The country's agricultural and edaphic potential were taken into account on one hand, and the negative consequences determined by years long application of classical technology which contributes in the long run to the enhancement of degradation processes of fine textured soils through compaction, cleaving, and waterlogging on the other. In the Traian Administration and Territorial Unit (ATU) a pronounced soils settlement process was noted due to ploughing execution at the same depth and equipment passage on the soil in inappropriate conditions. In the Mavrodin ATU the soils have a high clay content which favors soil compaction and waterproofing raising issues of air capacity. Rape crop output was 3,700 kg/ha on the Calcic Chernozem of the Traian ATU, and 3,000 kg/ha on the Mavrodin Chromic Luvisol in the same soil works system. These soils suitability for soil minimum tillage is low due to specific intrinsically characteristics. Preserving soil covered with vegetation for an as long as possible period is recommended.","PeriodicalId":192852,"journal":{"name":"\"Annals of the University of Craiova - Agriculture Montanology Cadastre Series \"","volume":"10 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139155716","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The observations were made during 2022-2023 at SCDCPN Dăbuleni. The climatic conditions at SCDCPN Dăbuleni were favorable for the development of the watermelon culture. The experiment was located on a sandy soil, according to the method of randomized blocks in 4 repetitions. The following observations and determinations were made: the soil content in total nitrogen, extractable phosphorus, exchangeable potassium, organic carbon, pH; the biochemical content of the fruits: total dry matter, water, dry soluble substance, simple soluble carbohydrates, titratable acidity and vitamin C. The soil content in total nitrogen and exchangeable potassium was reduced, and in extractable phosphorus it was normal. Organic carbon showed values between 0.37%-0.56%, the state of soil supply being reduced towards the middle. The pH of the soil on which the experiment was placed oscillated between 7.1 and 7.12, indicating a neutral soil reaction. Cultivation technology specific to sandy soils was applied. The varieties Dulce de Dăbuleni and Oltenia stood out for the amount of vitamin C contained, while the De Dăbuleni variety had the lowest content in vitamin C (8.8 mg/100 g fresh substance). The content in soluble carbohydrates varied between 7.74% in the Oltenia variety and 10.49% in the Dulce de Dăbuleni variety.","PeriodicalId":192852,"journal":{"name":"\"Annals of the University of Craiova - Agriculture Montanology Cadastre Series \"","volume":"80 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139154990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study investigates the influence of climate change on the irrigation needs of apple, pear, and plum crops in two fruit-growing districts in western Serbia, specifically in the Kolubara and Morava districts. This research aims to provide valuable insights for farmers to plan and adapt their production strategies in response to evolving climate conditions. To estimate the water requirements, crop evapotranspiration (ETc), effective rainfall (Pe), and water deficit (In) were determined using historical climate data from meteorological stations in Valjevo (Kolubara district) and Požega (Morava district) for the observed period (1961 - 2021). For projecting future water requirements (2021 - 2040), we employed data from eight regional climate models within the EURO – CORDEX project. The analysis of water requirements for apple, pear, and plum was conducted for both grassed and non-grassed orchards. In the Kolubara district, the average seasonal water deficit during the observed period was 356 mm in grassed orchards and 191 mm in non-grassed orchards, with the most significant irrigation requirements occurring in July and August, representing 60 - 70% of the seasonal water requirement. Looking ahead to the future period (2021 - 2040), the average water deficit increases to 401 mm in grassed orchards and 202 mm in non-grassed orchards, marking a 13% and 6% rise, respectively, compared to the observed period. This signifies a need for 1 to 2 additional irrigation sessions. In the Morava district, the average seasonal water deficit during the observed period was 403 mm in grassed orchards and 236 mm in non-grassed orchards, with the highest irrigation requirements in June, July, and August, accounting for 80 - 90% of the seasonal water requirement. Due to an anticipated increase in total precipitation in the future period (2021 - 2040) in the Morava district, there is a decrease in the seasonal water deficit by 3% in grassed orchards and 16% in non-grassed orchards. However, even with reduced water requirements in the future, there remains a significant requirement for irrigation in May, June, July, and August when rainfall is limited.","PeriodicalId":192852,"journal":{"name":"\"Annals of the University of Craiova - Agriculture Montanology Cadastre Series \"","volume":"46 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139155842","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Black tea is a stimulant because it contains active substances that act on the central nervous system, the circulatory system and has a diuretic action. The antioxidants found in this type of tea neutralize oxygen free radicals, which attack the body's cells and degrade their functioning. Black tea is a \"living food\", with an extremely valuable chemical composition, in a continuous biodynamics, with the ability to change concentrations in nanoseconds. In these types of foods, the activity of enzymes such as oxidoreductases, which have NAD- (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) or FMN- (Flavin mononucleotide) dependent coenzymes is very important in this biodynamics. To enhance the sensory qualities of black tea, the main food additives used are natural and synthetic sweeteners. Molecular absorption spectra of the proposed experimental variants were obtained using a T92 Plus UV-VIS spectrophotometer manufactured by PG Instruments U.K.The spectrophotometer was set up to work at a wavelength bandwidth of 1cm and record molecular absorption values from nanometre to nanometre in both the UV range (190-400 nm) and the visible range (400-700 nm)","PeriodicalId":192852,"journal":{"name":"\"Annals of the University of Craiova - Agriculture Montanology Cadastre Series \"","volume":"21 45","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139156066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A major contribution is made by the adaptability of varieties to specific growing conditions. The varieties Vrâncean and Crișana 2 showed very well developed roots at a depth of 40 cm, the roots absorbing soil fertilizers better, an aspect that helps the growth and development of the trees. We found a higher percentage of roots in Mocănești varieties 16 - 24.8%, Schattenmorelle - 22.5% and Vrâncean - 21.8%. The Rival variety stands out with a slightly shallower root system, however, the rooting depth as well as the way of branching is a genetic characteristic.
