasan. Penggunaan lampu bawah air bertujuan untuk mengurangi pembiasan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan lampu bawah air terhadap hasil tangkapan bagan perahu dan mengetahui komposisi hasil tangkapan bagan perahu dengan dan tanpa lampu bawah air. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 10 trip menggunakan metode experimental fishing. Selisih berat total hasil tangkapan antara bagan perahu dengan dan tanpa lampu bawah air pada trip 1 sebesar 33,4 kg, trip 2 sebesar 38,9 kg, trip 3 sebesar 31,1 kg, trip 4 sebesar 41,1 kg, trip 5 sebesar 28,8 kg, trip 6 sebesar 30,5 kg, trip 7 sebesar 35,4 kg, trip 8 sebesar 34,3 kg, trip 9 sebesar 38,7 kg dan trip 10 sebesar 31,6 kg sehingga menunjukkan hasil tangkapan lebih banyak bagan perahu dengan lampu bawah air. Hasil tangkapan utama bagan perahu adalah ikan Teri (Stolephorus sp.) dan Cumi-cumi (Loligo sp.). Hasil tangkapan sampingan bagan perahu antara lain ikan Petek (Leiognathus sp.), Tembang (Sardinella sp.), Lemuru (Amblygaster sirm), Selar Kuning (Selaroides leptolepi) dan Layur (Lepturacanthus savala). Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil yaitu terdapat pengaruh antara lampu bawah air dengan hasil tangkapan pada bagan perahu. Boat lift net is one type of fishing gear at PPN Karangantu which operates at night. Boat lift net attracts the target catch fish, the small pelagic fish is positive phototaxis using a light attractor in the form of a lamp. One of the constraints of fishermen on the boat chart is that the lighting has experienced refraction. Underwater lamp aims to reduce refraction.The purpose of this research is to know the effect of underwater lamp usage on boat lift net fishing catch and to know the composition of boat lift net with and without using underwater lamp. This research was conducted for 10 trips using experimental fishing methods. The difference in total catch of boat lift net with and without underwater lamp on trip 1 is 33,4 kg, trip 2 is 38,9 kg, trip 3 is 31,1 kg, trip 4 is 41,1 kg, trip 5 is 28,8 kg, trip 6 is 30,5 kg, trip 7 is 35,4 kg, trip 8 is 34,3 kg, trip 9 is 38,7 kg and trip 10 is 31,6 kg so it shows the catch is more the boat lift net with underwater lamp. Fish targets of the boat lift net are Anchovy (Stolephorus sp.) and Cuttlefish (Loligo sp.). The bycatches of boat lift net are Pony fish (Leiognathus sp.), Fringescale sardinella (Sardinella sp.), Indian sardinella (Amblygaster sirm), Trevally (Selaroides leptolepi) and Hairtail fish (Lepturacanthus savala). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan dan pola sebaran undur-undur laut sebagai dasar pemilihan daerah penangkapan undur-undur laut dan hubungan salinitas substrat dengan kelimpahan undur-undur laut yang ada di pantai Pagak, Kabupaten Purworejo. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2018. Pengambilan sampel biota dan substrat dilakukan pada tiga stasiun dimana setiap stasiun dilakukan tiga kali pengulangan pada hari yang berbeda. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelimpahan undur-undur laut (hippidae) di pantai Pagak berkisar 2-4 individu/m2 dengan pola sebaran yang mengelompok. Kelimpahan tersebut cenderung lebih tinggi pada salinitas substrat kisaran 33-35 ppt. Salinitas substrat berpengaruh terhadap kelimpahan undur-undur laut (hippidae) di pantai Pagak dan keduanya mempunyai hubungan yang lemah (r = 0,371). Southern coast of Java, especially Pagak beach, Purworejo Regency is a potential area with various types of biota that are often used by local people as food. One of the biota is mole crab that is useful ecologically and economically, while the existing utilization is not yet optimal and sustainable. The purpose of this research is to know the abundance and distribution pattern of mole crab as the basis for the selection of good and sustainable fishing areas of mole crab, and the relationship between substrate salinity and the abundance of mole crab at Pagak beach, Purworejo Regency. The study was conducted in January 2018. Samples collection of biota and substrate were conducted at three stations where each station was carried out with three replication on different days. Purposive sampling technique was used to take the sample. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menentukan nilai konsentrasi adalah analisis probit. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan selang kepercayaan 95%. Hasil analisis probit uji LC50-96 jam nilai yang didapat yaitu 93,97 ppm, dan analisis probit pada uji EC50-1 jam yaitu 61,40 ppm. Uji transportasi menunjukan nilai kelangsungan hidup tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan 1 jam dengan nilai rata-rata mencapai 91,1%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perbedaan waktu berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup benih nila merah. The Flower kenanga (Cananga odorata) contains euganolic substances that have trait anesthetic, therefore potentially as anesthesia for fish transportation. This research is intended to identify the effects of the transport duration towards the survival rate of seed red tilapia using a transportation simulation. The scientific method used in this research to determine the level of concentration used probit analysis. The design that was used was the complete random design (RAL) with a confidence interval of 95%. The analysis result of test probit LC50-96 hours was 93,97 ppm, and the analysis result of test probit EC50-1 hour was 61,40 ppm. The transportation test showed that the highest life sustainability was achieved during the 1-hour test with an average value of 91,1%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesuburan perairan dan hubungan antara kelimpahan fitoplankton dengan konsentrasi klorofil-a. