This study also discusses the journey of art, the factors behind his work attitude, and the aesthetic concepts contained in his paintings. To answer these problems, qualitative research methods are used which include observation, interviews, and literature study. The research was conducted in the City of Bukittinggi and Padang Pariaman district, West Sumatra province. Based on the research results, the beginning of Afianto Arifin's artistic career began in Jakarta. Apart from painting, Arifin also got a project to make sculptures and reliefs. After that, Arifin was diligent in making paintings. Arifin tends to raise objects of natural scenery and women's beauty. The idea of creating Arifin's paintings was influenced by artistic factors and cultural factors in his native area, namely Bukittinggi. The aesthetic concepts contained in Arifin's paintings are discussed from the point of view of art styles, art structures, as well as the interaction of media and meaning. Yazid is a West Sumatran artist who is quite famous for his naturalist flow and cannot be separated from the concept of natural beauty. This study uses a qualitative method which includes observation, interviews, and literature study. The research was conducted in the cities of Padang, Padang Pariaman and Padangpanjang, West Sumatra. After conducting research, it was found that Unity (unity) in Yazid's paintings as a whole shows how the arrangement of lines, colors, and compositions are produced in a perfect shape so that it looks like a unity. This makes for distinctive strokes and soft colors and object capture. The complexity of Yazid's paintings can be seen in the lighting which is described as similar to what is captured by the five senses so that the object does not look simple. How Yazid tries to present the refraction of light that is shown in each of his paintings. The method used in this study refers to a qualitative method which includes field observations, interviews, documentation, and literature studies as well as research conducted in the Padang area, West Sumatra. Based on the results of research on the characteristics of Wakidi's color in his paintings, the use of soft colors in Wakidi's paintings is to remind him that nature is very beautiful and has a calm atmosphere. Based on the type of human according to the typology of Hypocrates and Galenus Wakidi, it is a Phlegmatic type. Wakidi tends to present natural scenery in the evening with a reddish color. The color characters in Wakidi's works are discussed based on color dimensions, color composition, and differences with other artists. There is a lot that can be learned and researched from Wakidi's active work in addition to being a painting teacher and an Mooi Indie artist at the beginning of the pioneering of fine arts in West Sumatra, as well as being able to become a cultural asset that elevates natural scenery and ancient culture into his paintings.
