A tapered pillar was fabricated using UV-curable resin by a 405 nm laser beam irradiated from a high-NA (HiNA) fiber with a spot size of $4.1 mu mathrm{m}$ at a wavelength of $1.55 mu mathrm{m}$. A coupling efficiency of approximately 60% was obtained between the SMF and a similar HiNA fiber during the fabrication of the taper pillar.","PeriodicalId":191859,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CPMT Symposium Japan (ICSJ)","volume":"66 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120929089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, due to the limited penetration of light in skin tissue with the presence of melanin, safe and effective photothermal therapy using laser becomes challenging when the photon interacts with other biomolecule before reaching the target. Therefore, we proposed an Optical Microneedle Lens Array (OMLA) coated with gold to improve photothermal therapy efficiency. This device plays a role of light guiding so that it can deliver photon at target precisely.","PeriodicalId":191859,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CPMT Symposium Japan (ICSJ)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124811152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent challenging issues include providing users with non-invasive and easy-to-use diagnostic devices and identifying the infected to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as quick as possible. In this study, a new COVID-19 diagnostic device that integrates porous microneedles (MNs) with a paper-based immunoassay biosensor was developed for the rapid antibody detection. The biodegradable porous MNs made of polylactic acid (PLA) were fabricated and used to extract the interstitial fluid (ISF) in the human skin by capillary effect. The extracted ISF was flowed into the immunoassay biosensor, which results in the detection of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies on site. From In vitro tests, the result demonstrated that human anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM and IgG could be detected within 2 min. It is expected that COVID-19 can be diagnosed fast and painlessly owing to the porous MNs as well as a paper sensor with the short flow distance between MNs and a sensor. Besides COVID-19, the proposed device has great potential in the fast screening of various kinds of infectious diseases as an effective complementary method with other diagnostic tests.","PeriodicalId":191859,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CPMT Symposium Japan (ICSJ)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124634962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The electrical behavior depends on mechanical properties of the elastomer substrates. Electrical resistivity of the wires can increase during unloading as well as during loading. Deformation of conducting contacts between fillers during unloading governed the increase in electrical resistivity during the cyclic tensile test. However, the DUT for the evaluation, such as an ESD protection device, may be affected by the transmission line's characteristic impedance. This paper adds an impedance matching circuit to the conventional $50 Omega$ TLP system, making it possible to adjust the circuit to an arbitrary value of the transmission line's characteristic impedance. By using the developed system, the I-V characteristics of an ESD protection device are evaluated when the characteristic impedance is $20 Omega, 50 Omega$, and $150 Omega$. As a result, it was found that the negative resistance characteristics after the breakdown voltage change depending on the transmission line's characteristic impedance.","PeriodicalId":191859,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CPMT Symposium Japan (ICSJ)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128907372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, 56 Gbps (28 Gbaud PAM4) interfaces have already been deployed for commercial use, and 112 Gbps (56 Gbaud PAM4) signals have begun to be discussed by several standard development organizations. With increase in the bitrate, technologies for accurately analyzing the effects of the surface treatment of transmission lines on printed circuit boards are becoming more important. This is due to the fact that at high frequencies, the skin effect, in which the current concentrates on the surface of the pattern, becomes relatively significant. This study fabricated test boards for measuring transmission lines with three types of surface treatments, which were plated with only Cu foil, ENEPIG, and IGEPIG. The transmission lines were measured using a VNA and high-frequency probes. The validity of results was confirmed using an electromagnetic field simulator based on the finite-difference time-domain method.","PeriodicalId":191859,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE CPMT Symposium Japan (ICSJ)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114378508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
