Gorme engelli cocuk- larda otizm benzeri belirtiler de bildirilmistir. Bu olgu sunu- munda konjenital bilateral gorme kaybi olan 10 yasindaki bir kizda yuksek fonksiyonlu otizm semptomlarinin klinik gorun- tusu ve psikotrop ilaclarin kullanimi ile ilgili deneyimler tartisilacaktir. Behavioral problems are commonly encountered in children and adolescents with congenital visual impairment. Autism- like symptoms were also reported in visually impaired chil- dren. Yumusak doku enfeksiyonlari ile benzer etiyoloji gosterme- sine karsin ozellikle immunsupressif ve diabetli hastalarda hastalik cok daha hizli seyir gostererek mortal seyreder. Hastaligin tedavisinde ana unsurlar erken tani, erken cerra- hi debritman ve uygun antibiyoterapidir. Bu calisma predis- pozan faktor olarak insan immun yetmezlik virusu (HIV) pozitifligi olan bir hastada iskiorektal apse drenaji sonrasin- da Fournier gangreni gelisimini aktarmak ve bu hastalarda erken cerrahi debritmanin gerekliligini vurgulamak amac- lanmistir. Fournier's gangrene mainly seen in men is rapidly progressi- ve necrotizing fasciitis and has a high mortality rate. Altho- ugh the etiology of Fournier's gangrene is similar to the show soft tissue infections, the disease especially could be morta- lity in patients with immunosuppressive and diabetes. The main factors in treatment of the disease are early diagnosis, surgical debridement and appropriate antibiotics. Of all 95% of laryngeal cancers are squamous cell carcinomas (2,3). At the time of diagnosis 51% of cases have local spread and 29% of them have regional spread and 15% of them have distant metastases (1). Although laryngeal cancer often invades regional lymph nodes, it can also metastasize to distant areas such as lung, liver, mediastinum and bone. Hastanin noro-oftalmik muayenesinde, izole bilateral okulomotor sinir paralizisi mevcuttu. Kan tahlilleri ve nororadyolojik goruntulemesi normal sinirlarda idi. Lomber ponksiyonda bir ozellikle saptanmadi. Laboratuvar ve elektrofizyolojik sonuclara gore olasi myastenik bir etyoloji dislandi. Bu bulgularla hastamizda, kronik hipertansiyona sekonder iskemik kraniyal noropati gelistigi kabul edildi. Cranial nerve palsies are frequently encountered in the course of systemic diseases. However, the third cranial (oculomotor) nerve palsy secondary to hypertension is very rare. A 72-year-old woman presented with a complaint of proptosis of the eyes bilaterally. In her neuro-ophthalmic examination, isolated bilateral oculomotor nerve palsy was detected. Blood tests and neuroradiological imaging were within normal limits. A lumbar puncture was non-specific. Regarding laboratory and electrophysiological results, the possible myasthenic etiology was excluded. Method: A total of 55 patients who had positive brucella tube agglutination tests were included in the study. The computerized laboratory database records were reviewed for the following data and recorded: Age and gender of the patients, brucella tube agglutination tests, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C- reactive protein, erythrocyte parameters. Results: Mean age of the patients was 45.4 ± 18.1 years with a female/male ratio of 25/30. Post-treatment hemoglobin, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular hemoglobin and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration values were significantly higher than the pre-treatment values.
