Koroner arter hastalığının dışlanmasında ya da varsa koroner arter lezyonlarının yaygınlığının, ciddiyetinin, hemodinamik öneminin belirlenmesinde ve buna bağlı olarak revaskülarizasyon stratejilerine kılavuzluk etmede miyokardiyal perfüzyonun değerlendirmesi önem taşımaktadır. Stres kardiyak MR perfüzyon görüntüleme, iyonizan radyasyon içermemesi, yüksek temporal ve uzaysal çözünürlüğe sahip olması, subendokardiyal perfüzyonun değerlendirilmesini mümkün kılması ve noninvazif bir modalite olması sebebiyle miyokardiyal perfüzyonun değerlendirmesinde tercih edilmektedir. Coronary artery disease (CAD) is one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality. The evaluation of myocardial perfusion is important for excluding CAD. In the presence of CAD, it is crucial in determining the extent, severity, and haemodynamic importance of the lesions and deciding for appropriate revascularization strategies. Yontem: Ankilozan spondilit tanili 40 hasta ve 30 saglikli gonullu calismaya dahil edildi. Tum veriler yatan ve polik- linik hasta kayit veritabanindan elde edildi. Tum olgularin Bath Ankilozan Spondilit Hastalik Aktivite Indeksi (BAS- DAI), tam kan sayimi (TKS), CRP ve ESH'i da kapsiyan ayrin- tili fizik muayene ve laboratuvar bulgulari kaydedildi. Lenfosit ve notrofil sayisi otomatik TKS'nin bir parcasi olarak olculdu. Bulgular: Akut- faz reaktani olan CRP ve ESH kontrol gru- buna gore hasta grubunda anlamli olarak daha yuksekti (p 0.05). Sonuc: Bu calismada NLO duzeylerinin AS hastalarinda saglikli bireylere gore anlamli olarak yuksek olmadigi goruldu. Bu sonuc NLO'nun AS hastalarinda sistemik inf- lamasyonu degerlendirmede uygun bir olcu birimi olmadi- gini gotermektedir. Bizim elde ettigimiz bu on sonuclarin daha ileri calismalarla tamamlanmasi gerektigine inaniyo- ruz. Objective: The purpose of the present study is to determine the association between neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and inflammation in ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Method: Forty patients with ankylosing spondylitis and 30 healthy volunteers were included in the study. All data were obtained from patient registry database from in-patient and out-patient clinics. Detailed physical examination, and Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI) were recorded. Complete blood count (CBC), CRP and ESR were performed recorded as laboratory tests in all participants. Lymphocyte and neutrophil counts were measured as part of the automated CBC. Results: The CRP, which is an acute-phase reactant, and ESR were significantly higher in the patient group than those in the control group (p0.05). Conclusion: We observed that NLR levels weren't significantly higher in AS patients compared to healthy individuals. NLR hasn't seem a reasonable measure to detect systemic inflam- mation in AS patients. Yontem: Calismaya 30 erkek, 30 kadin olmak uzere 60 saglikli (yas araligi 20-50) olgu alindi. Okuler aberasyonlar 60 saglikli olgunun 60 gozunde olculdu. Olgular tropikamid damlatilmadan once ve sonra olmak uzere iki gruba ayril- di. Yas ve cinsiyetin yuksek sirali ve sferik aberasyon de- gerlerine etkisi incelendi. Olgularin okuler aberasyon ve pupil capi olcumleri Nidek OPD SCAN cihazi ile yapildi. Bulgular: Dilatasyon sonrasi yuksek sirali aberasyon deger- leri dilatasyon oncesi degerlere gore anlamli derecede yuksek bulundu (p 0.05). Yirmi bes yas alti (n=28) ve ustu (n=32) olgularin dilatasyon oncesi ve sonrasi sferik ve yuksek sirali aberas- yon degerleri karsilastirildiginda anlamli fark tespit edil- medi (p>0.05). Sonuc: Pupil buyuklugu yuksek sirali ve sferik aberasyonla- ri artirir. Objective: To investigate the effect of pupil size on ocular aberrations. Method: Sixty healthy subjects (30 male and 30 female) were enrolled the study. Age range varies 20 to 50 years. The subjects were given tropicamide drops for mydriasis. Aberrations were measured before and after the mydriasis. The effect of age and gender on spherical aberration values was investigated. Ocular aberrations and pupil size measu- rements of the subjects were performed by Nidek OPD scan. Results: High order aberrations values after the dilatation were significantly higher than the values obtained before the dilatation (p 0.05). When high order and spherical aberrations of the subjects who were below and older than 25 years old compared, there was no signifi- cant difference (p>0.05).
