At this stage with career planning, both individuals have to determine their own goals and the organisation also has to analyse to what extent it can provide these requirements. A well organised career planning carries weight in the terms of supplying prudential productivity. Thereby, the sustainability of career management and planning is possible with a career development system. Career development is a process which contains to provide the facilities of improving the personnel’s knowledge, skills and talents. This study was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test. Population of the study consisted of all male and female students of psychology and counselling and statistical sample consisted of 16 students (eight male and eight female) that were selected by voluntary sampling, and each of them were asked to subjectively rate their self-esteem in the field of relaxation which is scored from 0 to 100. The data were analysed using univariate analysis of covariance after the training sessions. The findings supported the effectiveness of relaxation training to increase self-esteem. So that relaxation training is to increase self-esteem in the students. Through advertising, businesses try to attract consumers with different methods, and they are involved in promoting and selling activities to introduce brand to the consumers. One of the methods used in advertising the consumer is celebrity starring. Sometimes celebrities from art environment, sometimes sports environment and sometimes from different environment meet with consumers through advertisements. Celebrity starring in advertising; It is seen that advertisers have good results for the businesses and also that it is in bad shape due to the loss of the brand's reputation. Purpose of the study; to determine if the celebrity used in the advertisements is in front of the mark, and to make recommendations about the celebrity use of the advertisements to businesses. The quantitative method was used in the study, sampling was done easily and a questionnaire survey method was applied to the consumers as a data collection tool. Determined celebrities and and brand names of their rolled advertisements were asked to consumers in the questionnaire. {"title":"University students' opinions on LGBT individuals","authors":"Funda Ozpulat, Fatma Yagmur Bulut, Merve Kor","doi":"10.18844/ijss.v1i2.2768","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18844/ijss.v1i2.2768","url":null,"abstract":"Bu çalışma, üniversite öğrencilerinin lezbiyen, gay, biseksüel ve transeksüel (LGBT) bireyler hakkındaki görüşlerini saptamayı amaçlayan tanımlayıcı bir araştırmadır. 18 Nisan - 11 Mayıs 2016 tarihleri arasında 600 öğrencinin katılımı ile yürütülen çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ve 2 bölümden oluşan anket formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiş, verilerin yüzdeler ve sayılarla değerlendirilmesi yanı sıra, Ki-Kare hesaplaması yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılanların %68.3’ü kadınlardan oluşmakta, %77.3’ü 17-21 yaş aralığında bulunmaktadır. %81.7’sinin ailesi çekirdek ailedir. {"title":"The investigation of mood and modality in the first letter of Nahj al-Balagheh based on the interpersonal metafunction of Halliday’s systemic functional grammar","authors":"Mohammad Ali ArabZouzani, Mohammad Reza Pahlavannejadb, Hossein Seyyedi","doi":"10.18844/ijntss.v3i2.3817","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18844/ijntss.v3i2.3817","url":null,"abstract":"Believing that some particular texts worth scientific studies, we put the first letter of Nahj al-Balagheh under investigation according to the concept of mood and modality in the interpersonal metafunction of Halliday’s systemic functional grammar. A brief literature of mood and modality is given first. Then, the theoretical framework of the study is set, and finally, the text of the letter is analysed and explained according to the theory. The result indicated that the theory is assignable to Arabic, the language of the letter, but mediation is needed. The mood structure is mostly leaning on the predicator as it pays an important role in showing tense, polarity and modality of the clause. Subject and modal adjuncts are also apparent in some clauses as mood elements. The text of the letter is composed mostly of positive statements so that a knowledgeable source, Imam Ali, gives information to a group of unaware deceived people about the controversial subject of the third Khalifeh’s death.