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan November dan Desember 2017. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian analisis deskriptif dan penentuan lokasi sampling menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel air dan fitoplankton dilakukan di tiga stasiun yang ditentukan berdasarkan tinggi rendahnya kegiatan manusia. Pengambilan sampel tersebut dilakukan pada saat kondisi pasang dan surut dengan dua kali pengulangan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa kelimpahan fitoplankton pada saat pasang dan surut berkisar antara 6.375 – 13.725 sel/l dan konsentrasi klorofil-a pada saat pasang dan surut berkisar antara 0,126 – 1,392 mg/m3. Nilai diatom quotient sebesar 1,533 yang berarti perairan yang diteliti termasuk ke dalam kategori perairan eutrofik. Kelimpahan fitoplankton dan konsentrasi klorofil-a pada saat pasang lebih tinggi daripada saat surut. Keduanya mempunyai hubungan yang sangat erat. Ujung Kartini Waters is part of the estuary of the Wiso River and Kanal River which are located on the west side of Jepara Regency. In the surrounding area, there are human activities that are feared to cause changes in water quality, especially nutrient content. Changes in nutrients content in the waters will have impact on the distribution and abundance of phytoplankton and concentration of chlorophyll-a. This study aims to determine the level of aquatic productivity and the relationship between phytoplankton abundance with chlorophyll-a concentration. The study was conducted from November to December 2017. This research includes descriptive analysis and determination of sampling location using purposive sampling method. Samples of water and phytoplankton were collected at three stations based on the level of human activity. Sampling was carried out during high tide and low tide with two repetitions. Based on the results of the research, the abundance of phytoplankton at high and low tides ranged between 6.375 - 13.725 cells/l and chlorophyll-a concentrations at high and low tides ranged between 0,126 – 1,392 mg/m3. The value of diatom quotient is 1,533 which means that the waters of study area belong to the eutrophic category. The abundance of phytoplankton and concentrations of chlorophyll-a at high tide is higher than at low tide. Mengingat cara budidaya ikan yang dilakukan di Kota Kupang adalah dengan padat tebar tinggi dan tanpa pergantian air, maka dapat menyebabkan kualitas media air menjadi buruk karena adanya dekomposisi dari hasil sisa pakan sehingga memungkinkan perkembangbiakan mikroba patogen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran histopatologi pada organ insang, hati dan usus ikan lele di Kota Kupang. Ikan lele sebanyak 100 ekor yang diambil dari Pasar Oeba kemudian diukur berat dan panjang serta diamati kondisi morfologinya. Organ insang, hati dan usus diambil dan dilakukan fiksasi menggunakan larutan formalin 4%. Preparasi histopatologi dan analisisnya dilakukan di laboratorium. Spesimen diwarnai dengan menggunakan hematoxylin dan eosin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya abnormalitas dan kerusakan jaringan pada organ-organ tersebut. Abnormalitas yang terjadi adalah adanya sungut patah, sirip dada panjang sebelah, sirip perut besar sebelah, jumlah sirip dada dan perut hanya satu, ukuran hati kecil, hati terdapat bercak kuning, hati berumbai dan pucat. Kerusakan jaringan organ insang yang terjadi adalah telangeaktasis, nekrosis, edema, hiperplasia, perhimpitan lamela sekunder, fusi, hemoragi, kongesti dan jaringan yang lepas. Sedangkan pada hati adalah fibrosis, hemoragi, kongesti, terbentuknya vakuola-vakuola, adanya degerasi lemak, kumpulan makrofag yang ditandai dengan adanya MMC, hiperplasi, piknotik dan nekrosis. Dan pada usus adalah nekrosis, edema dan hemoragi. The enhancement of freshwater fish consumption in Kota Kupang has stimulated fish farmer to increase their production. The cultivation’s system of fish conducted in Kota Kupang is carried out with high density and whithout water circulation wich decreases water quality caused leftover feed decomposition so as that possible to pathogenic microbes breeding. The aim of this research was observe the description of gill, liver and gut’s histopathology of Catfish in Kota Kupang. One hundred Catfish was taken from Oeba Market which be measured the weight, length and observation of morphological condition. Gills, liver and gut was taken and fixatived with 4% of formalin. Histopathological preparation and their analysis was done in laboratory. The specimens were stained with hematoxylin and eosin. The result of this research showed abnormalities and tissue damage on the organs. The abnormalities showed the presence of flesh grows near the reproductive organ, the size of pectoral vins and ventral vins were not same, only one was pectoral vins and ventral vins, small liver, yellow liver, tassel-shaped and pale liver.
