However, often the students are not aware about their skill levels that are considered as the industry readiness parameters. The Institutions often take care of the students to upgrade the skill level to meet the requirement of the Industry. In order to analyze the students based on the several parameters of industry readiness intelligent methods are required to assess them. In this research work, different classification methods are applied on the existing placement data to evaluate whether a student will get a job or not. Accuracies of these methods are compared using a real life data set. This analysis will help the Institutes to take the decision how long the training programs will continue. The result of the classification methods have been improved further using Random oversampling.","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117208393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system can be attached to a mobile robot, and obstacle detection can be taken in real time while moving. Conventional obstacle detection methods are widely used such as using ultrasonic sensors to detect the presence or absence of obstacles by transmitting ultrasonic waves from a transmitter and receiving the ultrasonic waves reflected by an object at the receiver. Also obstacle detection method using LiDAR uses remote sensing technology to detect obstacles and measure distances. Our proposed method is a different obstacle detection method that can detect obstacles surrounding with large range easily. We show the system construction by use of a circle line laser and fisheye camera and obstacle detection experimental results.","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114407809","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research were applied to elementary school students as well as university students. From the relationship between the number of “run” or “execute” and processing time of programming learning, we have extracted the learning characterization of students. As a result, it was found that each student has each characterization for learning process, and students with many “run” or “execute” have achieved the goal in the short period. These results indicate that student log analysis is very useful method to evaluate the programing learning..","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124463035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With growing class sizes and the modernization of the internet, there have been more ways that allow plagiarism to excel in modern culture. Methods such as patchwriting – where an individual may copy, paste and possibly modify the content – and commissioned writing – where an individual hires another person to do the work for them – are not considered by modern plagiarism detectors. This work aims to give instructors a way to identify and detect plagiarism in student writing that addresses these difficult-to-detect issues using artificial intelligence. We introduce a tool to aid instructors in detecting plagiarism that adapts to each students’ individual writing style as they submit writing assignments. This work incorporates artificial intelligence and natural language processing that identifies the ways in which a student writes based on a collection of their essays. The proposed Authorship Verification for Hired Plagiarism Detection (AVHPD) tool includes document storage, a clean user interface, and intuitive break-downs of how a given writing sample differs from prior samples.","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134148754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We believe that stratifying software files based on size can play an essential role in improving prediction performance. This study explored the effect of size by stratifying our sample based on each unit’s size and distributing software units in multiple stratified groups based on an equal distribution approach. We stratified the Eclipse Europa project files, and we reported the performance of each stratified group and compared them. We used two popular classifiers, decision tree J48, and random forest, to implement this experiment. These classifiers presented similar results on the same group of files. The results indicated that predicting faults with large files is better than predicting those in small files. In addition, the results showed higher median values of all performance measures and less variation in each measure.","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116435403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consumers are increasingly engaged in online shopping due to its operational flexibility, huge product search space and diversified products. In this virtual marketplace, consumers make the purchase decision not only based on product specifications given by the seller but also considers the product reviews given by the peer customers. On the other hand, inconsistent reviews make the consumers confused and thus have a negative impact on the overall sales of a business entity. Therefore, identifying the reviewers giving precise and consistent opinions about the products is important for business organizations. In this work, a novel methodology is suggested to classify reviewers into different categories based on the preciseness of the reviews. Business entities can utilize the precise reviewers for getting genuine product feedback and encourage this group to promote their products resulting in increased business growth.","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114749268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As part of THURSDAY’s key innovations, users are given the opportunity to configure and run multiple machine learning models. The results of these model executions can then be compared with built-in performance metrics. Finally, THURSDAY allows users to analyze hyperparameter changes, as well as the changes created by AutoML libraries, in order to provide a vital tool that aids in the revision of existing models. To meet the high volume demands of machine learning, THURDAY adopted a microservice-based design pattern that supports containerization, orchestration, and scalabability. In this paper, the design, implementation, and impact of the THURSDAY system is explored in detail. In order to evaluate the capability of THURSDAY, its core functionality is compared against similar platforms that provide machine learning support.","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123821949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We use the gesture picture of a participant through any web meeting system such as the zoom system to control the shared camera by any provider using shared screen. As an example, we construct the system using the general zoom system and two programs that are gesture recognition by capturing the participant window picture and camera control according the command of gesture to share the camera movies using zoom sharing screen. There is nothing special to purchase on the participant side, and no need to create an account for the cloud server, just install the above two programs on the PC of camera provider. This study therefore seeks to investigate the extent of social media adoption among University of Botswana (UB) first year students. The study adapted a questionnaire that has been developed and tested for the measurement of social media usage in India. Students who registered for Information and Computing Skills Fundamentals II (ICT122) in five faculties in UB during the academic year 2021/22 participated in the study. The findings show that WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram were the most commonly used applications. Social media was mostly used for entertainment purposes followed by academic use. Additionally, there were no statistically significant differences in terms of dimensions of social media use of first year undergraduate students across the various faculties and students background in relation to location and type of secondary education. Furthermore, in general students faced some constraints with social media use, although overall it was moderate.","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"11 19","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113934409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Design methodologies assist in making decisions about the functionality encapsulated by each microservice in a system. Despite the documentation supporting microservice design, challenges remain in defining microservice boundaries and concise APIs exposing business capacities of the modern distributed, data-intensive, microservice-based system. API-First Design is an emerging methodology for enterprise system design. Its primary principle suggests that software design focus on well-defined APIs as its foundation. In its infancy, research, documentation, and tools that assist in adopting an API-First Design approach are minimal. The project discussed in this paper provides the research community with a set of practitioner-defined features and a prototype for an application intended to help promote the adoption of API-First Design via an API-Driven UI design and code generation application.","PeriodicalId":191129,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116055386","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
