The high antioxidant component in this fruit has become an attraction that makes its use in society more widely. Lotions are liquid or semi-liquid preparations with one or more active ingredients in a suitable vehicle, containing medicaments or non-medications, intended for use on undamaged skin. When using an emulsion base, the use of an emulsifier greatly affects the stability of the preparation. The aim of the research was to find a lotion preparation formula for red dragon fruit peel extract (in this case the tween and span emulsifier composition) with physical quality that meets the requirements and is the most stable in storage. Tests were carried out using the Freeze-Thaw Cycling method and the physical quality tests included organoleptic, pH test, adhesion test, spreadability test, and viscosity test. Testing The results of the evaluation of the physical quality and stability of the lotion formula made with variations in emulsifier concentration, namely the three formulas made met the physical quality and stability requirements for organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, and emulsion type tests. Meanwhile, only formula III met the physical quality stability requirements for the spreading power test. Statistically, the results of the normality test, the data are not normally distributed, then proceed with the Wilcoxon nonparametric test, the Wilcoxon test results show that there is a significant difference between the physical quality of the preparation before accelerated storage and the physical quality after accelerated storageKeywords: Lotion, Red dragon Fruit Peel (Hylocereuspolyrhizus), physical stability Buah Naga Merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) adalah salah satu buah yang digemari di Indonesia, komponen antioksidan yang tinggi dalam buah ini telah menjadi daya tarik sendiri yang membuat penggunaannya di masyarakat semakin luas. Losion adalah sediaan cair atau semi cair dengan satu atau lebih bahan aktif dalam pembawa yang sesuai, mengandung obat atau non-obat, yang dimaksudkan untuk digunakan pada kulit yang tidak rusak. Apabila menggunakan pembawa emulsi maka penggunaan emulgator sangat mempengaruhi stabilitas sediaan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menemukan formula sediaan losion ekstrak kulit buah naga merah (dalam hal ini komposisi emulgator tween dan span) dengan mutu fisik yang memenuhi persyaratan serta paling stabil dalam penyimpanan. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode Freeze Thaw Cycling dan mutu fisik yang diuji meliputi organoleptis, uji pH, uji daya lekat, uji daya sebar dan uji viskositas. The A. altilis plant has traditionally been used by the Indonesian people to treat diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this study was to determine the parameter of TNF-α level in obese mice (Rattus norvegicus). This study was used experimental laboratory with Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) design. It’s divided into 5 groups, and each group consisted of 5 rats that have been given a 45% fat (open source) high fat diet for fattening itself. Measurement of body weight to assess obesity and examination of fasting blood sugar (GDP) were used of DR glucose test kits. Group I was negative control, group II as positive control using metformin HCl, group III using A. altilis 5%, group IV A. altilis with 10% and group V A. altilis with 15%. Treatment was carried out for 14 days in each group and TNF-α levels was assessed with ELISA test. Nonparametric test was used to see the differences between each groups with a 95% confidence level. There was a significant effect of A. altilis with 10% extract toward TNF-α levels, where the value of p = 0.018. While the administration of extracts of 5% and 15% did not show a significant effect. Orthosiphon aristatus in the treatment of diabetes and its complications mainly include inhibiting the activity of -amylase and -glucosidase, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, regulating lipid metabolism, increasing insulin secretion, improving insulin resistance, increasing glucose absorption, promoting glycolysis, inhibiting gluconeogenesis, promoting glucagon secretion. -likepeptide-1 (GLP-1) and antiglycation activity. Phenolic acids, flavonoids and triterpenoids may be the main components for the hypoglycemic effect on O. aristatus. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the combination of cat whiskers leaf extract (EDK) and soursop leaf extract (EDS) on reducing blood sugar levels in mice (Mus musculus). This study is an experimental study with a randomized control trial pre and post test design using the glucose tolerance method. The test animals used were 15 male mice (Mus musculus) which were divided into 5 groups, namely group 1 control with 1% sodium carboxy methyl salicylic suspension, group 2, comparison group with 0.0065% glibenclamide suspension, group 3 combination EDK 3.5% (0.35 g/kgBW) and EDS 1.05% (105 mg/kgBW), group 4 combined EDK 7% (0.7 g/kgBW) and EDS 0.7% (70 mg/kgBW ), and group 5 a combination of 10.5% EDK (1.05 g/kgBW) and 0.35% EDS (35 mg/kgBW g) which was administered orally with a volume of 0.2 ml/20gBW in mice.
